Bought a 24 Forester Touring earlier today and going to order these because of the more luxury look compared to the rubber ones. Really like the coverage.
I've got TuxMats in my Outback Onyx XT and they're great. I've always used the OEM rubber mats for all of my Subarus but the newest Subi mats have some coverage gaps (as shown in the vid) that make them subpar. TuxMats don't fit perfectly, especially in the back. However they provide much better coverage and a more luxurious look than the Subaru rubber mats. Great product, easy recommendation from me.

I just bought a 2024 outback wilderness (autumn green 😊) and have been looking for the perfect floor protectors. Ive always used weather tech but felt they lack coverage. These tuxmat’s look amazing! I will definitely be buying them for my new subi 🙏🏻

I had these on my tacoma and loved them, they just are hard to get clean due to the texture.

My TuxMats arrive this Thursday. I'm thinking that as thick as these things are it should make the cabin a bit quieter as well. Not that it's noisy now but just more sound deadening. 2023 Outback Touring XT.

Nice! And, I think the OEM trunk mat is very good tbh so I didn't get the trunk mats. I also have the back seat rubber OEM liners so when I flatten the seats it's protected as well.
I got the WeatherTech. Tough call. They can wear out where WeatherTech do not wear out. Plus too many clips and hard to clean in the winter.

I want these floor mats but love the Wilderness logo on the stock ones. I’m torn!
Store the originals to keep them nice. The Tuxmats come with a nice box and big plastic bags. The box can also be converted into a toy car for kids.
How do you clean these? I live in snow/mud country and must have something that can handle these conditions. BTW, thanks for a very clear and helpful video!
I haven’t gotten them dirty enough to the point where they need a deep scrub so all I’ve been doing is vacuum and a wipe down 😂. But since they’re waterproof, you can take them out of the car and hose them down with no issues!
I have tuxmat on my Crosstrek for 4 years now and I live in Toronto. I just spray it with soapy water and wipe with a cloth and dry it with paper towel. Then after winter I wash it off so I only wash it off once a year. I have been doing this method and tuxmat held off quite well. I’ll be picking up my OBW next week and will be getting Tuxmat again. Fortunately for me, I live close by their main office that you can go there buy it and they will install it for you for free.
Just got a used 2020 outback XT and it came with the weather Tech mats, they have good cover, but i hate that they feel slippery under my shoes.I test drove the non turbo and it had the stock all weather mats. I love how the stock ones privide grip. Would you say that the tux feel grippy or slippery? Thanks for the video!
Since they’re soft/have a slight cushion, they are grippy. Even more so as they age. I know what you mean about the slippery plastic feel though!

Are they made kind of fabric or more a plastic? I'm wondering if it will be easy to clean the winter salt at spring
It’s a three layer mat with the top being vinyl, foam in the middle, followed by an anti skid material on the bottom. So imagine a slightly cushioned vinyl mat. Super easy to clean, should have no issues with salt.
Would you still recommend these mats after having and using them for a while? Are they holding up well ? Considering these for my 2024 Crosstrek.
Yes, they’re awesome. It doesn’t take a whole lot to clean them and they look/feel like new every time.

I recently just cleaned them with a moist rag and they look brand new. I’m really impressed with them. I bought a set for my s2000 too.
Just bought the mats today. I noticed your Outback Wilderness has a power passenger seat! My new 2023 Outback wilderness doesn’t the passenger seat moves manually back and forth and reclines NO power. Would you know why?

Wow, that is very strange! My guess is it’s due to cost savings. I’ve heard that the pedals on the 23 models aren’t aluminum but I didn’t know the passenger seats weren’t electronic.
@@ronfromportland That’s right the pedals are not aluminum. I am in Canada if that makes a difference. 🤔
@@steve9502 I know the Canadian models got the heated steering wheel. US models don’t. Hopefully this is a good enough offset haha

These look great. My only concern is when the guy at the car wash pulls it out to clean it and pulls all those clips off :-(
That’s a valid concern but the mats should be able to be cleaned without removing them. A good vacuum and wiping should do the trick!
@@ronfromportland Any all weather mats I have had in the past need to be removed and scrubbed with soap and a drill brush to get completely clean. If you're only wiping them down, they might look clean when wet but once they dry the dirty hazy look will show back up. To Reg's concern, the easy solution would be to either clean them yourself, or remove the clips before handing the keys over to the detailer.

Yup, it fits the Wilderness. Pretty much the same between the different Outback trims. I put the link in the description, that’s the one I ordered 😃.
Are these mats hell to take out to clean?
Not at all. I’d be very careful around the clips though as they tend to pop off.

Pretty much all OEM floor mats are pathetic and Subaru's are some of the worst. They never cover the area behind the pedals or the dead pedal. I suspect this is for liability reasons, due to the remote possibility of interference with pedal operation....the result of corporate bean counters no doubt. In any case, this tuxmats looks great and they provide the best coverage I've seen from any brand. I will definitely be getting a set of these for my 2023 Outback Onyx XT when it finally comes in.
