I dropped all of my social media platforms a few years ago. I still waste some limited time on RUclips but no others. Best thing I ever did. I criticize my grandkids and even kids for spending so much mind-numbing time on their phones, but the truth is that us old folks are just as bad. I know I will have meat, so I don't hunt. But I have a great bunch that hunts my land, and they know to drop as many as they can. And I find sheds, mainly to not have to fix F1π§ tire$!
We fill our doe tags during muzzleloader season when we get together as a group so the rest of the season I just look for a good buck and let the little ones grow up. Believe me when about 15 of us get together for four or five days in a row, we lower the population and everyone eats what they take

Had a neighbor with a dangerous tree removal for his house and mine. Guy came out with big crane and crew and did a great job. He put down plywood to protect the lawn. When done there were two spots damaged about two foot square. Neighbor bitched and demanded the guy fix the two spots. I said he can destroy my yard I don't care. No damage to eigther house. Love the tree guy. Couldn't believe my neighbor. Hope you know I'm one of your big fans.
My last rant. Bern married for 40 plus yrs. Wife filled fir devorce. She's tierd of the uncertain frustration of the finances of farming. Yes we've had 😅tremendous 😅yrs. This last yrs eas difficult. Cause we have to refianxe or adjust so debt. We are 9.5 to one eqity to debt. Solid financial #'s. Abd she says thats not good enough. After 40 yrs. And when we started out the ratio was almost reverse. Hug your wife for Christmas.
I do zero custom work have a snow plow for truck thought i'd help out ppl plowed unmarked driveway only took a few minutes just charged 20 bucks then i got a you going to comeback in the spring and remove gravel from yard of the edges of driveway. I said NO I just won't ever come back and plow you out ever again. People just have not got it and still aren't getting it !!

Hunters for the most part are the ones that take care of the environment and nature. For example the goose population is completely out of control they make it so expensive and stupid to hunt geese now. That there is not many goose hunters anymore. There is a problem in the nesting areas up in tbe tundra up north in the arctic there is literally not enough area for them I used to hunt geese but it’s too much set up in the field with decoys and blinds plus I’m not crazy about the meat You would not believe the massive flocks of geese in the main fly ways and big ducks unlimited dams. It’s insane. But yea. I just hunt deer and moose now.
I agree and one of the biggest problems with geese here. The dumbasses only had a one goose limit for the longest time this year they raised it to three per person which is still not enough. It could be 10 per person and there’s still be too many of them.
The big problem is the city people that just are so disconnected from reality and the earth. They have no clue how the world and nature and how things really work
Hi I know how you feel about doing custom work my family has been in the custom combining business for 60 years know we have seen alot of things that would make you shake your and say well that's not how it works over the years we have had some farmers that wouldn't pay so we would file a thrashers lean on them and then they would do a thing until our bill was paid I could go on and on but what we found is the farmer down on the wheat run never argue and always pay because they don't want it to get out that they didn't pay because no one will cut for them next year.

Everyone wants you there at same time and won’t call until it’s ready to bale and never mind others who had you cut it and rake it so you know that it’s ready to go too. And we square baled and then it’s help issues don’t miss it at all😂

I agree and one of the biggest problems with geese here. The dumbasses only had a one goose limit for the longest time this year they raised it to three per person which is still not enough. It could be 10 per person and there’s still be too many of them.

Hi I know how you feel about doing custom work my family has been in the custom combining business for 60 years know we have seen alot of things that would make you shake your and say well that's not how it works over the years we have had some farmers that wouldn't pay so we would file a thrashers lean on them and then they would do a thing until our bill was paid I could go on and on but what we found is the farmer down on the wheat run never argue and always pay because they don't want it to get out that they didn't pay because no one will cut for them next year.
Yup if you end up with a bed reputation, it’ll be hard to find somebody that wants to do it for you

You are so right on custom work. My Dad and I used to custom bale hay and straw. Everyone wants you there at same time and won’t call until it’s ready to bale and never mind others who had you cut it and rake it so you know that it’s ready to go too. And we square baled and then it’s help issues don’t miss it at all😂
