My advice as a indian. Dont get scared or uncomfortable if families or people are starring at you. In India its still new thing to see foreigners. sometimes they just look at you out of curiosity 😅. But once you will endure everything, you will love it. honestly i have been to 17 western countries and lived as well. i find indians most open and friendly people. another reason why i still miss my home.

WE ARE INDIANS ABOVE ALL,,#INDIA should “TURN Our WEAKNESS TO ITS STRENGTH” and MAKE SURE IT’S CLEAN & STRONG WHAT’S CONSIDERED AS dirty or WEAK,, BE THE PART OF SOLUTIONS,,Don’t label Delhi or MUMBAI as dirty,,People live there too,,,,don’t mention problems plaguing the country,Be A part of Solution Please 🙏🏻 Amongst the Citizens we must care about malnourished children more than the healthy ones. The reason slums of Old Delhi or Mumbai are dirty is because crowds of people are overly populated, uneducated ,unhygienic ,we need to maintain our Green zone and cleanliness around that Area more.

Why is snowfall in India so surprising? We have a whole Himalayan range and so many of our states lie in this range. Do foreigners not expect snowfall in the world's highest mountain range?

    • @therash09

@@NataliesPassport, interesting! That surprises me because the world knows the basic fact that India has the Himalayan range. And given that the western world enjoys a very high literacy rate, one would expect at least them to apply basic common sense in this regard. One reason behind this could be that these people perceive the Himalayan mountains as tropical, devoid of any snow or chill, despite its elevation. The other could be that human ignorance is so rife that most of the times, stereotypes trump reasoning, the level of education notwithstanding.

Seeing your hometown in the videos is really weird. The thing i love about Shimla is I can tell it's my city just by the architecture as the city has a lot of buildings from british times. It feels like a special city to me.

The Indian Institute of Advanced Studies building that you visited was the Viceregal Lodge before it became the President of India's summer retreat after independence. That was practically from where the British Viceroy controlled all of India in summers. In other seasons, he was in Delhi, in the same building that we today call the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President of India's official residence.

Shimla was the 'summer' Capital of British India in the 19th century along with Calcutta (today called Kolkata) - the 'winter' capital. At that time, there were no motor cars and the entire British Indian government including all the people and the stuff they would need, used to load up on animals and travel to Shimla and back to Kolkata in a caravan...Many buildings and other structures from the British era still remain in
Shimla. And the combination of the British and Pahari (mountain people) cultures, gives Shimla its unique Identity and ambience

I'm from Shimla and regularly travel to places by foot because of snow and stuff during winters and it's a heavenly experience.. Even when you are out with friends at night during thunderstorms and snow its so good.. I remember my mother carried me when i was 13 months and walked up to Jakhu temple holding me all the time.. Idk how she did it but it's amazing 😭
