I watched so many reviews before buying the Wandrd 11L Lite bag (bought the yellow as well), and your review was the absolute best I could find and the reason I finally purchased the bag ~ thanks. I already have the 21L and was surprised to find that I could get more in the 11L Lite (honestly) than I could get in my 21L, I think the cube on the 21L takes up a good bit of room. Also,my 21L just made it under airline seat so it’s nice knowing that the Lite will easily fit. Well, thanks for the outstanding review, I’ll be traveling the world with my 11L Lite. Keep up the good work.
Hi Allen! Appreciate you taking the time to leave such a depth and thoughtful comment! I appreciate it and I am sure it will help a lot of people as you gave insight I didn’t have! I am glad the video helped you and it sounds like you are enjoy the bag as much as I do! Happy adventures and thanks for finding the channel. Hope to see you around some more! Cheers!
Does it really fit more than the 21L? I was thinking of getting either a K&F Beta 20L or a PRVKE Lite but was nervous about the 11L not being enough, especially at that price point.
@H4WKB13 hey man. I find my Prvke lite holds as much as my 21L peak design. In my my last trip i was able to fit my Sony A7iv with a 20-70 lens. 85mm. 11mm. Dji mini 3 with pro controller. My dji mics. Rode micro mic and my edc tomtoc edc tech pouch. Still had a bit if room in the roll top. Hope that helps you with your decision. Cheers!
This is a great review and one of the few that made a lot of sense. I had given up trying with my 16" MacBook Pro but I tried once more shoving it in and it worked. It's a very snug fit but it can be done! My R6mkII was really hard to take out from the side access flap area, so I rearranged the inside where it stays at a little slant near the opening. Then when I want to access it from the side I pull the opening flap with my left hand slightly to take the camera out with 24-105 L attached!! It works and the camera comes out easily! I did not want to get the 21Ltr, it is 3" longer and I did not want the bigger length. For women the Lite is perfect. So I hope this helps those with Canon R5 or R6 I and II.

great review. excellent product closeups. you are the only reviewer to show how all the attachments work with the tech bag and with the clamshell table. thank you.
Bubbletips! Thank you! I wont lie the product close ups on a bag can be challenging to show off but I’m happy you hear you like them!! I think the clamshell table and the attachments points are a big sell for this bag. Keeping it small but the ability to get a lot onto it when needed. Anyways. Really appreciate your thoughts and thanks again for watching. See you around the channel!
The company should make it like the 21l and 31l, with hidden passport pocket, key pocket, the side pocket at the opening of the camera placement and that extra pocket for ipad, I don't know why they did not find it so important to add them, I need one in yellow but with those pockets
I think a lot of people would want at least a few of the extra pockets on the Lite bag. Hopefully the v2 will surprise us! Thanks for watching. Appreciate your input!
I have the 31L and the Lite version of this backpack. I too wish the Lite version had the key pocket, passport pocket and pocket for rainfly like the larger models of this bag. I wrote so in my review of this bag. If more of us give them that feedback the greater chance they implement those into a newer version of this Lite model. I am really a fan of both my backpacks from WANDRD though! Liked your review and the shorts you made on how much gear fits in this backpack too!
@@asaperez-bercoff1873 Asa, really great to hear your thoughts since you own both of the bag styles! And good to know you like them! Definitely great bags and I think the v2 Lite will have some improvements people will be happy with. Thanks for watching the video and the shorts. Appreciate it! Cheers!
I have watched 10+ reviews regarding this bag. Wish you were my first watch as it would be the only one I need. Great work and continue to post content!
Thank you!, for that laptop mention !!! I was hesitating because every review video was showing 14" laptops and was worried my Zenbook Pro 15 Flip wouldn't fit.
So I finally decided to buy this bag today but for all the wrong reasons 😂. I was looking for a nice stylish bag for TCGs. Your typical TCG bags just scream hey look at me! I play TCGs! I wanted something more versatile. I love the camera cube because I can use them for my deck boxes. Also use the quick access to get my main decks I want to play with. My biggest concern was for my playmat. Where would I put it or carry it. I’m hoping these straps that they sell will present a solution. Thanks for the awesome review! ❤
Whoa! Thats awesome. Reading this put a huge some on my face. I used to be huge into TCGs. The bag is super versatile and I totally think you will be able to find a solution to mount your mat with the strap! Thanks for leaving the comment. Made my day!
