I'm surprised you got some flack for a craft room! I think that's such an amazing outlet to provide your kids and yourself with a space to be creative and not worry about the mess!
Hang in there Megan. You are going to learn how to build and hang shelves in no time. You guys are so smart and have learned more skills than most of us will ever learn.
Beautiful! I do think that larger folding table is necessary for more crafting space. Especially for Jude and Eve. You are so creative. I love your hair like this.
Megan , you are so right about a space being of disarray and not wanting to use it for what it’s ment for. My craft room is a mess and I don’t want to use it. I get it. I need to organize it. Thx for your inspiration.
The only thing missing is task lighting. Maybe the folding table could be stored in the closet for easy access for projects that need to be spread out? What a nice space to create in! Great job, Megan!
You are inspiring me to address my home office. I currently work 100% at home and my desk area is always a disaster. I want it to be prettier. Thanks for the inspiration.
I hopped over to Amazon and purchased the same easel! I love your mom's curtains in the room (she has such positive energy). I hang birdies from my light fixture (it looks like tree branches,) and the birds whimsically fly overhead.
Megan, why not utilize the 2 boys to help you with projects? It would be a learning experience for them as well. Where did the printer go and how about the closet?
I am so jealous! An arts and crafts room sounds absolutely amazing! I am a really really crafty gal and it would be so nice to have a separate space in my house to just lock in and have all of my projects in one designated space… Plus… What a fantastic way for you and your kids to bond!
Light. Lovely, a pinch of Carl Larsson, a vision of William Morris, the perfect french touch by Edouard BOUBAT a blank canvas with the Knorpp's colorful ideas.
Blank wall = design wall!! Place for pearl to hang her things, section for art work on corkboard, also…aesthetically the room is great, but utilitarian is better for storing your supplies. (See through boxes will make things easier for whomever is looking for something. Less mess while you’re digging, easy to find where things need to be replaced to. ❤ LONG time crafter, quilter, painter, seamstress. PS: I’m saving for an ikea electric table. Any of the kids can adjust to their height while they work, Pearl can use it for cutting out while not having to reach or stretch….but then lower it for other things. Just some serious considerations!
I have always loved those curtains-they are so pretty-the craft room looks great!!looks nice and functional-I saw those birds at IKEA too-now I wish I would of bought them -guess I’m going to IKEA
Crafty people need a craft room! Hello. What's the problem? I have a room dedicated to sewing/quilting and another one dedicated to glass/painting/mixed media. That is how I live. Too many people say they need a bigger house because they dedicate rooms to 1-2x a year uses or worse they forgo their passions until they have the right or more space. Why? When all I had was a dining table, that is what I used until it needed to be cleaned for rare dinner parties. Live fully in all your space and enjoy it. Now, time to go clean and organize my sewing room. Thanks for the reminder Knorpps.😂
Megan, you are more capable than you are giving yourself credit for. Mike is trying to do something that will be of great benefit to your family. You'll be able to travel even more. I have family members who gave up on dreams because it just became too hard to avoid the constant distractions. If you really want to support him in this process to become a pilot, his study time needs to take priority. I'm not trying to be negative, but I'm pretty sure you're capable of figuring out how to get a 10 ft board in your house.
I don't think Jude had a problem not having a room of his own - looking at his face I think it was crossing his mind that maybe he would be sharing with his sister/s like in the RV but when you said he was sharing with his big brothers all was well - he was excited about that - Children in big families usually share a room and don't normally have a room of their own until they leave home
Just started watching the video but, could you put the cabinet with the drawers in the closet? then when things are not organized in the drawer you could just shut the closet door when guest are using the room.
Ok at the beginging when Megan is naming a list of "we need " and she says " a trash can " then looked down an seen the trash can . who else was waiting for her to magically pull up a broom .. hahaha,,, Oh Megan !! dang .. i was so happy and proud of you but maybe next time you will get further without Mike's help.. baby steps baby steps .. ty for sharing the room looks awesome as always Love you Guys .. good luck Mike fly carefully have fun
i love the craft room. Kids want to be where the action is if you moved it to the basement no one would use it being it’s right there it’ll get sued. love how crafty everyone is. A small cafe table may be a good addition for the boys to paint their figurines.
What a great space to create!! I Love it!! When does Pearl go on her missions trip and when does Andrew return? Everyone is growing and leaving the nest.
For our sewing/craft room we went to Home Depot and bought a work table on rollers. Husky is the brand name. It has a crank to raise and lower it and 2 drawers. It is fabulous! We bought 2 more! They are white with butcher block tops and work so well. They also come in different lengths . Check them out on line . We really love ours!
Idea……..the top drawers on your old island can be opened to use as a pull out table top. So your knees fit comfortably sitting there. In the top drawers I’d just put all the same height storage bins. You’ll be able to use the drawer still then. Maybe put a craft mat on top of the bins as a smooth surface. Room looks really nice!!!
Just curious, why didn’t you just move a craft room down to the basement? You’re not in there much And then you could put Murphy beds up in the craft room
You have always made a house a home and you are not skipping a beat with this one happy day❤

