As a Nevada resident I’m glad he corrected the state name pronunciation
But its nevahda aint it?
FR THOUGH. I don't know why but it makes me so mad for some reason.
It's ne-va-da not na-vah-duh.
That’s a funny way of saying Californian that moved. Just joking. I was one as well
Why do you guys get so mad about it? It's a Spanish word and everyone else is just pronouncing it like one.
How many states have tried to explain what mountains are to Florida now? It’s at least three
I know New Mexico is one of them lol
@@beeznbugz colorado tried too
This concept of a "Mountain" is as foreign to us as not touching a gator.
@@timothyferrelli8274 how am I suppose to get its tail without touching it.
Thats how much i Can count!!
As one who who lives in Vegas.................... This is PAINFULLY accurate. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to go yell at the Californians who are looking to move in to the next apartment because they don't know how to drive OR park.
I can't speak for all Californians, but I do how how to drive and how to park, AND, I also tell people from other states how to pronounce Nevada (and Oregon) when they almost always get it wrong. You're welcome. 😄
And, PS- we share Tahoe Tessie and Highway 50.
@@shannarose5616 The loneliest highway part is only in Nevada though. I wouldn't exactly call the freeway between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe lonely.
PREACH. The Californians scare the bejezus out of me on the roads. Go back to LA if you wanna drive like you're in LA
@@melodiesoflegend It's not Californians that are bad drivers, it's southern Californians. Also the Texans and Floridians that keep moving here.
Florida: "Talk About An Uninformed Buyer"
Gov: "I Haven't Felt That Way Since I Got You, Honestly"
Florida with A Smile: "You're Welcome"

Spain: "NO BACKSIES!!!"
@@GhostBear3067 😂😂😂
@@GhostBear3067 *points at France.* They tried to build a colony there too just before Spain try it. Maybe Gov can try to dumb him back to them.
@@CatherinePuce nah, the French are 2 Imperial Napoleon's removed from North America
@@ATemplarIGuess Well, they had great ambition for North America at some point. They just never spare enough civilians and willpower to keep what they have claimed. The British empire had to fight again and again to remove them from north America.
‘Does the suit have a hard time in desert’ works on so many levels!!
"I own 85% percent of the state."
"OH GOD, how many people is that??"
"About 5 or 6."
It's so accurate and kills me every time.
I actually visited Nevada a few weeks ago, and Tahoe, Reno, and Vegas are exactly how I remembered it 5 years ago with slot zombies, street preachers, and normies everywhere.
The air in casinos is a lot more breathable since they stopped letting the slot zombies puff away like chimneys.
you're gonna have a tough time finding a city without normies
@@yoko3182 I've noticed recently that I can go into MGM casinos without dying of asthma
I hope you had fun while visiting Vegas. As the time as this comment is posted, I'm currently in Vegas.
as someone born in Nevada; Im very glad you addressed how to Pronounce it properly
I love how Gov kept saying it incorrectly even after being corrected 🤣
He's lucky that California wasn't there. He might keep correcting Gov, even though that's not his name.
Same. When he addressed the *correct* way to say it it made me happy
It's not that surprising that early settlers would not know how to pronounce Spanish words.
I say it the “wrong” way and I live on the west coast
Are we not going to talk about Ben's sultry singing voice??
@@Ben_Brainard sing for us, please...

I think, he has a very nice singing voice.
Apparently not….

Our state song is forever ingrained in the minds of people who grew up here😂 also thank you for the correct pronunciation😌

What's funny is I thought to myself "I don't know the.....ohhhhhh yeah I do" lol

Nice
Three songs in one skit🤣😂 Is that a record?
The bloopers I can’t stop laughing at🤣😂🤣
Ikr 😂 when he said “i got it right!” He sounded like a mix or stitch and kermit
“You can go play in an abandoned mine”. Say that three times fast.
I am SO GLAD for the “Stay Out, Stay Alive (Abondoned Mines -Can- WILL Kill You) PSA here. I grew up hearing that. There was never not a magnet on the fridge stating this
This whole thing is the most I ever laughed since the last Table! Florida had me dieing the whole time!🤣🤣 School House Rock is most definitely Awesome! Poor DC is getting more aggravated every episode! I can see the " white Coats " picking him up soon!😆👨⚕️👩⚕️
I love the fact that Nevada called him out on saying the name wrong.
You’re saying like it’s spelled
When Florida was taking about his version of a spaghetti bowl that brought me back to my childhood.
You could use turpentine, and sandpaper, and you'd still not be able to get that red tinge out lol. 🤣
Learnt so much and then FELT IT with the Tupperware spaghetti stains.
“Please don’t get us sued by School House Rock.” 😂
Being a native Reno man, I am so glad that you mention the Spaghetti Bowl. Also love how you mentioned the dumpster fire that is Reno 911, just tell them to come over to the city and see if they can find just ONE palm tree throughout the city. I'm kind of sad that you didn't bring Louisiana in this given that it's the only other state that allows gambling in the USA.
The only thing missing is yucca mountain
… do y’all have another spaghetti bowl up north?
@@wadewidmann187 no, just the one. It’s what we call the area around the I-80 & 580/395; if you were to get an over view shot you’ll get why.
@@2013musicman no way dude, i just looked at it, both Vegas and Reno have highway exchanges called “The Spaghetti Bowl.” ours is at I 95/515 and 15

