If you are going to compare the 2, at least compare the 2 from the same year. Not something from 6 years ago. I had weathertech's in my previous, and never encountered any issues. No curling, no gaps, it was a perfect fit. It was in my car for 7 years and no issues. Went through mud, rain, salt, sand, and ice. Cleaned real nice and never curled. Recently traded that car in for something bigger. Again WeatherTech was put in. And I haven't had it for that long, but no curling. I did get the FloorLiner HP. Not sure how long it will last, but hopefully, it lasts for a very long time. As far as I can tell, its a perfect fit.
So you are suggesting that I spend the money and buy both then use both for years before comparing them just so I can satisfy some dude in my RUclips feed?
@@PatriotDIY no, but to be able to provide a good comparison between the two products, both should be the latest. Just my 2 cents. Quality is different from year to year. Just like you can't really compare a f150 from the 90's to one that is made from today.
Just ordered the Husky for my daughter's 2025 Honda Pilot. Had always ordered WeatherTech but only Husky offered the Pilot back seat protector that folds down with the cargo liner. Thanks!
I owned a set of Husky liners for my 2019 Chevy Impala and absolutely loved them the whole time I had the car. I have never owned a set of Weathertech floor liners BUT many of my friends have. Once they got in my car and felt my Husky liners, they all wanted to "upgrade" to Husky even though they were actually cheaper. I now own a Kia Sorento and just purchased some new Husky liners for it. Once they arrive I'll post a review.
I went with the weatherbeater for the front and the x-act contour for the back since the back one for my truck is all one piece and it’ll be easier to remove if I were to spill something. Good review!
Thank you so much for making this video, you've helped me make my decision. I've had the same issues with the WeatherTech sidewall curling and gaps in my Kia Sportage, that happened immediately. Bought another set of WeatherTechs for the front, several years later--just to see if I had a lemon, but the 2nd was the exact same. Getting the Husky Weatherbeaters for my new vehicle. Appreciate your thorough review!
I purchased weather tech for my 08 f-250 and I agree that they curl on the sides more on the backside than the front. It’s very irritating when you enter and exit the vehicle. Also I have light tan carpet and noticed that the weather tech floor liners are staining my carpet. Would have thrown away if i had not paid so much for them. I ‘am going with Husky floors liners for my next purchase .
So I’ve had the Husky Weatherbeaters in my truck for the last 3 years, while I bought the Xact contours for my wife’s Highlander. I gotta say maybe it’s just me, but I prefer the Weatherbeaters. Seems more durable to me. Fits in perfectly. I love the look of the weathertechs, but we use those on our work trucks. Just never fits in right (I’m OCD about that type of junk) I’m interested with the new Weathertech HP’s. Heard those are direct competitors to the Xact contours. PS sick watch !
I bought the weather tech hp liner for the front and the second row of a dodge durango 2022 and it looks like a perfect fit. No gaps, no curling. However, I have had it for less than a week. Time will tell as to what will happen next.
Hi, I have the WeatherTech HP the difference between the two is the regular weather tech is a very hard plastic. There’s no give it the HP version is more pliable. I had mine for three or four months I think the HP’s are great in my opinion if you care about your vehicle, go with the HP WeatherTech.
LASFIT are HANDS DOWN the best mats on the market. I have them in my RAM and they are awesome way more pliable than those mats there and for way less money. I was sad to find out they dont make them for the my wife's new Telluride. So im still on the hunt
Ive had weathertechs in my silverado for 7 years. They work great but yes they curl. vinyl gets wet underneath from condensation. Canadian snow..wondering if the soft spikes would give enough air flow to dry underneath?
Just a little FYI, If you have a 2018 Honda HR-V you can only get the stiff Weatherbeater style. The X-ACT isn't available for this car. Bad thing is they are stiff and since they came rolled up in the box, they don't lay down in the floor at all. I guess they have to be warmed up first and will probably be OK. Unfortunately one of the front mats had no logo. That little sticker was gone, not even in the box, but the adhesive was left behind. That's really disappointing considering I paid $320 for these. Just my 2 cents, but they do look like they are tough and will last a long time.
