I watch this channel as sort of a light hearted distraction but I must say after a while I get bored. Granted they are cutely nerdy and goofy but after watching one of their videos I always go back to my childhood friend's buddy Anthony Bourdain. They say his shows actually got a lot of young people to appreciate foods from all over the world because he introduced them to other cultures. Perhaps because he was a chef in NYC which has some of the best food in the world on an international level or that he donated much of his money to the poor, he embodied something these guys do not. I challenge all of you if you want to truly understand about the world, culture, food, and love, watch Mr. Bourdain. RIP Tony.

So ironic that Inga and her family went out for American burgers every Sunday night as their traditional dinner. Every Sunday night my American family went out for Chinese food!
Mine too but we do switch it up with Mexican food some Sundays
It was Friday nights for our family. We usually got Italian (pizza, subs, etc.) or Chinese, or Mexican. It was fun!
Well Inga is American.
It's funny. My Hispanic family got together after church and ate at a mom and pop Italian restaurant every Sunday.

It's so funny when Josh just says "Oh, yeah, I'm a quarter Chinese", it's like we're as surprised as she just was. Like, he's mentioned it a few times, but you forget about it because he's just so European in looks and demeanor. Yet, he also holds his heritage very close to his heart and does a lot to "normalize" Eastern cultures in Western eyes.
I know someone who is half Korean but looks completely white.

This episode has the perfect pair of moments that show the two sides of Ollie. That man can go from an incredibly deep introspective monologue about the stresses and challenges about being a self-run content creator. And then not 5 minutes later make the dumbest and funniest dad-tier joke about Five Guys. This is why i love that man, you can never get a read on him so he's always interesting to listen to.
I fell like Josh and Ollie really wanted to talk with Inga and it was such a pleasure so they even forgot somewhere about eating food 😅

Seeing Inga on Jolly was the best surprise of the day for me. Also I will say that the burger there looks like the best smash burger in LA. I personally like any burger, but I will acknowledge that there are people who do not prefer a smash burger and therefore would not consider that the best burger. Other than that though, fantastic video that I honesty forgot it was initially about the best burger because it turned into just a really fun time among a fun group. That's the beauty of Jolly.
I've only been to one place in my life that did lacey smashburgers like that, and they closed last year.☹

Got me shook realizing Josh was 1/4 Chinese! It now makes more sense: him studying in China, his fam being in China when his dad was working there, his fam's love for Chinese food...and I remember when Josh and Ollie met Haha and he said he grew up in Qingdao too. Truly international experience! 🥰 Also Inga is so cute appearing here! I recommend the vid where she was on Worth It and showed the boys around Taiwan, she's gives amazing recommendations~
Smart of Josh to leave some room on the rating. There are some fantastic burgers in LA. Both of the smash style (like Easy Street) and also the thicker traditional style too. You could do an entire series just on burgers in LA. BTW - love Inga!
Yeah, just off the top of my head they need to try: Burgers Never Say Die (which really kicked off the current smash burger craze in LA), For The Win, Goldburger (get the LA Special), Irv's Burgers (go to the original location in WeHo), and The Window (go to the original location in Venice Beach).
There's also a newer place in Gower Gulch called Chick & Burger that does burgers and Korean fried chicken that they should probably try (for obvious reasons).
I swear jolly and korean englishmen are all i watch these days! eagerly awaiting the next episodes!!!

Inga is 100% about the breakfast sandwich at Shake Shack. I've only see it at airports and it blew my mind. Highly recommend getting it if you have time before your fly.

I know its a food video, but the business side of it is so relatable for me. I started my own business five years ago, and you learn a lot of hard lessons about the process especially if you are starting with basically nothing, which I was. You just work and work because you're trying to build this thing up and not fail in the process. With an online business, there aren't off days. The internet never sleeps and basically neither do you. Meanwhile, you have people who are around you going, oh, it must be so nice and so easy to just be able to do what you want, and you're like, what the heck are you even talking about---you have to be on it, and schedule your hours to maximize profits, and file tons of legal paperwork, and keep up to date on everything, and constantly innovate, and maintain excellent customer service and good business practices or that's it, you're done. I love to encourage people to start a business but they need to know it's not fun and games if you want to be on top. It's hard work and finding work life balance which can be incredibly hard.

In central Illinois there is a chain of restaurants called Steak n’ Shake that started in 1934 in Normal, IL. Their steak was a thin steak cooked on a hot flat grill with crispy edges!

One of the best things about Los Angeles is that its such a huge melting pot. People from all over have made it their home so discovering new places to eat is always a treat. Another great thing is when you find a fusion of different ethnic foods. A popular fusion is Mexican and Korean foods.

IN-N-Out is consistent. Had a double patty cheeseburger at Shakeshack and it was the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger but smaller and 10x more expensive.
It needs to be 10x more expensive so they can afford to pay youtubers to tell us how much better it is than In n Out.

I laughed when Josh asked how you make bread out of sweet potato since Koreans have a way of putting sweet potatoes into some of their their pizzas and pastries. I though a sweet potato bun would not be a surprise.
