I appreciate you showing us this rig, without all the background music, and hype. There's some good camera work there to considering it's a winter wonderland. Thanks you.
You know I always thought these were pointless here in North America, you can always find a 4wd Nissan Frontier that costs as much or less and does a lot more with no modification money needed, plus there is no street legal headache and you can get parts from you local store instead of having to order them off the internet. BUT! This is totally practical and worth it because its as light as you can go and still have all the pluses of a truck, like an enclosed cab and heat! Kudos to you sir, that not only looks like a great idea, it looks fun.
M. Perfekt As somewhat of a Nissan fan, I own a Giant Jacked Titan with 35s and 12.5s all done up, but man, I’d always take a mini truck over a Frontier lol.. I’m not a fan of em, though I’ve never owned one. Just from buddies .. But I am biased! I love JDMs, parts are pretty available where I’m at and ordering online is becoming easier as well, with decent shipping speeds.. But you’re 💯 % right, looks cool, and works great on frozen lakes for ice fishing, hunting, or any kind of adventuring.. All the benefits of a truck, with the weight of lil more than a UTV.. Good stuff!! Only problem, stupid expensive lol
Thats a very cool little beast. Light duty work horse for sure. Love it! Thanks for the video. I dont know where else I could have seen this setup in action.
I would love to see this done with a small load! Maybe not max, but like 4-500 lbs in the back, to see how it handles the deep with a payload as I assume most ppl will be carrying some sort of load..
Hello from east central Minnesota where we currently have nearly two feet of snow with another 10 plus inches on the way. This is very impressive, I could really use something like this for hauling wood and collecting maple sap in the spring. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice indeed if one takes into account your driving in powder type of snow which is about like dry sand. With wet snow with the tracks you don’t sink down as much. I met a guy that has 4 of these with tracks he uses them in one of the larger cities in the U.S. to keep sidewalks and parking lots free of snow. He has been using his for about five years now. He just loves them and said there is nothing near as good even side by sides for the jobs he has. Our Hospital even has had one well their second one now for 11 years for the security personnel and plowing snow among just a couple things they use them for. The price is really an investment if one considers everything thing they are capable of doing and keeping you warm and toasty in the cold months and cool in the summer ones. I own a compact Kubota tractor that is nice but for what I paid or it I could almost own 2 of the mini trucks with tracks - and everything you do to them. Hum maybe I should off my tractor LOL I love your videos contents and you do such a great shop describing and showing so much. Thank You and keep posting. P.S. Now I am going to check out your website next, Cheers
That is hands down the coolest thing I have seen!!! If you had a capable Toyota or a Jeep running along with you so you can see how much they struggle against this truck would be a good comparison maybe? Just a thought!! Love it though for sure!!
I think it'd be fun to figure out how to make a mini camper on the back. Maybe for one or two people? Diesel heater. Maybe two cots that folded down or something? Lights and room for a little gear.
You could run up on an old plow or impliment drifted over along that fence it tangleg up in discarded old barbed wire. I'm from snow country. Don't get too close to the fence or for sure treeline. Dandahermit
but will it kajigger over 20" of the white stuff and through the rhubarb patch with a full load of gardening antlers? Will it fetch my pontoon boat out of the summer pond before i convert it into the winter skating rink? I mean, does it do any tricks?
I love those little trucks they’re awesome I want to buy one and put the little 3 inch lift kit on it. I don’t know about everybody else but I love them I think they’re awesome!
led bar light mounted on top (2 yellow fog lights beside the bar and 2 for the back, lighting the area in the back) with separate rechargeable battery for the led bar would give u ample lights at nigh.
U should get portal boxes for it look up universal portal boxes for side by side it will drop those tracks 2 to 8 inches and reduce the gearing 2 to 1 or up to 4 to 1 what ever u choose I no they sell a cheap set of 4 for a grand
I’m not sure if I’m even considering it, but how would one of these trucks, or the mini van, be for a first car? I know I shouldn’t but this would be so cool. I could make a lot of memories in these things
What about EFI multicab having trouble since i climbing the hill the temperature goes up and down can you show me wheres the thermo fan switch located sir?
Would you swap one for a Suzuki jimny from uk lol and your missing out one of the most important things it's a Suzuki as much as they may feel cheap sometimes dare I say it. They will literally run FOREVER! And just are the best they reAlly do make some of the most fun and reliable 4x4s,
I'm wondering what the life expectancy is on the clutch. There's quite a bit more torque on the driveline in snow with the tracks versus tires on pavement. It's not like they're real heavy duty.
We have dozens of customers running tracks and even 2 who pull cross country ski trail groomers with them commercially with no issues at all. The key with tracks is that you are actually only turning a small sprocket inside the track so its like a natural major gear reduction of about 40% vs tires. Takes all the speed out of it but a lot of the stress too.
How much of a lift can you put on these trucks? Im seriously considering one of these or a unimog for our property. Iowa winters can be brutal with some deep snow.
I need to build myself something like this when I need to get to a customers house that their driveway hasn't been plowed or is covered with snow drifts
I’ve watched a tonne of videos and you really show the capabilities of the tracks on the mini trucks. I just bought a 1999 Suzuki Vatari and putting tracks on it. Any advice or info?
Thanks to you guys and another great mini truck channel, I've worked my budget for 2020 to have one of these. Dont know if I'll get the tracks for its first year though! I do love them though!
I'm so disappointed you did not have horrible techno music blaring in the background LOL I live in downtown Tokyo, I have a mini van, well I call it a "Micro Van" mine is a Subaru Dias. I'm a carpenter, and I use my micro van daily, it's great, not great on the highway, but I don't do much of that anyway. I'll keep mine forever, until I wear it out, then I'll rebuild it with better parts and keep using it. The mini trucks being imported into North America are a great idea, if I lived there I'd have one. I was wondering how much time it takes to remove the track set up and put the wheels back on? I was thinking if you put a set of these track on a micro van like mine, it can seat 4 comfortably and have a lot of room for gear too, it would be a great vehicle for a hunter, or a small group of hunters, or for a business that needs to ferry people around with their luggage in a very snowy environment. With a roof rack and some sort of carrier up there you could move three clients and gear fairly easily, and it would be MUCH cheaper than a snowcat. Mini truck rock! Cheers from Tokyo!
We have brought in a couple with factory turbos, and helped a customer out with parts on a T660 Turbo engine swap but that is about as much as we have played with the turbo side of things
Without truck, 13.5-14.5km/Litter. If you activate air conditioner, it runs 10.5-11.5km/litter. Frequentry stop and go in Japanese cities data they are. Putting on truck, I have not gotten usuful data.
If you live on a farm, a ranch, hunt, ice fish , mountain rescue ,park ranger , or live in isolation this would be a good vehicle to have. And cheap for what it does.
I appreciate you showing us this rig, without all the background music, and hype. There's some good camera work there to considering it's a winter wonderland. Thanks you.
I need one of this. With this setup.. that thing is cool as heck!