Fun fact: Nevada has the most isolated town in the continental 48.
Less fun fact: It sucked to grow up in.
@Neico Anderson Jarbidge. An actually isolated town. Makes Elko and Jackpot look like Carson City or Vegas.
My cousin just moved to Nevada (from CA) and bought a house. Well, it’s practically a mansion. I'm sure there was more than one Nevadan who wanted to tell yell at them at open houses. 😂🤗
You have inspired me to make a Canadian version of this. Of course Alberta and Quebec will be comic relief as they are constantly at eachothers throats. Ontario as the biggest province would mostly be the father figure and British Columbia hoooooo boy... Florida but with less dangerous nature and more WEED.

“Home means the sage and the pines…” 😂😂😂 reminds me of when I moved to Nevada in the 80’s and had my pronunciation rapidly corrected.
I'm actually impressed on the amount of research he did
i am a Nevadan, can confirm everything in this video is true. bravo!
This makes me so very happy. You really captured the attitude of Nevada. Another haunted place in Tonapah NV near the Test Site is the Mizpah hotel.
I actually live in Tonopah. And I love this little town
@Diane Kerr Tell me more please!
AS A FLORIDIAN NOW LIVING IN NEVADA I 100% AGREE WITH EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO
The Spaghetti Bowl. Oh god, that brings back memories. *flashback*
Awesome job on this one!
as soon as you said NaVaDa I was like "whoo boy you better pronounce it correctly fast" and then ya did 😂
Why would anyone even pronounce it like that tho??

I look forward to hearing about these "Disney Adults" 😂😂
I haven't thought about "stay out, stay alive" in like 15 years 😂
Thank you a million times for correcting the state pronunciation. I hate when people get that wrong
the *confused in most mountainous state* part got me, lol
Loved the quick shout out to Holes!! I love that book/movie. When I taught 5th gr, I used to read that aloud to my classes every year! When the movie came out, we all went on to see it for a field trip. 😁😁

How much research does this guy do the stay out and stay safe thing had me dead I remember learning about that in school still played in the mines though
I loved the segment. The bloopers were golden😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lake Tahoe and Lake Mead are a part of Nevada. Nevada gets annual flash floods now.
It was on my third rewatch of this video that I realized that the movie holes with kissing Kate Barlow, that gov says was a book first is the same book my English teacher had us read in eighth grade, that I did not know had a movie version that I probably could have watched and skipped reading.
Holes is one of my favorite Book/movie

I always love watching these. Thank you. 😊
Just love Florida haha.. which is something I never thought I'd say..
Along with the aliens and the Tahoe Tessie, all that is missing here is the "graboids" from Perfection, Nevada
**Confused in mountainous state** never gets old lmao 🤣🤣🤣
I visited Reno for a convention years back, I thought it was nice. Food at the casino I was nearest was actually very good.
Can u please do a Disney adult skit? Also love the videos they always make me laugh and make my day!
I love this so much, can't wait for my state.
US Route 50 goes through my part of WV. When we were out west we got onto it (though not in Nevada) and it was pretty lonely out there. Lol!
I love about a mile and a half from US1 🤣🤣
I just read holes in class. It's good.
[Glares in Disney Adult] Look, pal: I never got to go as a kid and had even sadly convinced myself that it would be boring so I didn’t feel bad when my friends went. Just let me have my f🤬ing delusion, okay??

