- We loaded up camping gear into our mini DIY campers, these are installed on our JDM mini trucks. Heading out to the mountains for some winter snow off-roading. Andy's truck is a Honda 4WD Acty attack, mine is a Suzuki Carry 4X4.
Both campers have Chinese diesel heaters that keep them warm especially in winter weather.

Here’s a few other mini truck videos you probably will like 👍
Here’s a video from my brother with the Honda ruclips.net/video/0NlxADQZn38/видео.html
Here’s another camping video I made recently. ruclips.net/video/G0opWrJ7bFk/видео.html
Many more on my channel as well 😊👍
Awesome! thx!
Keep checking around glass places. A good glass guy can take the current windshield and make you a new one. I've seen them add just enough heat to melt the new glass just enough to lay on the old one and match the curve of it. If it is really flat, that's even easier.
Love the trucks. Maybe if you added some hooks or D-rings on the side of both trucks, you could span a tarp between them when camping. Gives you a dry spot in bad weather. Keep the videos coming.
Just finished watching "Drew Builds Stuff" and his tiny snowmobile camper and now this pops up I guess snow 🌨 camping is today's theme 😁❄️
I just watched that video too, lol
Whoah, me too!!
NOW THATS proper off roading/camping. No one utilizes the mini truck/van they are so much better than UTV’S and getting to be out in snow - I’m holy jealous lol
Thank you Mike! Nice to watch something devoid of current issues!
Thanks Chris 😊 I hear you on that man. Have a great weekend 👍
Just ordered an Acty because of you! You the man!
I think you will like it 👍
Thanks, Mike. Always look forward to your videos 👍. Don't worry about the haters... just send it!
I have always thought if you got one of these trucks stuck, you would just lift it one handed like a sofa 😂
These trucks are too cool for words, I have a Suzuki carry and you’ve inspired me. Nice video
Haven’t even watched it yet. But can’t wait to see what you got for us Mike. Just getting started. Thanks for making it a complete Friday for me 😊
Thanks Rich! I appreciate it 😊
These tiny trucks are so cool. I would love to build one myself. At the moment with a family this would be too unpractical, so in the meantime i will gladly watch more of your videos and participate in this manner. 😊
I wisely drove under a forest road train bridge that was re-stoning and got multiple cracks on my windshield due to the golf ball sized rocks raining down on me. I ended up having a nice line that worked its way out and I was able to stop its progress with Rain-X's stuff (Permatex is probably just as good). You need to really work the fluid into the crack by *carefully* pressing on the glass to get it to seep down in. Ideally you do this inside/out of the light to prevent pre-mature curing. It's important to then use those clear films they give you to lay over the crack line (I cut mine down thin so I had enough). That film somehow activates the fluid with sunlight to cure. I did this back in September or so and the cracks haven't progressed at all through the winter.
Man I’m jealous! Soon enough I’ll have room for these kind of projects too.
I grew up in Kitsap and live I Spokane now. Moving back in the next year or so and these videos definitely make me miss home.
I have never camped in the snow we don't get all that much in Australia but you look like your having a great time I'm jealous
Thanks for checking out my new video! Hopefully we can get another snow camping trip in before the weather warms up again. Take care 😊
I love this truck. The green is awesome . Totally badass. Beautiful camping. Sorry to see the windshield cracked. These things are so tough and nimble. Congratulations and thank you for sharing.
Thanks Matt 😊👍
Great vid Mike!! I still cant get over how capable these trucks are!! Really makes me want to build one, im starting to see them around my area now!
Do you remember the little baggie I found on my dash when I was "fixing" my windshield with WD40 and superglue? That bag of garlic reminds me of that 😆 (sorry about your windshield RIP)
Looks like fun times man, and you didn't even have to play forest janitor! Great vid, thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Haha yes I remember your video 😂👍
👍👍 those trucks are very cool.
Wish they had more upfront room
for my two pups
They make them in 4 door.
言葉は日本人なのでわからないけど、この旅は面白い。日本の軽トラック最高だ😂
日本の軽トラック最高だ Yes!!! ♥
i love these camping videos keep them coming
Just loving the campers. Got an Acty coming in a month or so and seriously considering a camper build
Thanks for sharing the adventure. I love the simplicity and ingenuity of your camper builds!
Thanks man 😊👍
FYI. I helped one of my camping buddies with a 1990 mini truck overland build. he Pulls a home built teardrop camper with it. Just an Idea you might want to venture into someday.
keep this series alive i love this
Oh God, I was waiting weeks for this. Ty for the upload.
Got some Sleet over the night, I see.
