The advantage of bringing Mike along is his running hilarious snarky commentary in the background. I vote for brining him along! I like your purchases! I don't have the patience to look through the junk. My sister and one of my daughters have the gift of looking at a pile of junk and finding the one good thing.
Yes, get the cottage chair and ottoman! I would buy it if I could be there!!
I agree!! Buy it! 🥰
Haha I totally would have also told that person, "Enjoy your new door!" 😁🤩 I like thrifting for the same reasons that you mentioned -- it's a more sustainable, unique way to reflect your interests and style than by just buying new stuff from trendy stores. Thanks for sharing!
Cute blazer! Love the tin - for holding sewing notions, stationery, old greeting cards, great to hold sandwiches for a picnic, or even to hold make-up, spices, photos. However, my fav?!? Where’s the chair???? Oh my gosh, you didn’t buy the chair?!? I absolutely loved that chair!!! RUN! Go back and get it! 😁🥰👍😜🤪
Get it Megan! That chair set was so cute! Great to see you thrifting again, it has been a minute! Love you all so much, been watching for years!!
I love it when you take us shopping with you - Mike cracks me up! He truly is a good sport 😂
I really enjoy Mike going to the thrift stores as he has a dry wit and you two are amusing :)
Firstly let me say I love sharing thrifting finds!! My sister is the “Queen” of thrifting in that she goes out to find fabrics or other items for projects, and she returns with them - all the time. Also now she is Snow-birding to Arizona- Sun City which is a Mega of people retiring and purging household goods. She is always telling and showing me her finds. But anyway onto my weekend find. I have been looking for a behind the sofa console table, which I want to place 2 lamps. There just isn’t the width in my living room for end tables, so a behind the couch means of providing reading light, is what I was after, and well beauty. I also bought a leather tufted back sofa, in a cream color (the kids are grown), and I was loving how things were beginning to look and decided upon wanting Ginger Jar lamps. Well I found very cheap ginger jar lamps at a retirement community thrift store, but of course by the time I am done with new shades ($$); base; re-wire well they are no longer cheap, but still a bargain from what you could find comparable from E-Bay or anywhere else, and who would ever want new? Not me. So the sofa console table has taken months to find, but I got one this weekend at the RE store (love RE stores). I am not sure how I will refinish it, I have ideas. Right now I’ll finish with the lamps (one more base to come in the mail). Oh yes the lamp refitting so far are $100 a piece but that is still ok. The shades were a must, but the bases, which were a heavy composite… were broken from some rough housing on a sleep over of 4 grandsons. The ceramic held up, and while the new bases costed $40 pc (plus shipping) I am happy to say they look much nicer anyway, the new ones are real wood, carved. I don’t know anything else as satisfying as thrifted “finds”. I feel the same as you expressed about mass production and in particular sad about our throw away mentality. Thrifting and refreshing found items, is the BEST form of recycle-reuse. And it gives us the one of a kind, personalization that is just so fun. Happy Thrifting Megan!
Thing’s definitely fall through the crack depending on who is working. I got a Baccarat decanter set this past summer when it was first rolled out for $16. It’s retail is $1500. I also have an amazing rug collection from Goodwill.
The painted cabinet you saw was absolutely amazing!
my mum had that Tupperware mat thing to roll stuff out on when I was little. Core memory unlocked!
The cookie box is amazing. It caught my eye and reminded me of my childhood. We used to get one each year for Christmas. Otto Schmidt Lebkuchen = Gingerbread in Nuremberg Germany produced them. So if you google these boxes you find a lot of them. The cities on your box are if i remember correctly all German Cities. Great box an huge value. They sell here on marketplace for 30 up to 270€ a box!
Can we talk about the black cabinet? It was stunning!!
I stopped shopping a Goodwill some time ago, as they have become so greedy with the prices. Thankfully, I have several other thrift stores in the neighborhood that haven’t completely lost their minds. Always enjoy your thrifting vlogs.
Did I just click out of one video for this?!??YEP I SURE DID AND I AM NOT SORRY ABOUT IT ❤let’s go thrifting 🎉
I am totally supporting your furniture habit and enabling you. Get that chair and ottoman! It is so your style and goes with your decor!
Get the chair and ottoman!
Also you could totally wear that blazer with a red or pink top under it for Valentines day!
That chair and ottoman was awesome. You should get it, if still available.
Your thrifting videos have been so inspiring for me over the years! I think of you nearly every time I thrift or decorate using my home with thrifted items. I’ve started shopping at Marshalls/walmart bc they’re usually cheaper and better quality than my local thrift store, but I DO reuse the same items year after year. It’s like seeing an old friend each year when I take them out. 🥰
I actually walked in Ross shortly after Christmas, and they are so much like a thrift store price wise. They have a lot of valentines items that are really cute. Found a couple of kitchen towels for only a couple dollars. It’s a fun store too. I have checked thrifts out recently and the couple that I went to had tons of clothes but they didn’t have much decor. Which is what I was looking for. I did however find a couple of hoodies. I have tons but those are my favorite clothing items.☺️
Never ever feel guilty for Thrift shopping! It's your passion and hobbies 💯 ✨️ :))
Keep bringing Mr. knorpp. He levels us all out.
