First time I ever comment on RUclips since I was born. Thank you for helping me heal I waited couple of days to see if it work, and it has work. This is amazing. Keep up the good work. You deserve my first comment ever. 🤝🙌👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This morning I woke up with a really sore neck that I could not relieve using heat pad and random stretches. I believe the cause was the way I was sitting in a restaurant booth last night at dinner. I remembered your video (which helped me another time) and did the complete set. Immed. after doing them, my neck pain was gone. I will repeat tonight, too. I will take more care in the future with my posture. Thank you so much!
This is extremely helpful. I tried some of the stretches this morning as I get a chronic sore neck. This afternoon I have felt less knots and tightness! Thank you very very much.
Wow! I have been having some chronic neck pain for the last couple days. It surprising what little movements like this can do to make a real difference. Thank you for making this informative and very helpful video that truly alleviated almost all of my neck pain! :) will be doing these 2-3 times a day.
Have you ever treated someone with cervical dystonia? I've done a bit of everything over the years, including physical therapy. That, unfortunately, was a bit too aggressive, I think, and actually made me worse after 6 months. There is definitely a brain-muscle component in my issue, but I may try some of these anyhow. My face is now turned to my right most of the time (neck locked). I can barely turn my head to the left. It doesn't want to go that way. If you have any tips in particular for my situation, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks.
just want to know what if im the only one suffering from neck pain with feeling like someone is holding my neck...it feels so tight... its been 1 and half year now.. still the same it doesnt goes off. . it worsen when i do heavy work... sombody please tell me what is the cause... also the treatment... because off this worrying..my gastric level is worsenning... 😢😢
Suffered from chronic neck pain for the last 6 years. I’ve tried everything: trying every style of pillow, supplements, muscle stimulation/TENS, and acupressure. I’m on day 3 in a row of doing this and I haven’t had ANY pain or migraines. The first night it felt as if my muscles just melted. It might be early but man I can’t get over how good my neck feels!
I did these exercises this morning and I will do them again this evening. It feels so good to stretch! I really appreciate you sharing your skill set with all of us
Ear to Shoulder with over pressure really sorted out my neck discomfort. Years of discomfort sorted in 3 sets of day 1. This is day 3 of the stretches and I have more energy. Its crazy. Diet has not changed, cardio the same, though its improving as a result of the sleeping better. I am even struggling to wake up in the morning, it feels like I took sleeping tablets, though I have not taken any sleeping aids. Nice feeling though. Who doesn't want to sleep a bit longer each morning?
Did you try the exercises in this video? How does your neck feel? COMMENT your experience below and leave me whatever questions you might have. If you feel tight high in your neck at the base of your skull check out this video for help: ruclips.net/video/ZWBpqFWCD2c/видео.html Thanks so much for watching! 🙏🏼
Thank you God ,Thank you Sir, I full of gratitude with your service, since I had a neck pain past 8 years, I have a lot of medicines the past years till the December 2022, but I have never expect last one week I followed your exercises since 1 week only, what a miracle pain 99% reduced me thanks a lot Sir...Thank God...THANKS TO YOU ..I always Grattitude With you sir...
I have seen these exercises on several RUclips channels; however, the way you explain them is so amazing. The illustrations and techniques are top tier. I have only did it once and SO much relief already . The bonus at the end was great and that was a new one for me. Thank you so much!!
My neck was alright this morning then all of a sudden I had neck pain trying to turn my neck to the right. I did these exercises and it helped so much. I hardly even noticed the pain for the rest of the day. Will do again this evening
Thank you so much for this video! I have had neck & shoulder tightness and back issues for the past yr. I am turning 60 soon and have had poor posture all my life. I now know, my poor posture has caused these ailments. So I so appreciate these stretches!
Posture is honestly the most-common cause of neck pain that I encounter! Not sure if you've seen this playlist yet, but these exercises are SUPER effective: ruclips.net/p/PLT4Yite3Tx5m3uBvRvmctvbYUjHx3-o7Y Hope that helps!
I have done chin tuck for sometime and it helped me a lot but recently within few years so many doctors and professors kept saying never do chin tucks and ear to shoulder stretches. I am so confused.
You're not alone, Jackie! Students and those who work computer jobs are where I actually see the most neck pain. You might consider the ergonomics of your workstation and see if there are some adjustments you can make to help minimize your pain. Check this one out; hope it helps! ruclips.net/video/x12GnuV9Qgw/видео.html
I would recommend “chin tucks” whilst you brush your teeth. That’s 4 mins of exercise a day. Becomes a habit. Also deadlifts really help with your core.