Wow! I am officially inspired. I have a craft space that I need to move into now that garden season is over. You’re giving me the push I need!
Lovely transformation! The curtains look fantastic…such a welcoming vibe! ❤
I was thinking to keep the board raw. I love how the room turned out. Who wouldn’t want to go in there and create ❤
So cozy..still love the drapes❤
OH HOW FUN Megan…..a few ground rules are wonderfully shared as a privilege ….the good old rollaway always a hit!
Creative people are creative messy artisans.😂. Perfect room for all you artist.❤
Love the craft room and especially the drapes your mom made! 👍👍
I hopped over to Amazon and purchased the same easel! I love your mom's curtains in the room (she has such positive energy). I hang birdies from my light fixture (it looks like tree branches,) and the birds whimsically fly overhead.
Turned out so nice! I’m really glad you get to use the curtains they are beautiful ❤
Love how the craft room turned out, the drapes your Mom made look amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
Megan, why not utilize the 2 boys to help you with projects? It would be a learning experience for them as well. Where did the printer go and how about the closet?
The room now looks inspirational. I'm sure your kids will make many crafts in there. Thanks for sharing, love yah Nancy

You never know there may be a craft room in your future
Pot roast taco's sounds amazing...the finishing touches you put on a room is my favorite part.
I love it! It ties into the rest of your home.
The craft room looks great . Another terrific finish. ❤❤
You are the energizer bunny..
The room looks great!

Your craft room turned out beautifully!
Thank you for another inspiration room!!!
Looks wonderful, great job!!
That’s a huge basement. It could make a great Makers Space.
Megan, try googling your questions. Also, lots of help on RUclips on things like this. Both have been very helpful to me.
Marvelously creative !!
When I do projects, I definitely need a gooseneck lamp, and maybe a magnifier. I'm surprised you don't have one.
It all looks really lovely. Well done💖
I have always loved those curtains-they are so pretty-the craft room looks great!!looks nice and functional-I saw those birds at IKEA too-now I wish I would of bought them -guess I’m going to IKEA
I would love a pot roast taco in the instant pot recipe!

Put your roll-a-way beds in closet.
Quite simple, you make a mess, you clean it up. You're untidyness should not be the next persons problems.
I love the craft room. Good ideas with sharing space. God bless you and yours. Love, jenwhite
The room looks really good👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️

It's your house you can do what you want people leave them alone I love your family!
I think the littles would appreciate having the folding table on the wall to the right of the doorway!
Beautiful room
Looks great! I would love to work in it!
Yay!!!!🎉glad to see you again
❤Megan, you did such a beautiful job! You really are an inspiration. And, I love that you love change. I will take that perspective with me!
Not opposed at all to a craft/project room, however why not have it in the basement where you have SO much more space?🍁
Great job on the project room so nice🎉🎉
Gorgeous!
I love the room and I love the desk..you did awesome..
Looks great and very inviting. I'm envious!
My husband couldn't study at home either. Lol. We have 5 kids, he was in pharmacy school. Multi use spaces are hard. Great job

you could call it your creative studio. love it looks cosy!
Thanks for sharing!
Murphy beds with cabinets?
Get a daybed with trundle instead of two twins.
Mike is the man . Yes clutter is not good for creativity.
You can put qcork wall behind the bedroom door if it's just to hang up additional art there is real estate there
❤❤❤❤
YES, if you can keep the projects from spilling over into other ares of the house, everyone will be happier!🥰BUNK BEDS- for guests (kids).
i love the craft room. Kids want to be where the action is if you moved it to the basement no one would use it being it’s right there it’ll get sued. love how crafty everyone is. A small cafe table may be a good addition for the boys to paint their figurines.
Ohhhh, please paint the Birds....you are so talented!!!
Love the fact that you have a craft room but why didnt you set it up in the unfinished basement? More room down there.
I think it’s hot down there in the summer
Mike is so cute, 9.24 - he looks like the four older boys put together, instead of they look like him. HA!
Looks awesome 🎉🎉🎉

I have that Carl Larson book. :)
😊😊😊😊
I thought you would have at least 4 brackets under that board because of the weight factor!! Oh good…Mike put more brackets up!!
Please show us later how it looks as a guestroom when the kids come home.
Ask for help in the store!! Men don’t do that…we do!! They would have loaded it into the vehicle also!
🙋♀️❤️
Pearl and I are probably the same height, I wouldn’t be able to reach that shelf, can she if she needs to?
@@GaserBeam-hi4ez why not tuck a step ladder into the closet? I have them in multiple locations in my home so I can reach what I need to conveniently.
Put the birds on the cork board.
Why would you not set that up in the basement?
Meghan do you have an Amazon Store?
Just curious, why didn’t you just move a craft room down to the basement? You’re not in there much
And then you could put Murphy beds up in the craft room
Lacking natural Light, space, inspiration 😉
I still think the basement is a better space for this but your house your rules.
Why not put it in the basement?
Why didn’t u make craft room in basement?