Great review! I just purchased a 21 L but when I went to go put my 16 inch MacBook Pro in it it didn’t fit. I ended up buying the 31 L and returned the 21. I’m very happy with it, but I would certainly have preferred the smaller size. I wasn’t a huge fan of the standard camera, cube and dividers from wandrd so I bought a medium peak design, camera cube and it fits great.
Thanks for the comment Marc! Yeah the newer 16 in MacBook pros are fat boys. My new 14 inch MacBook pro is also a tight fit even compared to my 2019 16inch which was thin though bigger. Yeah I think the built-in camera cube on the light is a little bit more like the peak design ones. Outside of the dividers. I’m super pumped for you that you found a set up that works. What I can say is with the accessory straps, and the material that the bag is made of it’s really built to last and super configurable. I just took mine on a six week adventure in Portugal and it survived all the rain all the fog all the dirt and dust and the bag still looks perfect. Appreciate your time for watching a video and leaving a comment. Cheers!
Ahhhh thanks and I appreciate your video for sure dude! Ironically I bought mine because I’m going to Portugal and wanted something durable so that makes me super happy . Thanks for the response and info👍🏼👍🏼
Canon R6MKll fits snug but all you do is just stretch it a bit at the camera opening.I would rather have a smaller lighter bag than a huge bag to carry!
Nice man. Good to know! The Canon bodies definitely are beefier than Sony. Glad it works. I agree! Smaller bag over big bags. Save that back! Thanks for watching and commenting your experience. Helpful for someone out there! Cheers!
Hey Kris! Thanks for the comment. The bag has definitely been great and holds more gear than one would think! I think you’ll really like the bag especially if you want a more minimal, stylish and discrete set up. Appreciate you watching. Cheers!
Congrats for the great review! You talk about accessing the camera from the side access, but I would be more interested to quickly change lenses instead, as I would be using this mostly at events when I will already have the camera in my hand. Would it be possible to rearrange the dividers so I could have acces to maybe two lenses through the side access for quick swapping? I know there are better choices for this, like the PD Everyday, but this seem to fit my needs better in all the other ways. Appreciate it!
Hey Claudiu! Absolutely you can use the side access for lenses. I actually do it all the time when I am traveling. I also own the PD everyday, and have also worked many many events. So I can see why this could fit you better for events. You can use the clam shell to load in before and after the event. And side access for lenses during. It makes sense to me. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching. Hope to see you around the channel more. Cheers!
Thanks for this review! I've been waiting for more in-depth reviews on the lite. It looks like the perfect size'd bag for my gear (I have Fujifilm X-T3 + 35mm f/2, 50mm f/2, 16mm f/1.4 and the 75-300mm) so it should probably fit in that? I'm in agreement that they definitely should have added all the little pockets that the 21L version has too. Do you know if the straps support the Peak Design Capture clip?
Hey Bittiapina! You have a great setup and it will definitely fit! Even though it didn’t have all the little pockets. I didn’t find that I missed it at all. Yes the PD capture fits. There is one spot on each strap that would work perfectly. I have the clip as well! Thanks for watching and giving your feedback. Appreciate it!
Thanks for the video. Does the lite have an area to hook up waist belts if I’m really weak and need hip support? Also, do you think the top roll area can fit a camera like a gh6 with a mic on top? I like to sometimes drop my camera on top and let it sit with the mic on instead of having to unmoving the mount to store it in the side pocket. Thanks.
Hey Kyle! The bag does have an area for hip belts :(. BUT because the bag is smaller and sits higher even fully packed out, it felt good with just the chest strap. Yes you totally can fit a camera with a mic on. Sometimes I drop my a7iv with the rode micro attached in the roll top area no problem. Hopefully you’ll be okay also without the hip belts. Thanks for leaving your comments. Appreciate you watching
@@MichaelNgvyen Thank you Michael for the response. Maybe one day I'll see you around Berlin. I just picked up a used 31L today. It's too big to a day pack, but too small to fit all my gear...
Thanks for the review! I have 21l with all the accessories and now I'm thinking about a bag that will fit in hand luggage. Still can't decide should I buy a lite version in addition to 21l.