I wish I had one of these trucks with that set up. I so regret buying a RZR. The RZR is fun but laws here limit the use and the hurricane wrecked a lot of the trails making in even more restrictive.
You guys need some FRS radios or CBs while rolling and trying to communicate. Love the content and the music.
Much luv ✝️❤️🇨🇦.
Here in Britain we rarely get any snow and when it does we just can't cope. I've said this before, those campers are very capable in any condition.
Love your guys rigs!!! Simple is what I love about them…
I like theses little trucks so much. Thanks guys and take care.
Another great video Mike. Thanks and keep ‘‘em coming.
Thanks for taking us along Mike!
Cheers
Terry
Thanks for checking out my new video Terry 😊
Love what you have done with your trucks
Enjoy your videos. I drive a stock Samurai 2WD everyday to work and I enjoy it. I think you put out great content AND are out doing things and thank you for sharing!
Watched Andy’s vid prior to yours, shows you’re really getting the most out of these trucks and the camper boxes.
Thanks for checking out our videos! I really do appreciate it 👍😊
we have been really enjoying these mini campers.
Man I hope Hobo Dave appreciates your use of his music for these videos as much as I do. Bravo !!
A Panama surfing vehicle for sure.
Lodging up the surfboards and scuba gear. Spearfishing 👍
Get you some of that babu
I love the sound of those motors! LOL
Looks like those little campers were totally worth the time to build, awesome addition to a fun little vehicle…thanks for the upload dude..:)
Thanks for checking out my new video 😊👍
Like the new plow truck
Thank you for share your winter camping adventure 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Oooohhh fancy pants beers. Spoke too soon. Fancy din din toooooo
Seriously a nice video it was like camping with you guys over there
It was great to see you guys!
Cheers 🍻
Thanks Allan! 😊👍
Really enjoy watching your adventures. Looks like you need a canopy rigged up off the back of the camper. Thanks for the great content.
These mini trucks are really fascinating vehicles. 👍
Really great video again. Love that you got so much variety in your videos, workshop/technical stuff and camping trips and minibikes. Keep up the good work, I never miss any of your videos.
Thanks 😊 I really appreciate it 👍
Looks like Alot of Fun. Great Video Mike ..
Thanks Thomas! 👍😊
I use a Milwaukee electric chainsaw with vegetable oil. If she ever leaks there isn't a Petro smell so thats a bonus 😁
Enjoying these lil camper adventures 🤙
Not gunna lie I’m kinda envious of your guys setup my Chevy Tracker is a little to small for winter camping. My favorite thing to do with my son is to go over landing on weekends and explore Michigans national forest. We just bring hammocks and a tent in case it rains. It’s funny my sons more excited for spring than me he asks me at least once a week if it’s morel mushroom season yet. I watch your brothers channel too and heard him mention mushroom hunting it’d be cool to see some content doing that.
Epic video dude! Glad you’re addressing some of the idiots who are trying to pick faults and so called design flaws in the builds by people who haven’t built anything in their lives. Trucks look amazing you’ve inspired me to make a camper box for the back of my Acty. Love the videos keep up the good work from Mike in Wales 🏴 Uk
Thanks Michael! I really appreciate your comment. You definitely should build a camper! My friend got so excited about our mini campers he started building one for his small Ford Ranger, it’s turning out pretty cool.
Really enjoying these videos you and your brother are doing. Very calming to watch.
Thanks Jon 😊
Your videos are fun to watch. Very cool that you, your brother and nephew get to run together! Keep the videos coming. I also really like your welding videos.
Right on thanks Mike 😊👍
Great trip , thanks for sharing 👍
Reminds me of going camping with my Suzuki Samurai. Camp at night, ride the mountain and drink beer all day
Dude I love the channel and the content! Seems like no matter what the topic is, I can’t get enough of it all.
Keep doing what you do man! 👍🏻👍🏻
Right on! Thanks man I really appreciate it. I’m glad you found my channel 😊👍
Absolutely love your mini truck videos. Looks like great fun winter camping.
Thanks Norman! I appreciate it 😊
Love the mini truck videos I’m planning on doing something like this for the summer on my channel good old fishing rig !!
Yous need a big skies put on the front so you can skie them through 😅🤣 look like fun little rigs, looks like yous had a blast, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Great video. Here in Newfoundland Canada some people put atv tires on those trucks and snow tracks for side by sides. Cheers
Great video. Love the chill vibe with the music choice. You guys need some mini awnings!
I love the idea of using 4x4 Kei truck. Thinking about doing the same. Sadly there are no such truck sold in my country, only way is to get a recondition one from Japan with higher cost than buying a brand new D-max.
Looks like so much fun. I would love to build a camper and truck like that.