Of topic question: I see you do a lot of health and fitness related videos which is amazing as i have used many of them the help myself. Thank you for that. My question is...... Do you have any remedies or daily routines that you use in your daily life?
Do you know if tennis elbow symptoms can be caused by neck strain? My physio thinks this is the case for me, the tennis elbow symptoms came a couple months before any neck pain. Tennis elbow only hurts during exercise, never lasts beyond that. Neck pain caused by tensing neck (anxiety) and tending during weightlifting, but it occurs at random times if I’m sitting down and there are weeks where it’s basically constant. Also this vid is great help! I improved posture and neck hurts way less. I thought I had okay posture for my neck for months… but I didn’t realise having shoulders back plays a huge role in neck pain! Guessing it helps support the upper traps or something.
I lived with chronic neck pain for 3 full years. Stretching can relieve symptoms but sometimes isn't the solution. I have been pain free for 6 months. Unique situation but let me share. 80% of people who snore have some form of sleep apnea. Sleep Apnea can cause neck pain. An apnea event can act as a micro whiplash causing pinched nerves and neck pain. Check yourself for sleep apnea and bruxism/clenching. Hiatal hernias or a weak esophageal sphincter can cause gerd which may also contribute to clenching/bruxism. You may need a mouth guard if you have chronic neck pain. Ask dentist if any signs of bruxism. NTI mouth guard works for me but others may do the trick as well. See a dentist and make sure they shave the guard down after and adjust it accordingly. If your bite isn't clean after getting a mouth guard it might make things worse or might not be effective. If you can't get use to your mouth guard, its possible you are a mouth breather and you are salivating a lot, and you need to switch to nasal breathing. If you cant breathe through your nose see an ENT, perhaps you have a deviated septum. Perform Face pulls on a daily basis according to athleneX or Jeff Cavaliere. Quit drinking alcohol and caffeine. They increase stress and increase blood pressure which could result in more cervicogenic tension and pressure on your nerves. Lift more weights. Eat an anti-inflammatory diet. Lose weight. Walk more throughout the work day. Fix the ergonomics of your desk. Drink more water and consume a well balanced diet. Start taking zinc, fish oil and turmeric supplements as they are anti-inflammatory. 400mg of magnesium before bed and upon awakening. Consume chamomile tea every night before bed. Go to bed early and wake up early. Try to workout before work if possible (hard one, but not mandatory). Try a wedge pillow. Sleep on your back, more aligned posture. If you start sleeping on your back but have undiagnosed sleep apnea it will make your symptoms worse. Get your eye's checked. You might be subconsciously leaning forward and straining your neck. Forward head posture is a beatch. Continue to stretch and don't forget to stretch your chest too. Doorway stretches. Get blue light filter glasses if you do need glasses and spend a lot of time at your PC, and get a blue light filter for your monitor too. Don't forget aerobic exercise too. Get a blood pressure cuff and measure it regularly. Get your blood pressure down to a healthy range. Coenzyme Q10 can help reduce it by 10 mmHG. Check with doctor before taking. I don't even stretch anymore. That's how good lm doing. Goodluck. Neck pain can be crippling.
Only ones who shouldn't do this are Cervical Instability - Eagle's Syndrome (chin tuck will increase symptoms) - Jugular Vein Compression (chin tuck will make you feel faint) - Lateral Stretch - ear to shoulder (if it hurts bad behind the hear - likely have C1 instability) - Get a DMX and check the open mouth lateral view. If a patient like this does these - they'll get worse.

Oh I'm so glad these helped ease some of the pain, Crystal! I know a lot of people are in your same situation. Not sure if you've seen this one... but whenever I get desk job neck pain in my clinic addressing the workstation is always the most effective thing we do: ruclips.net/video/x12GnuV9Qgw/видео.html Hope that helps!
Neck to side stretch: I've been told not to push my lower ear towards my shoulder, but to lift the upper ear as high as possible and tilt it as far as possible to the opposite side (the down ear side). It may look the same, but it extends, rather than compresses, the neck and feels much better to me.
Hello sir, sir whenever I rotate my neck from left to right so I feel pain in right side neck, some days before I was gone to my local physiotherapist he said me some problem in your neck spasm.. so sir from your point of view why it is happening and what i do now... Please reply..
Sorry to hear about your pain, Aryansh. Sounds like this could be your problem and the solution I would recommend you try out: ruclips.net/video/EO36FXqu81M/видео.html Hope that helps!
