pushpins are your friends... The nitro doorslammer does have a long wheel base and I thought it would be a good car, but it rolls over pretty often. I have one running at Ricks WAR Rick vs. DA. It is quite fast but rolls over easily.
The tight turn radius of The Slingshot is where your build is most vulnerable at the Comet Tail, StoopidFR. It seems to like the other two turns well enough there. Great deco on that Nitro Doorslammer, even from the rear! While the track at Bathurst doesn't have highly banked turns, a bad contact with the armco and a narrow wheelbase can indeed lead to a nasty wreck
The Door Slammer does not have much room for weight. It needs the front half of the interior at least unless I do a lead casting of the entire interior. Thanks
@@sstdiecastracing2372The car is fast... ran a 5.44 and I have only seen one other car in this race run a faster lap. I sectioned the chrome piece to retain the interesting parts and was able to put in a good bit of weight and met the max. Dont know what the max is for bathurst. But AFTER I sent the car I watched a couple of other of Ricks videos and a different doorslammer was having the same issues... If I had seen that before I sent the car, I would have picked a different car.
6:00 those poor lonely dirt track racers left behind in the three HW Race 5-packs on the wall 😂 Won't anyone host an event just for that class of racer? 🤣 Lethal Diesel, the OD green car you showed us, I see it entered often in races that allow it, and you can get performance out of it. What bugs me is the exposed front wheels. One bad hit there and it's game over. You kind of lost me during the discussion of removing the back end of the Doorslammer; I'll chalk it up to musing and spitballing ideas out loud. The 69 Charger 500, any castings with that much body lift and raked rear end will give me questions BUT in the hands of folks like Flip & Numbskull those questions seem to vanish. On the fence about this one. You keep it up and those walls will be more screws than wood! Good luck with the new direction of your test track Bill 💯😎🏁
OOH! I see what you are talking about. I have 5 of those. That is the pack/are the packs from which I got my Are You Trukin' F150 Lightning and the SuperBird. I see now. The DoorSlammer in from the HW HorsePower packs. Thanks.
@sstdiecastracing2372 oh that makes sense! For cosmetic reasons only, I snipped off the trailer hitch on a MBX Ford Explorer because it was so chunky and over-sized
If you need rehab then wtf do I need I have 10 x that 😂 please organize those cards better your giving me a stroke pile them neatly you have a good collection going dont ruin them
Same, man. Same. I have four pull out doors of cars and ones for parts, some in a bag. It's a problem.
This is not including the mod cars in the 8 compartment clear plastic cases. I need a shelf for them as they are stackable. Thanks.
The F1 race is starting soon! Later!
They're still jabbering on the pit straight!
Sweet sign bill
A Christmas gift last year from Bill's daughter if I recall
Definitely cool!
@@Chris_Hood Correct.
@@Chris_Hood outstanding gift thank you for the information
@@vincentbanksjr.7509 Thanks, But she forgot the "diecast" part. However, very nice anyway.

I can't quite see the rear wheel width, but if narrower than the Stinger, it COULD be roll over city.

Ya, the charger has too much junk on the bottom. The other 3 are very flat and smooth. Thanks man.
So, I have 2 of those, ah, track builder series?

OK, The doorslammer, cut off the plastic wheelie bars in the back. No way I can actually cut off the back end and make it look nice.