The tin is most likely a container from Nuernberg, Germany, use for shipping Lebkuchen all over the world. The label on the bottom will most likely tell the tin-story. using these pretty items for storage is a smart idea.
The club chair would look nice by your fireplace.
I would have bought the plaid pastel chair, I really enjoy thrift store shopping with you❤❤❤
My goodwill has completely lost their mind. Last week they had luggage for $76 & $80. Basic, non-name brand fabric sided rolling luggage. Absolutely criminal. For years they’ve had broken items for $.50 cheaper than they cost brand new in the store, but they’re taking advantage of the community at this point. I honestly think they have some people in the back looking things up online & matching those prices. Bc there’s no other explanation when Walmart items are the same price as they are in the store brand new. $ store items are ALWAYS 2-3x the original cost, no matter the item quality or condition. Very disappointing!! I refuse to donate there & will drive father to donate to a better store!
I agree 100%. I won't buy or donate there anymore. I have seen many things that are above store prices and they haven't even bothered to clean them up a bit.
I went to our local Goodwill , looking for baby onesies for my female dog that was being spayed for her to wear after surgery. They wanted $1.99 for nasty stained things. I passed.
Same here in Ohio
I REFUSE to donate anything to Goodwill!
I give it to St Vincent De Paul,
which gives people vouchers
for furniture, household & clothing.
Unfortunately, they are pricey as well!
So sad that poor people have absolutely no place to shop.
Mine has done the same. We have other thrift stores where I live but their prices went up when Goodwill's went up. I refuse to pay new prices for used items unless I'm actively hunting for a certain older product. But I still cringe. How is it thrifty when it costs almost the same a new? I hope these thrift stores get hurt in their greedy pockets and they bring their prices down where they belong!
Here in New Zealand ours have been ridiculously over priced for awhile. I also wonder how much of the money these stores make actually go to the people or animals in need, especially when the people who work in ours are all volunteers.
Great finds. I love tin boxes too and that one is a really great size.
I love thrift shopping but as you say they are not like they used to be - you have to hunt for a bargin - they are now money making businesses - even here in New Zealand they have become very expensive - sometimes buying on marketplace privately is cheaper but not as much fun as going through a thrift store
Meghan you inspired me to go shopping even though I don’t need anything 😂 dangerously fun!
Yay!!! I have missed your thrift videos! Well, actually all your videos since they have been shorter but thankful when you do have time to post. ♥️♥️
The Tin would be good as a photo storage box or a sewing box x
I would have got that chair and footstool for that price!! ❤
My mom had the that Tupperware pie mat!
I got SO aggravated at the RESTORE store prices I almost turned the video off!! Those $100 asian style planters were stupid pricing. I get them at Goodwill for $15! And yea, good ole Mike just doesn't get thrifting!! But he sure can build a house! Woo hoo!!
Hey there Megan! Our thrift stores are outrages... People resell so that's why.We don't have them here in Florida.😊❣
Our habitat store was become ridiculous in there pricing too! On another note did someone count how many times Megan said cute? 🤣
44 as it happens! 😂 It is her favourite shopping word!
OMGosh! I LOVE YOUR CURLS!!! They are perfect!
You should get the chair and the pottery candle holder! The pottery was hand made and the color was glorious!
100% yes on that chair! Its you!
I never have cute furniture at my goodwill. I would have bought that chair and ottoman in a hot skinny minute.
When you said “it’s gonna be fun girls” I was like “wait - I’m a 41 year old man from sydney australia!” 😂
Megan ❤ I always look forward to your cute sweaters and holiday earrings.
Your hair is stunning! I wish mine looked like that. Love thrift videos.
GW does pull some furniture and then lists it as local pickup only. Please look up what the CEO of GW makes!
Yeah GW is definitely not a non-profit.
I'm German so I have SO MANY of those Lebkuchen cookie tins. In various shapes and sizes. I love them AND great for storage! I chuckled because I have that very one...lol.
Hello, Meagan! So happy to see you in the thrift store again. Discerning quality and interesting home decor from the plethora of stuff in the thrift store is one of your super powers. I am pretty good at it too and have bought new furniture just once... a department store sofa was purchased soon after I was married some 40 years ago. I have also purchased mattresses new. But that's about it. But I digress... i just want to say again, I love seeing the thrift store through your eyes.
I thought the chair and ottoman were a great deal and if you need more seating, I say go for it, though the plaid seems a little too pedestrian for your ecclectic and bolder taste. It looks to be well built though and in great condition.