The snow coming down at the higher elevations was so beautiful! Pretty adventurous headin up those roads in the dark with the threat of trees downing or washouts in a bad spot..but you guys seem to think things out pretty well, I'll say!
And a good time was had by all! Fun stuff Mike
Thanks Doug 😊👍
Man.. such cool little campers. Think it'd be cool to add a tarp awning out back so you can cook on the tailgate and be put of the rain/snow. Great content. Safe travels
Love the video and love those trucks
Great vid! Love the mini campers such a great idea
Thanks Matthew 😊👍
I love the kei truck camping videos. Now I want one except the kei van. I dont have space to build a camper
The vans are really cool as well, 👍 I want a van too but i have enough vehicles 😂
I’m in the Uk but watch a lot of outdoors adventuring, I love your little pod campers would I be right in thinking you pop them on a sled of some sorts and tow them behind a snowmobile. They look to be similar to what others have used for ice fishing.
Awesome! PNW for life! Love your adventures 💯
Thanks man! 😊👍
Another great video, like the PNW scenery and background tunes too. Sorry to see your windshield damage, if the DIY doesn't work, should be able to get a professional shop to do the stop drill and fill trick. All the best, thanks!
Great Adventure driving through the snow. I sure you slept nice and warn with your diesel heater
Thank you for sharing
Your adventures.
Thanks for checking out my new video David! 😊👍
Another great adventure. Thanks for sharing...
Thanks for checking out my new video Trey! 👍
I like the setup but thinking a small canopy/awning would be a good addition. Enjoying the videos.
cool video
Great video!
Another great video, thanks
Man these adventures are incredible Mike!
Thanks for checking out my new video!
It was fun getting out in the snow 😊👍
Great video once again Mike...👍
You need to add a bracket to that tailgate to drop a big fishing brolli into, keep the rain off for cooking and brewing up ....
The adventures keep getting more exciting. Thanks Mike for the ride-a-long.
Bummer about the windshield. Since they are not available at every glass shop, I wonder if there is room in the cab to keep a glass repair kit on hand? Hear the telltale sound of the rock impact, pull over, then inspect and repair if needed before it gets a chance to grow. All the best to you and your brother (and his camera assistant 🙂). 👍👍😎👍👍
you can drill a little hole thru half the windshield at the end of the crack and it will stop it from spreading then use some of your crack sealer in it.
This new series of Kei camping videos with your brother is so good! Smart call on heading to a lower elevation. Getting rigs unstuck in snow is such a drag.
So bummed about your window! Maybe MCW can get you a replacement?
Thank you for sharing! Really enjoyed this one!
Thanks for checking out my new video Dan! The window is a bummer, I knew it was going to happen at some point, I just was hoping it wasn’t for many more years. I will call around some parts houses this spring and see if I can track one down.
Take care buddy 😊👍
Looks like fun 🤩
very fun!
this was an awesome one thanks brotha
Thanks man I really appreciate it 😊👍
Love your videos and awesome tunes!
Thanks Shane! 😊👍
Great diy campers and such a nice video of your trip. Really liked those small cars also, never seen that kind here in Finland. Best regards, Ken
Thanks for checking out my video Ken 😊 I have a wide range of videos and topics on my channel 👍
Those are such fun vehicles and you can do a lot with them. I am so sorry we never got the 4x4 models here in South Africa . For sure I would have had one.
looked like fun
Guys, modest awnings for the back of the trucks, cooking under for the use of ;-)
Wunderbar! Love from Singapore forever 💕🐰🐷🐨🐶
Mike I was just watching another RUclips channel and Ants Pants was giving you some props 👍he referred to you as the god of welding! I tend to agree too!
Yes Ants is great 👍 I really like his videos. I think we have been subscribed to each other’s channels for the past 7 or 8 years. We both built DIY sawmills years ago, that’s how we came across each other’s channels 😊👍
Snow chains! They make a world of difference. They are easy to get over here in Japan but might be hard to get the right size in the states.
Yes definitely 😊👍
My brother bought a set recently, I still need to go buy some. I have been looking at some stores that sell used sets but haven’t found the right size yet.
That pasta sounded awesome! I love smoked salmon! 1st video of yours to watch. Thanks for sharing! I have a mini firetruck and want to do some fun stuff with it eventually. The back part is unbolts, and it would be great to put a little camper on the back! :)
Cheers! Feom Canada! 🇨🇦
Thanks for checking out my video! I have more covering these little trucks 👍 is your mini a Honda or Suzuki?
That’s cool
You guys sure know how to avoid the crowds when you go camping Mike!
Thanks for checking out my new video👍 Yep it’s nice to get off the beaten path 😊
👍👍👍