Hey man. Does your 21L not work as your carry on? But to answer your question. The lite is great especially if you have the other accessories. It fits in the plane overhead and under the seats So I can still also bring a carry on. It fits overhead in the European trains small area also. It still fits almost as much as the 21l since you don’t lots extra space because the camera cube is built in. Hopefully that answer helps you! Thanks for watching and leaving the comment!
@@MichaelNgvyen I'm going to use wizzair, they have 40x30x20, and prvk 21l is slightly more than that. It's always a risk to pay extra, haha. My concern is that the is not much difference between 21l and lite in terms of size to pay 300$ Thanks a lot for your reply!
My only concern about this bag is this: Where the shoulder straps are anchored at the top: they’re on the clamshell lid, which means the stress of the weight of the bag is on the clamshell zippers?
Hey Alexii. Well yes sort of. The straps are connected to a layer between the zipper and strap and so the straps don’t have too much stress on the zipper itself. I can see your concern though. I have yet to have any signs of concern for myself. I actually prefer it done this way so I don’t have to seal with the straps in the way when loading in or out. I have a bag that does it the other way. Also good a tiny bit if extra hassle with the straps. Hope that helps you. But yeah Thanks for watching man!
Hey, very helpful vid! I'm thinking of going for one of those bags, but not sure if my 2021 16inch macbookpro would fit. Any idea about that please? Or should I go for another size of bag you think? :)
No. It’s too thick so the clamshell doesn’t close up nice when filled with gear. My friend has the next size up with a 2021 16 MB pro snd it works much better.
grazie bellissima recensione.Io avrei preferito che la tasca per la bottiglia potesse aprirsi come l'altra perchè cosi sarebbe stato piu' facile cambiare l'obbiettivo. Grazie ancora per la bellissima recensione
Great video! Question: could you use this as an EDC bag? Lightweight bag that can hold keys/phone/wallet, light jacket or 2, occasional camera, and other random things? My intention is finding a bag that can help store things for myself as well as for my family (wife & child). Thanks!
Hey JSE. First, thanks for watching! To answer your question, sort of...It can definitely handle phone, keys, wallet, sunnies as there are a lot of small storage pockets. The roll top can hold a lot. I usually can fit a light Jacket or some snacks. small pouch etc. the built in Cube could be an issue as it is non removable.. but if you have just one camera, you could organize the dividers to fit other things. I have used it for a small t shirt and some shorts when it wasn't loaded out with camera gear. The bag is very light, compact and can take a beating.. Hope that helps. appreciate your comment and your time! Cheers!
@@MichaelNgvyen thanks! Do you find that the roll top is cumbersome to get in and get out of? Knowing my life stage, where I want to be able to throw my pack around, take stuff out, close it up and keep going, with this not be appropriate, or are there other, more efficient options?
@jseboudoir no the roll top is fast for me. I’ve been traveling with it for 5 weeks and it’s been fast to access and comfortable. When I had less camera gear I could get other things in the cube part. In the roll top I kept a light jacket, hat and a small pouch. If you’re looking for a different option. The new Shimoda urban explorer looks like an interesting option.
For me yes! I have flown many times with is as my personal item, loaded with all my camera gear. Liquids in the roller top and a luggage roller carry on. Fits perfectly under the seat with even a bit of leg room! Hope that helps. Thanks for watching. Appreciate your time.
Hey thank you! I hope it gave you all the info you might need for you own gear and workflow! Appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave me a comment. Cheers!
@@MichaelNgvyen I bit and it just arrived today, trying out loading this up and it's probably the best photography bag I've used. Thanks again for the insight, it's what convinced me to click buy!
Hi. I have the 21L. Do you know if the size of the water bottle pocket on the Lite is the same as the 21L? I see that the Lite lacks the extra buckles on the sides compared to the other sizes.
Yea those gimbals would fit in the roll top section. If you have the accessories straps you can slip it on to the front. The bottle pocket is also a ok spot in certain situations.