I'd like to remark about a find at the Restore. You picked up a plate from a "cottagey set" (I am quoting you). The dishes were florals with a fair bit of yellow and some lilac. I immediately thought of your declaration that you wanted to elevate your Easter decor and I thought these dishes were perfection and I could visualize them on a table decorated with low dishes planted with miniature daffodils, grape hyacinths with a bed of moss at their feet where lovely soft chenille chicks nesteled amongst petite blue eggs. I got so excited for it! And then a few moments later you picked up the yellow pressed glass plates and declared how much you love them. I love that elegant scroll pattern and the color would be perfect to mix with the "cottagey set". I mean, that's elevated! At least in my mind's eye.
Now lastly, you could store these dishes in that gorgeous painted black cabinet that was in the first store. I'm surprised that didn't have you pondering it more seriously. It would be beautiful in your bedroom, in your kitchen, maybe it suits Pearl's taste and would be great in her and Evie's room. It would be excellent to store craft supplies, dishes, clothes. It would be gorgeous with a decadently lush tassel hanging from the ring handle on the doors. I think someone likely used it for their microwave or TV or stereo with the holes cut out for wiring. But if you can repair or ignore that, its a stunner of a piece.
Please, let's shop again soon. ;) ❤
Your thrifts stores are great. Especially the first one - with furniture! It pays to live near a “wealthy” area.
I would have gotten the sweet plaid chair with the ottoman. $15! 🤦♀️💕🙋♀️
What a buy. 🎉
Haven’t even gotten into the video - had to say that I Love seeing your videos more often again!
I loved the round table at the first place
Our thrift stores have lost their minds on prices. They take dollar store item and mark up even with old price tags on them.
My husband has learned to wait in the car and scroll his smart phone because he can't stand the smell of thrift stores let alone all the junk. I like that because I hate when he walks behind me through a store. I feel like I have to rush because he is so not enjoying the experience.
So can relate to that.
Lol, you two make my heart sing ❤
oh you went right by the red lamp shade....great little pop of romance and good for christmas too...
The chair set would look great in your home.
YES on the chair!
Yes to the chair
New cookie bite game!
Every time the word
"Cute" is mentioned.😂😅
Loved the chair and stool and the rug! I would have got them. Unfortunately too far away from me here in Scotland! 😊
Thank you - I always enjoy thrifting with you!
I love that tin. I’m searching for a tin to store my various tea bags. I may start looking at thrift stores instead of online.
We’re on a tight budget and a lot that needs to get done. Your right about thrift stores and know the pros and cons. A couple we go to accepts only cash and no dressing rooms (we always try clothes on-I’m open to alternatives but my daughter there better be a try on)
It all depends on the sorters out the back some sorters like particular things eg crockery, dolls, linens etc…and they stick they like and throw the rest out.
I love when you go thrifting!!!!❤
Love watching you thrift.
Is amazing your word of the day 😂
YES, get it!
That was so fun. Thanks for taking us along.
I felt like I was shopping with my best friend 🧡. That was a fun video.
Oh happy day, a thrifting video!
Get the chair, its amazing Megan.
Its fun shopping and you found great deals
Yes get it!
The Knorpp family with THE BEST HAIR 😍
The silmats a group of 3 at Costco cost me $16.99. You got a deal there! I like the European cookie tin. It would make a great remote control hider.
Love the chair!!!
I hope you get that chair and stool!!!! for that Price WOW
Finally 😊😊 missing these videos yeyyy 😁
Such a cute CHAIR!!
I love the chair.
Mike is no fun to take thrifting!🤣🤣🤣 He always says you don’t need it. 😰😰😰 Even if it’s 99% trash it’s the fun of finding that 1% treasure that’s sooo fun!!
Love the chair
Yayyy a thrifting vlog.
That was fun! I wonder if its better to go before xmas when people declutter for their new xmas wares or after when people take in their unwanted gifts that arent worth putting on market place etc which is sad but im sure people do it.
Last year at one of our thrift shops a lady brought a jigsaw puzzle in a box. When she opened it among the pieces were valuable jewellery. The police were looking for the owners of it.
I love the through videos!
Shopping was fun!
The price of a lunch out cost more than that chair and ottoman. 🤔 🛋️💕
Hi You should, get that cottage chair and matching ottoman.
Get that chair!!!!!!
Megan your hair looks great longer!
I love to go thrifting along with you too ! 👍❤
I liked that blue set💙
arrggghhhh the grey rug, I have been looking for three years, and there it is

The chair and ottoman were very cute cottage. The old wooden chair with spiral legs was amazing though.
I loved the chair with the spiral legs too!
I have to say I like what you found😊
That black cabinet is stunning! You need it! Pantry for kitchen?
Love the jacket🎉
❤ yes buy that cottage chair and foot stool ❤
Had a good time 😊
That chair and ottoman are a great deal and if you have those colors it would be awesome. If it is well made even, redoing it could be fun as well. The wooden cabinet was a show stopper.
I have had that tupperware rolling mat for 45 yrs.......good deal
