Coko can sing her butt off. Her voice takes me back to the 90's, very nostalgic. Coko is definitely one of my top 3 singers of all time. Love love love SWV.

This Tiny Desk was amazing. Lele's voice is distinct and I can always hear it. Taj always holding it down with her part - a singer!! And Ms. Coko made some intentional choices with her phrasing and other choices with moving her voice that were masterful. OOOOOWEEEEE!!!
Thank you for mentioning Lele & Taj. I never liked that they were underestimated. Yes, Coko is the distinct lead but they definitely can hold their own. After all, the group was Lele’s vision.
The audience was on point. I love it. It's a testament of SWV's influence.

I’m not a musician but I know good music. I’ve only seen like two or three of your videos, but this is really dope to see you break down videos this way with the knowledge and talent to explain what folks are intentionally doing with their voices.

Jaron you should make the polyphonic segment of this vocal analysis into a short. And add the words onto the short when you describe the 3 sections. Also add in what the BGV are doing as well. Oh and I'm happy you put it out so quick! Not Jaron delivering same day like Amazon!
This was amazing, my only complaint is the vocal mics should of been turned up a bit more, cause the live instruments are louder and you can miss some of the nuances and style choses they made with runs/riffs if you’re not keen or watching for them… they get lost in sound in a few places. But still stellar performance from one of my all time fav girl groups.

I’ve always been a fan of how they had interesting chords in their music while singing mostly easy-to-follow melody in the verses. Of course with the vocal harmony work going in between those two layers.

SWV gave me my life. It was a whole sing-a-long in my car. I was a little off key, but still.😊 THEY SOUND GREAT AFTER DECADES & shout out to Jalen (CoCo's son) he is awesome. That soft T was so smooth as this song was too & her maturity singing Rain Down On Me is bone chilling. One of my favorite Tiny Desk Concerts. And the back ground singers diiiiid that. WOWWWWWWW

This was amazing!! Such great voices! For some reason this reminded me though: We need some Maxwell analysis. Not This Woman's Work, falsetto Maxwell, but just Maxwell in general. That man sang with such articulation, he embodied every note he sang. So much air too, words just flew out his mouth in such a smooth way. And his vibrato? Hmmmm