No unfortunately the gimbal when folded flat the arms depth when its on it side is 15.5cm and the bag depth is 12.5cm. So thats why you would have to put it in the roll top section on its side the bag has enough width for that. The bag is 30cm wide. And the gimbal i think is about 27cm wide without the mini tripod attached
Hey Louis, So. if I'm not mistaken, some of the online shops in Europe are calling the Wandrd Lite V3 and the V2 refers to the 21L - 41L. So to answer your question. The v2 is the 21L, 31L 41L and the v3 is the 11L. The 3 main differences between them is, the 21L,31L 41L has key lash, a hidden passport pocket on the back padding area and the quick access door has a pocket on the under side. The lite version is missing those there things but I don't find it a problem at all. I'm still really enjoying the Lite very much. Hope that helps you.. Thanks for watching and leaving your question. Cheers
Does anybody know if there’s a way to secure a tripod when in the water bottle holder/tripod holder with straps? I don’t wanna secure a tripod to the bottom or back. It would be nice if it came with the same straps as the 21L on the side. Has anyone fashioned some type of strap on the side? Thanks!
Hi Tom! Firstly, thanks for watching the video! I do have a hack to get the tripod on the side. Not perfect but it does work when needed. You take the accessory strap. And instead of using both loops on the front of the bag. You bring the one side, all the way across and attach to the little loop in the bag. The same ones used to make it a table top. This does require you to have the one part of the main camera cube area slightly open. I use each zipper to keep it as tightly closed as possible . But it does keep the tripod tight to the bag. And secure at the top with the strap and feet inside the bottle pocket. Hope that makes sense. Appreciate your time leaving a comment!
That does make sense, thank you. I’ll give that a try as I ordered the bag a couple days ago. It hasn’t arrived yet but when it does I’ll give that a try. Thanks again!
I really love the bag so I might have to pick up the 21L. There is a comment on this video with a user who has both bags. Maybe that can help you also.
The Lite is 16" long where as the 21 is 19" long. The flap side opening to take the camera out is a little smaller on the Lite than the 21ltr, but what I did was pull the flap a bit apart on the Lite to take my R6MKII out! If you have a Sony or smaller camera it is easier.
@@mickeyjetpur7998"pull the flap a bit apart" permanently or every time you take the camera out thru the side door? I'm worried about scratching the camera body if it's a tight pass thru.
And to piggyback on this question, will a bigger/taller camera (Nikon Zf) pass thru the side access door without scratching the camera?@@MichaelNgvyen
@@mcastlejr my friend has the Nikon Zf and it does fit but its a tight fit. Doesn’t seem to hurt the camera but not perfect by any means. For reference he uses a peak design backpack zip.
Personally, I have a wish I had bought another bag (for the money). I’ve had the bag since it came out and I use it because I paid so much for it. But, I feel this is an inefficient bag in the use of space and functionality.
Hey Stkuj. Thats is a totally fair opinion. Camera bags are definitely pricey no matter the brand and there is no perfect bag. I jump from this bag to my PD bag to the new Brevite bag all the time. However from doing so I have had great experiences with the Wandrd lite. I really push my roll top to the limit so I’ve been able to use it as a camera bag and personal overnighter travel back with no issues. But I understand everyone is different. I think thats why we all end up trying or buying so many bags. Hopefully the bag’s grows on you or you find something better. Would love to know if you do! Report back if find some else you love. Thanks for adding to the conversation and watching the video. Cheers!
Great review; the only things that suck about this bag are two; it's about 1cm too narrow, 1) fitting a 16 inch M1 MacBook Pro from 2021 is really tight. That single extra centimetre would open up this compact bag to a lot more sales and 2) the rear access to get to lenses is a nuisance; you have to open up the entire bag (and get likely get the front dirty by laying it down) and expose everything inside to swap a lens. This means that the side access is really ONLY good for putting your camera in and out and nothing else; the other side of the bag where a water bottle can be held should let you open the inside of the camera and at least swap to one other lens; likely your second most used lens as a third, fourth, etc. lens at that point you'd need to open up the entire rear of the bag, and, again, expose everything. I think for this reason the Manfrotto Street Slim has the upper hand; the camera compartment is at the bottom front and lets you quick and easily pick out any lens you need without exposing anything else as the other half of the bag is for other storage; downside; no side access (Kata 3n1 series bags used to be able to do this, bought out by Manfrotto now selling as the PRO Light Multiloader). I think if you're going to be swapping lenses, I feel like MOST of the time (all the time?) you're probably going to take off the bag completely and do it on the ground or something. I have to wonder; what do you do more often? Change lenses or put the camera away/bring it out of the bag to warrant the necessity for side access... I say this because when I'm out, I usually have my camera in hand 99% of the time, so I really feel like I don't really need side access THAT much. I suppose you could just keep a lens in the top-loader section of the Wandrd bag for quicker access and have the lens in a thin pouch so it doesn't get scratched up by anything else in there (90% of my photos are taken with my 12-100mm lens, the rest with a 9mm Ultra Wide Angle). Is my assessment fair for this bag? I'm having a hard time deciding on either the Manfrotto Street Slim or the Wandrd PRVKE. Oh and lastly, the bag slouch at the top; there's a big gap between your back and the bag, it kind of sags forward. A bit lame; it should be flush against your back.
