I've been buying Weathertech mats for all my new cars since 2000 and I am 100% satisfied. Perfect fitting. Made in America. Even a guy with very limited mechanic abilities is easy to install and clean. The best investment to protect your vehicle. In Special if you have children and they sometimes may spill something.
I like my weather tec mats in my GMC. I dont even pull them out to clean them. I use armor all wipes. But i dont really let my truck get dirty inside she is babied.
Well idk if you guys are aware that weathertech has warranty on them. After a few years mine were worn out. I got in contact with them and had my front liners replaced. They look great!! 👍
mine lasted 8 yrs in 2 diffrent 4runners before i wore a hole throught it completely from my work shoes.even wore a hole in the carpet in the car to the metal underneath.
I have them on my BMW, although i work in an office I do like how the mats really keep the floor from absorbing water and dirt over a period of time creating that musty smell.
Thanks for the honest review. Wear and tear is normal for floor mats. Being that you enter and exit your vehicle more frequent than others and you do commercial jobs, you accelerated the rate of wear and tear. Still great mats, you were just hard on them. But thanks again for the review!!
I love my weather tech floor mats. Keeps the water, and especially salt, out of my carpet and off my floor pan better than any other floor mat I've ever used. Also fits better than anything else I've tried. Definitely don't have any of those curling issues. My one complaint is that there is a slight bow at the front corner near the gas pedal. You'll see it if you look at it, but not so much when you're driving. It definitely doesn't affect how you use the gas pedal. That bow has been there basically since the begining (got them as a Christmas gift) and they've probably got 75,000 miles on them
I purchased a 2011 Altima back in 2013. I still have the original weather tech mats carpet looks like new, and of course, cleaning it several times per month.
DIY fix pro here. Take a heat gun, heat up the curled/bad fitment areas of your mats til they're soft and hold them in place ensuring they wrap each nook and let them cools down. That'll take care of the curling issue.
My dad is big on WeatherTech. My daughter had rubber Ford mats in her car that I do like more. I bought the higher end Husky liners for my truck exact fit or whatever. The back is rubbery feeling while the front is closer to WeatherTech’s material. With a vinyl floor check you don’t get something with the spikes on the bottom. I just edited my first video for my channel I’ll upload tomorrow, but I’ll make a video comparing the WeatherTech to the Huskies next so you can see before you buy. The Ford dealer gave me WeatherTech liners for the front, but they are for a different model. So I have both new here.
When new lay in sun for a bit to soften, I also used a heat gun to uncurl the edges you speak of. Also in a commercial application you have to expect some accelerated wear vs. joe-six-pack commuting to the office everyday. good video though.
I put Weathertech mats in our F150 five years ago and Maxliner mats in our Ford Edge two years ago. I can tell you that the Maxliner mats have always fit like a glove while the Weathertech mats never fit very well and seem to have gotten worse with seasonal temperature swings. The Maxliners are made with a more pliable plastic, which I believe is a factor in their ability to fit well. Of course it may be an apples to oranges comparison since different vehicle models present all sorts of different contours that challenge the manufacturers. For the curling problem in this video, a heat gun could be used to soften the plastic and straighten it. Then perhaps you could loosen the truck's plastic floor trim and tuck the mat under it. The downside of doing this would be that water could seep under the trim piece and cause further issues.
"Weathertech mats never fit very well"? I've bought three sets, and they all fit "very well". It is possible that they sometimes don't fit very well, but the truth needs to be told.
@@therookie3445 … I’m sure it’s hit and miss as with most things. If you can’t find a review of them for your specific application I would make sure they have a good return policy. I will tell you they are a bad option for a 2009 Silverado 2500HD. They didn’t fit well around the left foot rest area and now lean away from the foot rest even more. My carpet also does not have retainers for mats so my Weathertechs came with a red disc (maybe 3”-4”) that has stiff barbs to grip into the carpet to keep the mat in place. These just tear up the carpet. With retainers and possibly fewer sharp angles Weathertechs may be worthwhile.