If you have 4 wheel drive, couldn't you take it out of low and gain speed? I have Trax on my 800 Can-Am and I never have it on low. Let me know.
I did the exact same thing except with a Tiny little Suzuki van. So much fun! and the PERFECT winter camping/ ice fishin rig!
I would love to see this done with a small load! Maybe not max, but like 4-500 lbs in the back, to see how it handles the deep with a payload as I assume most ppl will be carrying some sort of load..

… Had a Suzuki in the late ‘80s and loved it … sure would like to have one again …
Quite impressive. Actually very impressed with this
I put a track kit on my 1988 Suzuki Samurai, goes like your truck. I use it for pulling a snowmobile trail drag to groom trails in the sate of Maine.

Epic go pro angle!!! So cool
I live in Tahoe and I just bought a Sambar, I'll definitely be tracking it before next Winter!

That was cool! I'm actually surprised you got it stuck at all.
What does this entire setup run? Tracks truck lift. The works
$21,500 Canadian ($16,000 USD) Including ATV Wheels and Tires.
@@4sonsoffroad How long does it take to switch between wheels and tracks?
@@cjm6271 once you have the initial installation and setup done its only about 30-45 minutes to swap
There is one for sale near me just like the one in the video, but with a snowplow for just under 11K. It does have 62K miles, and a diff lock.
Looks like that show is well over a few of feet in spots. Those tracks certainly work with that truck. Good job.
I think it'd be fun to figure out how to make a mini camper on the back. Maybe for one or two people? Diesel heater. Maybe two cots that folded down or something? Lights and room for a little gear.
Pretty impressive little brute!
This lil buggy rocks!
I'm impressed.
dude this thing is like the ultimate ice fishing rig

