I love all your videos!! Elijah should make a video talking about his decision to come back to the states and his plans. I’ve enjoyed following his journey too. ☺️☺️
Pie month.... pie month.... pie month... pie month... pie month - yes please!! We appreciate how much work it is Megan and family but it's an utter joy for us. Bless you all. Hello from London : - )
Texas would claim that.. Years ago we lived there..the Tin Bucket Cafe had a baked potato bar and that was about the size of theirs.. although I would say that is the largest.. and the bar had the most items you could think of to put on a baked potato.. Plus they served iced tea in the large Mason jars.
That onion cheese pie looks delicious! Baking is a delicious and fabulous way to revamp and regroup before tackling more painting or Reno’s. It’s like a yummy refresh. Bet the kids look it too. Baking is such a happy activity and result. Cheers! Loved all the gorgeous curls Megan! I always love your hair, but you did did particularly awesome and glowing with happy! And Mike too You two are real treasures. I love seeing what you share.

I always love watching your Costco runs. I’m going to have to try the Costco cheese. Some of the things you bought are not here in California 🙁 I’m sure we have things that you can’t get there. I enjoy the addition of you cooking after shopping! And yes, I love your curly longer hair! ❤
Megan, pie month was awesome!!! I think Mike wants another pie month 😊 soon. Have you ever made a russet potato into a taco for a meal? Stuff the potato after baking with everything you stuff a taco with, we enjoy it every now and then. Everyone gets a potato, and I put all the fixings on the table. Now our russets are not as large as the one you pulled out of the bag. That was a massive potato!!! We grow our potatoes in my garden, and absolutely enjoy the harvest. I hear you on growing boys they eat you out of house and home.
I need to see how you organize your fridge and pantry we are a family of almost 6 and I feel like I can't come up with a good system! Food storage advice / organization would be amazing too!
I was hoping to see another video from you guys. Totally makes my day. If you ever need a change for your living room and couches, a blanket or an afghan draped over the back always works. We have old furniture and love changing it out with pillows and blankets.😊
Awhile ago you guys were at Costco and talked about the take and bake bread so I went to my Costco two different locations and no one had it-and now my Costco has it-we shop Costco every wknd-the quality is always so good-thank you for sharing this-I love their taco kit-last me a week of lunches ❤cause sometimes I’m lazy like that
I have had experiences with not being able to find products at certain Costco's. I visited with a manager. He told me that someone in Utah decides what to order for each Costco and that no two get all of the same things. Isn't that a little crazy? There are also regional items that are only found in certain states. When you are in Costco, you can have someone look online for you to see which store has what when you are searching for a particular product. We often buy frozen cherries for smoothies. They can be a challenge to find. You can do a lot of driving between the stores to find something, or you can have someone help you.

Yes there hasn’t been Costco hauls or cooking/ thrifting… a mix of subjects along with the house stuff is good! The pie a day last year was awesome 👏 Did I miss something or is Elijah home for good??
Warm your honey, then whip in your mixer. It stays softer to spread and scoop and doesn't crystallize. If it gets too warm again to the stage where it does crystallize again, just warm and whip again.
Great haul..Megan,your hair looks so cute longer& so curly..love it.. that onion/ cheese pie is looking yummy! Food isn't cheap anymore,as you well know. Eating out is a luxury now for us..sad😢 . Glad you& Mike are almost done with kitchen.Mike is a great woodworker/ craftsman . Take care!👍💙💞🎃🌻🌾🙏