I am pretty sure these are floor liners not floor mats. It appears that the difference matters and the mixing terms would be confusing to consumers. It looks like WeatherTech has 3D Floor Liners, 3D Floor Mats, and regular floor mats and descending price points.
Just received a set for my 2020 F-150. All I can say is the "Perfect Fit" is BS. The driver side mat fits fairly well. Passenger side shows gaps against the door column. Rear mat fit is terrible - it will not even lie flat against the floor so the edges roll up when you shut the doors ..Not worth the price IMO

A ton of work to take them out? Are you kidding me.......
Are you dragging your feet in when you get in the vehicle?
I'm not... Idk tho...
my grand dad is a contractor and his WT mats have lasted around 7 or 8 years. its weird that yours have done that.
WeatherTechs are good, don't get me wrong. But so far the Huskies have been a little better.
@@DS-TRUCKS good to know, ive been trying to figure out which set to get.
Great video man
Thanks!
looks to me like the floor mats did a great job for a work truck.
Yes. They most definitely saved my floors!
Weather tech states that they don’t work well with vinyl floorboards
Really... Didn't know that...
where do they say that? is it on their web site? i don't see it in their FAQ.
@@ChristopherStandardTime I was reading the description and it said that
I've had ridiculously cheap mats last long than those. Around 4 years. Still looked amazing and cheap with amazing protection to my carpet. Not saying they're not high quality, cause they are. Im just saying take better care of your things you buy cause its your money spent.
Your right. Will do.
WeatherTech has contacted me and offered to replace! They are a great company!
HERE IS AN UPDATE ON HUSKY LINES 6 MONTHS LATER - ruclips.net/video/cwOVL3cbG3s/видео.html
Here are some links
WeatherTech- amzn.to/3g0zRx5
Huskyliner- amzn.to/3g0qa1K
I am pretty sure these are floor liners not floor mats.
It appears that the difference matters and the mixing terms would be confusing to consumers.
It looks like WeatherTech has 3D Floor Liners, 3D Floor Mats, and regular floor mats and descending price points.
that's why you lay it in your driveway and allow it to heat up in the sun and lay flat
Or just buy husky
Did you send the mats back to Weathertech? If so, did they honor their lifetime guarantee and send you replacement mats?
I did not send them in. I put them in my old truck work truck...
I wonder if you cant relax the curling with a heat gun and some weight on top
They have a lifetime warranty, just get a replacement set
"Limited" lifetime warranty. Doesn't cover normal wear and tear
Curling looks to be from the cubby on the door.
It does seem like that!
Nah, I ordered brand new ones and the back one piece curls on the outside out of the box.
Maybe I should go with Toyota mats
Just received a set for my 2020 F-150. All I can say is the "Perfect Fit" is BS. The driver side mat fits fairly well. Passenger side shows gaps against the door column. Rear mat fit is terrible - it will not even lie flat against the floor so the edges roll up when you shut the doors ..Not worth the price IMO
Same.
I drive a sedan, rarely, 2200 miles in three years. Mine look awful. save your money and replace them more frequent with cheap once.
That happened to my weather tech camry too
WeatherTech products damaged my truck requiring 1500 in damages. They refuse to even communicate about the issue. Buy their products at your own risk!
Heat it up a lil bit and flatten it
Gaps and seemingly cheap construction I’m not happy I just got them the box was very light and they were expensive
Will it be possible to fit a Left Hand Drive floor liners to a Right Hand Drive vehicle with the same exact model of the car??
Get the new Hp version...WAY BETTER!
The floor liners are better than the floor mats...
Heavier Use = Heavier Wear
Lighter Use = Lighter Wear
2 years and mine don’t look anywhere near what those do!
I work em hard
Feel like weather tech especially for the pice is more for a “babied” vehicle but ive never had an issue with them
WeatherTechs are not bad... This is the first time I've ever had any issues. But they still did their job!
Lifetime warranty they will replace them