I bought the weatherbeaters for my 2022 F350 off your recommendation because I thought they had no carpet spikes…. They most definitely did come with carpet spikes…. Not sure whether to bother dremeling them off or not
FYI- You created the gap in the back mat when you tucked under your storage bin by not allowing the mat to sit naturally but causing it to be impinge and pushed down and out.
I have a 2018 Nissan Sentra S. Weathertech gives options on certain aspects of the vehicles. My Sentra has 2 hooks on the driver side and 1 hook on the passenger side. Weathertech asks how many hooks my passenger side has. Husky does not and I cant be certain if their floor liners will fit exact with hooks. I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy Weathertech.
I’ve had weathertechs in my car for 6 years or so and my main complaint with them is that if they get scratched they look permanently dirty. The only way to make them look new again is to use tire shine which makes them incredibly slippery.
Very nice review! Btw it's cool that you use the WeatherTech from 6 years ago so you can see how it held up over time obviously you have to use your 🧠 to think how was it when it was 🆕 but I prefer husky because of the spikes on the bottom. I use to use WeatherTech until I tried husky but for the price you can't go wrong I use the weatherbeater mats myself. My Tacoma has the all-weather floor mats but they suck compared to the husky so I have to upgrade 🔜 haha
Sadly neither have my truck!! 😢 it’s brand new and I want to protect the floors . Why a2023 Chevy Colorado!! Not like they didn’t know they were coming out, and bigger then the 2022
I bought a Weathertech cargo liner for our SUV recently, and it is crap, so thin it won't even flatten out after days. I'm returning it. I had a Weathertech cargo liner I bought in 2015 and it was thick and heavy and stayed in place great. That is not what they are selling now. I will never buy another Weathertech product.
The “new” front Weathertech HP are WAY better than the old curling crap… old were dangerous for front in my opinion…slide around and could interfere with pedals. HP are more a heavy rubber.
I see you really cleaned your truck thoroughly when you showed the Huskys. Making it look good for your sponsor???? Just sayin'..... I had the Husky X-act mats in my last truck. They curled up at the door sills and I tried everything to get them to lay back down. Soaked them in hot water, bent them the opposite way, but a month later, right back to curling. I have WeatherTechs now, but my next truck I plan to try the WeatherTech HP.
I see you really want to talk junk when you have no idea what you are talking about.... the weathertechs were in my 10 uear old truck, the husky are in my brand new truck that why its so much cleaner, you can tell because the old truck had carpet floors and new has vinyl, i also mentioned that in the video....so no I don't have a sponsor, I purchased these myself. Before you hurl accusations....maybe pay closer attention!!
I like the malleableness of the Husky. Is malleableness a word? It should be. It's a good word. But I'm going with Husky. I have a 2021 Ram Warlock with carpeting. Need it to last 15 yrs at least.
i find it hilarious that people spend a fortune getting a poshed out new truck, thenspend a fortune putting black vinyl floor mats and whatnot in there and cover it all up....they should just sell the trucks with vinyl black interiors and cut the crap🤣🤣
Weathertech seems to curl up on the edges... unfortunately... so going with the better and cheaper Husky liners. Weathertech also does a ton of advertising and I don't want to pay for that.
Ordered Husky floor mats for my 2024 outback in October getting ready for snow season. After five months of excuses from Husky I canceled the order. Husky has zero customer support. Do yourself a favor go with another brand! Husky sucks..period
Unfortunately a weathertech mat from 6 years ago still beats a new weathertech mat weathertech has sadly cheaped out on production quality and charges the most still

Great video!! It give me the right insight to make my decision. Price point ultimately was my deciding factor. Weatherbeaters for the win!!
Great review, thanks!
Very thorough review, thanks.
The other big item to compare is the price between the two Husky products.