@@Ben_Brainard This is true. The sarcasm, song lyrics, random trivia, and self-loathing take up A LOT of space.
I learned more here then my Nevada history textbooks
Ah yes the loneliest highway, highway 50. I take that when I have to go down south towards Vegas, let me tell you, that highway is brutal!! Nothing to look at except sagebrush and borderline scorched mountains, hardly any turns to keep you engaged on the road, and the only people who are on that road besides you are cops that go ballistic if you go 2 miles over the speed limit. GOD I LOVE NEVADA lol
Called a speed limit for a purpose , they are doing there jobs, not going ballistic for doing what they are supposed to do which is stop people from speeding
@@casssshow2306 I get it, not saying they shouldn't do their job. The joke was that you better not be messing up on Highway 50 lol
"Person, Place, Thing, or Noun." This got me laughing so hard 😂

Glad to know other people know that holes exists XD
So that's way the NCR keeps 95% of Hoover's Dam energy and occupies the strip.
I went hunting for that shirt for my husband. That shirt referring to "dont California my nevada"
NEVADA! My state!
I drove through Nevada to get to Lake Tahoe and it was depressing as hell. I only seen desert surprisingly snow and state prisons until I got to Tahoe.
The DC calls Virginia too: "hey I need agency work done, hey I have an open contract," or any of the others since they do house most of the agencies. It's so prevalent that when people respond to the question "where do you work" with: "the government" then it means don't push the subject; even worse with the response "the agency."
That sounds incredibly annoying and also like Virginia should be avoided like the plague.
@@Pyreleaf well, it's not everyone, and they're great people, it's easy to ignore, but fun to flont

I love Nevada!!! Makes me wanna take a trip now
I can so relate to all the tongue tripping words at the end =) Another great episode ♥
I feel like Florida would definitely know and regularly use the term Cryptids.
As a Texan I agree with Nevada's last statement
As a Coloradan, I’m gonna do the same to y’all Texans.... and Californians.
Why? You're 2nd on that same list.
And in both cases more people are still moving TO California than anywhere else. You're second on that list t......ooooooh now I get why Texas would hate it.
I lived in RURAL ELKO NEVADA! It’s NevAda
Even though Nevada is known for Vegas, Nevada is one of the most important states to the US, not because of it's booming society, but also because NV is a military state. Nevada test fired weapons, made new aircraft, and even made the atom bomb here. Lockheed Martin also made the first ever SR-71 prototypes here before they where given to NASA. Nevada is still testing weaponry and area 51 is still operational making and testing planes and weapons for the US
I came back to Nevada last week and currently Stateline, where Tahoe is, has become a bit smokey. Cali's fires have been kinda blowing in and not only that but there's our own fires too
I actually DO have a spaghetti bowl, just as described. Thanks for the vindication.
Everyone always seems to forget about Carson City. I know we don’t have a lot but we are the capital of the state (if that amounts to much).
As a former resident of Nevada i feel like this covered it pretty well. And I like the lost in translation with Florida. Given one is a high alititude desert and the other is a sea level swamp land surounded by oceans.
And yes Nevada is being passive aggressive. Most people there hate wearing masks with a passion and try and get around the rules as much as possible. The govenor felt it necessary to shout when telling folks the bars were gonna have to close down and the cops would be checking. And when he told nevadans the parks were closed cause of covid and to stay home. I went to floyd lamb and found a ton of people jogging fishing and having a great time.
We should have opened the city to medical tourism. Hold up sick people in hotel rooms for recovery and allow the docotrs to stay in suites. Fly people right into the strip from overwhelmed places. Probably could have gotten the feds to print extra money for a blank check to make it happen.
But nope we shut the whole thing down. At the time people needed to isolate for weeks after they recovered. Imagine being able to enjoy a pool and the slots while waiting to be cleared. Collecting huge unemploynent checks and blowing your stimulus on black.
I LOVE THIS EPISODE SO MUCH AND IVE NEVER BEEN TO NEVADA
These videos give me so much joy
So accurate.
Tahoe Tessi is shared with Califonia via the other half of Lake Tahoe.
Please do New York next!
I need a video that's the Gov calling Spain trying to return Florida and Spain remembering how dumb Florida is, is like "....sorry no returns" and hangs up
The way Nevada says Nevada is they why we Nevadans say it
i feel like Zack Snyder heard of the term "slot zombie", didn't know what it meant and decided to make a movie about it.
I deeply enjoyed that chaotic movie though.
Tamiami Trail, Florida !
Renoite here. Honestly loved this video, but as a renoite im gonna do the most reno thing and complain you didn't mention us enough lol.
There's a town in Missouruh called Nevada (nuhVay'duh)...

I live along US-50; just in CO though
Florida has hills too.
Isn't Florida like one of the fattest states tho
FLATTEST FLASTSTES
@@friedperogie60 No, that’s not us. Tallahassee is nicknamed “the city on seven hills” (I know that’s Rome’s nickname originally) along with the rest of the inland Panhandle being very hilly, though they’re probably not that high as others, plus we have Britton Hill. Just to name a few examples.