Baked potatoe soup. I make it with gold potatoes. Great on a chilly day. Sprinkle crumbled bacon and cheese on top for serving. That bread you made would be so good with it.
We've started grinding our own pork and making our own sausage lately. I have settled on a wonderful combo for breakfast sausage and for spicy hot Italian sausage. After all I married an Italian So I learned to cook that way
At my Costco they sell Marathon toilet paper it cost a bit more but you get 48 rolls, and it's septic safe. About the honey crystallized, if you but the jar in hot water it will melt the honey back to liquid.
I’ll have to see if our local Canadian Costco has Marathon TP. A few RVers tested different TPS & Kirkland brand was the best for RVs, cost wise & dissolving wise.
I've never seen a potato even half that size in my life. I've managed to get down to shopping once a month and it is amazing how much I've saved. November is going to be my freezer, fridge and pantry challenge so that I can go into summer with a bit of extra money for all the amazing summer fruits. I think it's okay to have a few quick meals that can be put togther fast for emergencies. I will often cook more and use it as my own freezer meals but some chicken bites etc in the freezer is perfectly okay as well so don't be too hard on yourself. 😊
Would love to see how you do your hair, Meagan. I know you have a lot of natural curls, but would love to see the process as I have a daughter who has a lot of curl in her hair as well, and what products you use.
Hello, I have a suggestion for when you build your garage. If possible you could build a bedroom or two upstairs of the garage or even like a studio apt. By doing this you can add at least one more bedroom to your space and then you could take the front bedroom where Pearl and Eve are now and turn it into a family room/library/hang out room with an entrance to it off of the living room. Just something I have been thinking about and wanted to throw out there. I don't know if your garage will be added to the house but even itf it isnt you could still add the bedroom /studio for when the older kids come back from their Missions and other endeavors. :)
I needed this also thanks for the reminder I need to order our 13 year old a winter coat from Coastal cause they are on sale 😂 no one warned me since I grew up with all sisters how quickly teenage boys grow our two adult daughters were not like that .I’m definitely going to get that parmesan cheese . Also the burgers and baquettes .
Personally it is like just about every country is trying to make up for what they lost in the pandemic by charging more or making thru product smaller greed. ❤
Go to the Staes regularly. Our food has been cheaper here for a few years. I have just come back from Connecticut and food is more than double our Uk prices. They were outrageously priced , even for the basics.
You mentioned podcast! I truly miss listening to your podcasts. We’re about to start building our house so I get the business, just know I love your podcast.
❤ Watching this as I'm driving home from Costco 😂🎉 Megan - I LOVE your hair. I have curly hair and would love to wear it like yours. Would you please do a video on your cut, hair products, and how you style it?❤ Thanks!
I have 12 children. When they all lived at home, we had to triple the recipes. Cooking was tedious. After 4 launched, we were down to doubling. Still tedious. Now we only have two living at home and I am giddy with the simplicity. I honestly don’t know how I did it! You need to do a video on your hair and how you bring out the curl!!! It’s lovely!
We welcome the procrastination if it means a video from you. We are a small family of three so Costco tends not to work for us but I love the cooking suggestions.
I love all your videos no matter what you do. I would love to see one of your gost walks as a holloween special just because I don't live in USA and I don't think I would ever get to see one in real life.😊
I have enjoyed all the renovation videos. Didn't realize that I missed the Costco & cooking videos, although I was hoping for another month of Sept Pies. Is Elijah back home for good?
Years ago, when Honey Crisp apples were still huge, I had 1 lone apple in my grocery evening stop in NYC. The cashier said to me, “ma’m, this one apple is $5, do you still want it?”
Raw sunflower seeds make a great substitute for pine nuts in pesto. Much cheaper than pine nuts, neutral flavor, and much closer to the texture you're looking for than walnuts.
Good afternoon Megan and Mike. Thank you for sharing your shopping, you shared some good ideas. Have you shared the cheese, onion pie recipe previously? If not would you do so please? Thank you from PA.
Yum! We do not have a Costo in my area unless you want to drive about an hour away. I live in the Lakeland Fl area. We do have a Sam's though. Lucky you.
Don't know about the Kirkland paper towels, but the Bounty are supper-absorbent, so we use less when we wipe out greasy dishes and pots and pans before washing (septic systems can't take grease), and the great thing about them is that they are in half-sheets, so we rarely have to use a whole paper towel. No guilt here!
From another large family, living in tight quarters - I would love to see where/how you stash all that food…like the multiple gallons of milk & surplus of flour! We go to the store multiple times a week, because I don’t know where to put our overstock, but of course we end up spending more with frequent trips to the store. Love your channel & have been watching since nearly the beginning ❤