Hey Mr. Anderson! Greta y name btw. Also thanks for the super thoughtful reply! Yes most of what your address is fair. . A few things i will add. Even though you place it from side down. Mine is not dirty at all. The material just wipes clean. I have the double side access of the peak design everyday and I like the full clam shell to load in and out all of my gear and it's much more convenient when on a client shoot. Having all the gear accessible is much better than any side access. But from what I can tell you are speaking from a street / travel photo perspective. So to address that. The water pocket is needed for tripods and having a water bottle is a must for me when out shooting all day. You also came to a great conclusion that. I keep my camera in hand. Or in the top loader for quick access. And I use the side access for my extra lens that I might grab. Or my drone etc. I have no sagging with my bag as I also just pull my straps tight and it sits flush on my back. And is really comfortable. The only thing that is the real problem is that, yes a 16inch 2021 and up MacBook will not fit. I guess the only thing I would say is that for me it is a great slim bag that can carry a lot. It depends if you like the style. Hope some of what address helps.
Thank you for the detailed and SOLID reply!@@MichaelNgvyen The bag checks nearly all the boxes, as does the Manfrotto, I'm going to have to see both in hand and decide. Yes, you are correct, I am a street / travel photographer, I use an Olympus 12-100mm f/4 lens (it's actually smaller than a Canon 24-105mm) along with a couple really small primes; 9mm f/1.7 and 25mm f/1.7. I try to keep my gear and weight to an absolute minimum and still have as much versatility as possible to get all the shots I can. Unfortunately or fortunately, I'm stuck with a 16" MacBook Pro that I've been given from work, so while I have an amazing laptop, it comes at a bit of a cost of size. This is my achilles heal... my only solution to buy my own smaller laptop and not have to worry about the laptop compartment, but that's a waste of money as Ive been given one for free. Second, I do agree that the water bottle pocket is great for tripids, i do plan on using it along with my Sirui 5cx tripod (insanely small and light and cheap). In all, I'm trying to keep a camera body, 3 lenses and tripod at under 3kg. The laptop doesn't come with me on street or hikes; it stays in the hotel but I used to same bag for work, planes, etc. when I need to bring it. Do you find that keeping your camera in the top-loaded is difficult? If I were to do that, I'd have to get a neoprene sleeve because I'd keep other items in there and wouldn't want them scratching up my camera and lens. I currently have the Kata 3n1-10 bag (it's old) and I don't think I have ever used the side access to get my camera in and out of the bag; always the main bottom front compartment. Perhaps I just answered my own question LOL. Anyway, thanks again for the quick response :)
@@thomasanderson5929 I guess before I head out to shoot for the day when travelling. I decided if I will use the side access or use the roll top. Side access is a bit faster to be honest but I like how can I put the bag right side up and grab the camera from the top access.. keep in mind its a roll top so it's not super fast access but keeps the bag small or expands a lot when needed.
@@MichaelNgvyen Thank you! I went into a store to check out the WANDRD and brought my 2021 M1 16" MacBook; IT FITS! Slides in just fine into the camera compartment but the fit is a bit tight when the back needs to be zipped up, the laptop touches the zipper. So it's definitely doable. The bag feels a LOT more premium than the Manfrotto Street Slim... but at exactly double the price, I'd expect better quality. However, I'm still on the fence. The WANDRD has much nice shoulder straps though, but still not a fan of the back opening up like a clam-shell. My main two lenses are the Olympus 12-100mm and a 9mm f/1.7, I guess I could store the 9mm lens in the little pocket up top behind the roll top (it's REALLY small) for quickly swapping lenses and put the 12-100mm back in through the side access. Need to think about this. Thanks again for all your help :)

Whoa! Thats awesome. Reading this put a huge some on my face. I used to be huge into TCGs. The bag is super versatile and I totally think you will be able to find a solution to mount your mat with the strap! Thanks for leaving the comment. Made my day!