If i had a place to play in the snow i most definitely would thing about getting one set up like this, enough said lol.
Got mud?
Very nice, be great for wood cutting this winter
It's awesome bro I have Suzuki every van .... like those track
I love those little trucks they’re awesome I want to buy one and put the little 3 inch lift kit on it. I don’t know about everybody else but I love them I think they’re awesome!
Nice how much did it cost?
Your fence posts say the snow is about 2 feet deep. You drag bottom at 18 inches. Im assuming 3 feet deep its just stuck constantly
Can those tracks work on mud and dirt also?
Cannot reach your website right now. Just letting you know it might be down
led bar light mounted on top (2 yellow fog lights beside the bar and 2 for the back, lighting the area in the back) with separate rechargeable battery for the led bar would give u ample lights at nigh.
Nice work. Would you be able to so such work for the US -25year rule Keis?
Is it a big job to go from tracks back to tires so this vehicle could be used all year?
Your website link doesn’t work .

wow, can we use a small part in our next compilation?
Yes with credit please.
@@4sonsoffroad of course, no problem
appreciate every sub i have, thanks for the support!
Ill check your channel out for being so courteous if its good ill subb.
Deadly unit!!
Great van. I want tracks on my car now!
How steep can mini truck with tracks go in snow? What does get it stuck?
You ever try a rear track and skis on front end? H.P rating on engine? Torque?
What about EFI multicab having trouble since i climbing the hill the temperature goes up and down can you show me wheres the thermo fan switch located sir?
Have you looked at the Can-am Apache Backcountry Track System for one these?
Who needs a Tracked RZR when you can build one of these badass
You need a selfie pole for a 3rd person shot off the rear or front.
Cool. Works pretty well.
great for a mini truck like that
Wow, it goes up hill, in the snow!!
Also, your page on FB doesn't list a way to contact you. Neither does your website. How can I get in contact with you
How fast can it go with the tracks
Why not add a battery warmer as well?
cool little truck ..for sure
How would these little trucks do for some weekend overlanding?
Thanks for this video! Do you know if these tracks can make it through sticky mud flats? In bad years, we might have to go 600' in calf-deep mud.
Yes they would. With these tracks the truck only exerts a ground pressure of about 1 psi
It’s like a mini unamog
Would you swap one for a Suzuki jimny from uk lol and your missing out one of the most important things it's a Suzuki as much as they may feel cheap sometimes dare I say it. They will literally run FOREVER! And just are the best they reAlly do make some of the most fun and reliable 4x4s,
How tall are you? Can a person 6'3 300 lbs fit in the cab to shift gears?
I think I need one of those
Where can i buy those tracks? Do you have for sale tracks?
Any idea what it weighs as it sits?
They sell mini trucks in the US?

awsome video thank you ..i love that toy
I think that truck would make a good little snowplow truck

Enjoyed the ride.
How fast will it go in high range on groomed trail?
Please test this haha
I've been thinking about doing something like this for so long! I can't believe its already a thing!
great video
How much for this truck?
Where abouts you from
Moving to northern Idaho..I think I will be coming to see you.
Dadwithallthecool if you’re a liberal from California, Texas is a better place to live. 👍

The spare you put on these trucks for the rest of the year is it an 8"?
I’ve watched a tonne of videos and you really show the capabilities of the tracks on the mini trucks.
I just bought a 1999 Suzuki Vatari and putting tracks on it.
Any advice or info?
Was that Barbie girl playing in the background?!?!😂
Yepo
crazy radio stations always playing random songs... whats up with that lol ;)
Come on barbie let's go party
I totally wasn’t singing along
R these street legal in the u.s., looks like a cheaper alternative for daily runner for work.
If its 25 years or older, they can be registered in the US.
Are the tracks something that can be run on the road or are they mainly for snow or mud what are the limitations For non snow weather
Tracks are best suited to soft terrain for sure. Much slower and rougher than off-road tires and not great on really hard rough or rocky terrain
Where are you guys based out of?
cost of those tracks?

It only takes about 1 hour to switch. You definitely would want to have a low range transmission for tracks however.
I have a hiace with them on it so amazing I live in CO. So ezy to get around
Aqua barbigirl on the radio!

How much these cost
What is top speed?
is this be legal to drive on road?
Have you guys tried turbocharging one of these trucks
We have brought in a couple with factory turbos, and helped a customer out with parts on a T660 Turbo engine swap but that is about as much as we have played with the turbo side of things
You can buy a Toyota hiace truck with a 3 l tdi
Where you at? I'm guessing Canada. Also, how much for a rig like that?
You can get a Toyota hiace pickup truck or van. 4x4 3 L tdi about 6k.
I like the Toyota because they have real truck frames. Use the Tacoma drive train.

wow that cooool mini truck suzuki with 4 mattracks on the snow...
can use on the sand
sensational
In the philippines we call it multicab
Would make a nice little run-about for ice fishing 🎣 A