I was having constant neck and shoulder pain, so I tried these exercises yesterday and the pain is almost gone! What a relief! Repeated the exercises tonight and will definitely continue using these! Do you maybe have a video on good posture or something? Like at a desk or in a car? I think that’s where my pain comes from and I’d love to treat the cause!
Perfect this is my excact problem. I f i dont have pain i constantly have the tightness. I do use your other pain relief pysio techniquies and they do work. Thank you so much. I am going to keep doing them daily. Be safe be well. Thanks from Dublin 💪✌
Oh I'm so glad to get this message from you, Tanya! I'm thrilled that my other videos have been offering you some relief and I hope you continue to improve with the addition of these new stretches. Thanks for your support and take care! 🙏🏼
I've tried everything for my neck pain nothing worked! I just finished doing these stretches and I feel so much relief already! I will continue to do these daily! THANK YOU!!!
Man! I would never have believed this before I did it for a few days…… I thought my brain was bleeding day in day out with constant headaches but I think you literally saved my life.. thank u so much legend!
You are awesome my first knee pain is gone now working on neck pain Started cricket at 39 but you will lead me to pro for sure and really appreciated your videos immensely helpful tips
I really had to take the time out to thank you for sharing this video. I did the exercises just once and I could feel the difference in my neck. I will continue to do them, I feel relieved 😊thanks Doc🙏🏾
Hii sir, sir whenever i do sprint then next day while walking i feel pain ( not sharp pain) but uncomfortable in groin , in stretch of groin i am not feeling anything but in some hip flexor stretches i am feeling uncomfortable in groin. sir i am in problem please help..so sir what I do now... please reply. .
Hi Madan! Sounds like we need to get the hip adductors (groin) stretched out and stronger. You might try out these stretches: ruclips.net/video/f0sXwLNjp6ca/видео.htmlnd these strengthening exercises: ruclips.net/video/m1RZBpsoKgA/видео.html
Thank you I am new to the channel really enjoying your videos. This is super helpful especially now sitting more than ever working from home. I will definitely pair this with your posture videos I found. Hopefully doing this consistently will alleviate the pain which is located on the right side. This is a great start. Thank you.
I'm thrilled you found me, Antonio! I'm happy that these exercises offered you some relief and hope to be able to continue to help you. Thanks for commenting!
Some of you might be frustrated because nothing works but give it a time. The recovery can be longer but worth it. i attended PT due to neck pain, tightness and clicking sound when I walk or even when I turn my head. I did all the stretches every single day. It was a slow process but I am freed by my neck issues. Thanks to God
I actually already had a minor headache all day before I watched this video and after I followed the demonstrations, my headache subsided. This was really helpful thank you! I’ll def be finishing each exercises per your recommendation 👍
I have a headache right now only right side of my head is paining and i belive it is that some of the nerve gets pinched in my right neck right below my ear lobe ... And i have a very bad headache
These are great Jared! I share many of your videos with my own patients in my medical practice. Do you have an email where I can contact you? Thanks Lynda S
Who's here with me for the first hour?! I'm LIVE here for you guys - answering your questions real time from 6:45-7:45 (MST)! Let me know what you think of the video, ask your questions, and let's hang out together! How can I help? 🙌🏼
Ooo wee these are good 🫶🏾 The one with the pillowcase is a game changer for me. I had a “pop” in my neck and in my shoulder from old injuries and regular neck rotations were too much and felt unsustainable. The neck strengthen exercises plus the stretches are super helpful. I did both today and feel great :) Thanks Doc 🙂
Not if you do things to eliminate the CAUSE of the pain and stiffness, Akanksha. That's why I included the posture correction at the end... you can also find more great videos in the description to this video that will help!
Funny, I’ve been putting on muscle mass after losing a ton from a surgery & my is catching up fine with the exclusion of my pencil neck. These exercises helped so much as I was just doing the typical trap raises. AND The other video was even better! Very good, thanks for the posting!
Man, you were born to do what you do. You explain things in such a simple, fast and effective way while keeping easily understandable! Hats off to you and thanks, I’ll be trying these myself as I’ve tweaked something in my neck rock climbing.