Mine just arrived today. I found this review SUPER helpful! Thank you!
Thanks Jen! I hope you love your bag as well! Appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. 🙏🏽
Very well thought out review from a photographers view point ! Thank you
Thank you very much James. Really appreciate you taking the time to watch and leaving a comment. Cheers!
Cheers!
It’s a tight fit, you have to stretch the side opening just a bit, but I’d rather carry a smaller bag.

Great summary and review. I’m getting close to pulling the trigger on one of these to replace my LowePro and this was really helpful. Cheers.
Hey Kris! Thanks for the comment. The bag has definitely been great and holds more gear than one would think! I think you’ll really like the bag especially if you want a more minimal, stylish and discrete set up. Appreciate you watching. Cheers!
Excellent review, Michael!
Hello Philipp! Thank you forwatching and taking the time to also leave a comment. Appreciate it very much!
Thanks for the review. I had just placed order. Hope it will come to me next week.
Hello Hans,
Glad the review was helpful! What colour did you decide on? It's a great bag! I hope you get it soon! I know you will like it a lot.
I love that colour. I currently have the grey one because yellow doesn't exist yet when I bought it.
It's definitely a unique colour especially for a camera bag! The one you have is still a classic go to though! Thanks for watching Gerald
Thank you for the review! Helpful!
Hi Igor thanks for the feedback! Appreciate your time for watching! Cheers!
@@MichaelNgvyen thank you for the quality content! :)
@@kyleledotnet your welcome! Definitely say hi if you do!
My concern is that the is not much difference between 21l and lite in terms of size to pay 300$
Thanks a lot for your reply!

Thanks for the great review.
Hi. No problem! Hope it was helpful to you. Appreciate you watching and taking time to leave a comment. Appreciate it!
I agree the magnet system would have been a bit nicer for sure. Thanks for watching the video. Appreciate your time.
Great review , the tech bag is the large, medium or small ?? Thanks
Hey Nelson! It is medium! Thanks for watching the video. Appreciate it !
Great review. Thanks!

Would you say that passes as a personal item when you board a plane?

Hi. I have the 21L. Do you know if the size of the water bottle pocket on the Lite is the same as the 21L? I see that the Lite lacks the extra buckles on the sides compared to the other sizes.
The Lite bag has has about 2.5cm less depth than your 21L so the water bottle pocket is just a bit smaller however it still fits my most of 1L bottles
Its been a while, are you still happy with it? any new problem?
Hey Bruno! Yes still super happy with the bag. Used it a lot for traveling. Not problems. Still looks new even.
Were you able to fit a gimbal in it, like a zhiyun m2 or m3?
Yea those gimbals would fit in the roll top section. If you have the accessories straps you can slip it on to the front. The bottle pocket is also a ok spot in certain situations.
Thanks @@MichaelNgvyen
You don't think it would fit inside the cube section, correct?
No unfortunately the gimbal when folded flat the arms depth when its on it side is 15.5cm and the bag depth is 12.5cm. So thats why you would have to put it in the roll top section on its side the bag has enough width for that. The bag is 30cm wide. And the gimbal i think is about 27cm wide without the mini tripod attached
So - what’s the difference between V2 and V3 as there is no clarity on this online
Hey Louis,
So. if I'm not mistaken, some of the online shops in Europe are calling the Wandrd Lite V3 and the V2 refers to the 21L - 41L.
Cheers
@@ThreePeaks5066 that great!! Thanks for looking into it. Pumped for you to receive your bag. I think you will love it.
@@cannondale1100. Thats great! I hope the bag works for you and you love it. If you have any other questions. Let me know.
i need comparison between lite and 21L :3
Can you fit a dslr in there comfortably?
Hey Kobek! Yep it fits any of the mirrorless FF bodies. But should also fit the older style aswell. Like a 5D

Cheers!

Overkill review
It was a great review.
@thomasanderson5929 awesome! Great update! Hope you land on something that makes you happy!
