Notre-Dame de Paris : Current progress after the fire. (June, July and August)

Last August 30 marked the start of the restoration of the framework of the heart of Notre-Dame de Paris. It was with emotion that the carpenters lifted the first oak pieces of the choir framework, restored according to a design and techniques faithful to the original work from the 13th century, on the basis of studies carried out by the master of 'artwork.
This stage, which marks the reconstruction of the framework, will give the cathedral its characteristic silhouette and will offer testimony to the know-how of today's carpenters, inherited from those of the Middle Ages.
This extraordinary project which is constantly in progress may seem difficult to follow for those who wish to stay informed of its progress without doing extensive research. This is why in this video, we are going to summarize in a clear and concise manner the work that was carried out during the months of June, July and August!

I hope it's rebuilt just exactly as it was so we can just forget the fire ever happened. A building's history is within the things that happened there, not in the fabric it consists of. In my view, it doesn't stop being a medieval cathedral just because it's been rebuilt, just like London didn't stop being a medieval city crammed with history at the great fire. It was built on exactly the same lay lines. As far as I'm concerned Notre Dame is still a medieval cathedral and London is still a medieval city. I'm very very very annoyed that the 12th/13th century roof structure was completely destroyed, but it's being restored exactly as it was with trees that are very old anyway, so it might as well be literally medieval. In another 1500 years it might very well still be there and so the extra 900 years it could've had (had it not burnt) won't matter so much.

Les français savent faire en la matière. N oublions pas le soutient du monde entier au niveau du financement de ces travaux. Elle sera reconstruire exactement comme elle l était . À la façon 'dont les artisans du moyen âge le faisait ouverture pour le 8 décembre 2024 pour l instant les délais sont tenus.' la flèche 'est déjà installée et commence' sont recouvrement. La nef est presque terminée saut le transcepte qui reste à faire et remonter l orgue. La charpente de la toiture est à 75 % remontée reste à la terminer et la recouvrir et remonter les vitraux. Que la renaissance de notre Dame soit la renaissance de la France et que Dieu protège Paris et toute l Europe ! Que Dieu garde la planète et l humanité. Amen ainsi soit il.

Only the French would have been so lazy as to not have a fire protection plan to prevent it burning down in the first place.