These helped so much. I tried waiting a few days for the pain to go away on its own... no luck. Did these for the duration of the video and I can look over my shoulder now 😁
Just watched your video. I will try this. I've suffered with neck tightness and tension for over a year now. 🙃 2-3times a day I'm on it. How long over a period do you think? 🤔
Sounds like some of your pain could be more disc in nature. I would maybe try a few of these exercises and see if that offers you any more relief: ruclips.net/video/q5SsM9PWWYc/видео.html
Thank you!!! Aggravated it during golf, hit the Chiro, but these stretches are really helping. I can tell the differences after the first round of them. Going to now do 2-3 times daily :)
Really helpful video. Wish with the descriptions of the exercises listed below you might be so kind and include an exercise sheet with the illustrations. Thank you for the videos they are very good.
Thats what i get for being stoned before standing in front of my tv doing these exercises - i totally didn't realize there was a wall behind him until he said it 🧐👀😵💫🤯 @8:20 🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello... Your videos are really very helpful.... Thank you... I have a doubt while doing this door way stretch Im feeling a pressure in the middle of my lower back..... Is that how it should work.... Because I already have lower back pain & for that I'm following your lower back stretching exercises
I'm following your instructions at the moment and I can already see and feel that these exercises will help me get rid of the pains I've been feeling for ages. Thanks so much.
I have been suffering from neck pain for few months now which always gets tightened every few minutes. I also wake up with stiff neck. I hope this will work because this neck pain affects my activities.

@@toneandtighten Thank you sir, and sir when i press my knee together then also i fell very uncomfortable in groin.. please reply.
The "Cervical Rotation (Pillowcase)" stretch is excellent!
Good knowledge base, over 2 million YT subs, great hair, and a hot wife. This guy is living the life! Thanks for these tips!
I absolutely am living the dream!
Is that the “self-snag” exercise?
Some of you might be frustrated because nothing works but give it a time. The recovery can be longer but worth it. i attended PT due to neck pain, tightness and clicking sound when I walk or even when I turn my head. I did all the stretches every single day. It was a slow process but I am freed by my neck issues. Thanks to God
Thanks so much for sharing this! Patience is key!
Thank you for the encouragement ❤
" that nice double-chin effect." I like this dude.
Chin tucks really work wonders
It's just too good
Thanks
Couldn't agree more! So great for those upper neck muscles and headaches! Thanks so much for commenting, Adithya!
I feel like deeper breathing while stretching helps vs short breathes. Great stuff.
I actually already had a minor headache all day before I watched this video and after I followed the demonstrations, my headache subsided. This was really helpful thank you! I’ll def be finishing each exercises per your recommendation 👍
Oh, you are so welcome! I am so glad these were helpful and I hope you continue to find relief!
I have a headache right now only right side of my head is paining and i belive it is that some of the nerve gets pinched in my right neck right below my ear lobe ... And i have a very bad headache
Ok
These are great Jared! I share many of your videos with my own patients in my medical practice. Do you have an email where I can contact you? Thanks Lynda S
3 day in. My neck pain is 80% less. Thanks so much! ❤
Did it completely go away?

Thank you so much for this. Starting to feel relief after years of neck trouble.
You're most welcome!
So glad you are finding them helpful!

Thank you. I like how the exercises were explained.
You're welcome! I am glad you found this video informative and I hope the stretches help!
Does neck pain and stiffness lasts for lifetime ??
Not if you do things to eliminate the CAUSE of the pain and stiffness, Akanksha. That's why I included the posture correction at the end... you can also find more great videos in the description to this video that will help!
This is just great, thank you. I can feel the relief after first excercise. Thank you!
You are welcome, Lucie!
You are so kind! Thank you!
@@toneandtighten more than welcome!
Have a good one.
These helped so much. I tried waiting a few days for the pain to go away on its own... no luck. Did these for the duration of the video and I can look over my shoulder now 😁
Wonderful news! So glad they helped!
I just want to know if he’s flexing in the thumbnail or not…. Because if not I need him as a trainer
How come I can't get this? It doesn't give option for Canada?
Just watched your video. I will try this. I've suffered with neck tightness and tension for over a year now. 🙃 2-3times a day I'm on it. How long over a period do you think? 🤔
Same here, exactly. Let me know if it worked for you.
Is it weird that when I do the chin tucks most of the pain flares in my left delt? Its that connected?
Sounds like some of your pain could be more disc in nature. I would maybe try a few of these exercises and see if that offers you any more relief: ruclips.net/video/q5SsM9PWWYc/видео.html
Thank you!!! Aggravated it during golf, hit the Chiro, but these stretches are really helping. I can tell the differences after the first round of them. Going to now do 2-3 times daily :)
