3 ways of propagating my E. Blue Bird and E. PVN

  • It’s spring time here in South Australia and let’s Propagate more succulent. This time I’m propagating my Echeveria Blue Bird and Echeveria Perle Von Nurnberg. And by doing this 3 ways of propagation we can multiply more our favourite succulent .
    So pls join me guys in this video and I hope this video will give you and idea and inspired you to propagate as well. We don’t need to be an expert to do this even a succulent beginner can do it.

      Hi Valisha thank you so much , this pvn got a thick stem even the blue bird . I myself struggle to chop those succulent but I’m happy I did it coz the results are amazing

      The PVN has a hard thick stem that is why I need to give all my best lol 😂

      I always do this kind of propagation. The succulent will grow in a bra cluster

    Hi Ems! It was good to see the before, and after shots of how they have come along, The PVN put out a lot of babies for you that's exciting! The Blue Bird also will increase for your collection, it's such a beautiful succulent the Bluey! I use my cinnamon more in my garden than cooking these days! lol.

    Awesome successful propagation, The PVN has a lot of new sprout , I will do this when some of my plants grow a little bigger . they are still small right now

    The echeverias are so big! I need to find me another blue bird and I'm hoping my pvn grows as big as yours. 😊

      Thank you friend, this 2 Echeveria is not producing babies for me since I have it that is why I decided to behead it. They just grow bigger

    Head chop is a great way to propagation but so brutal 😂😂🌵

      Yes it is ,but when the plant got thicker stem it’s more harder to cut. But the results are amazing lol

      I am the same , I need to start propagating too. I’m a little bit behind at the moment. I usually starting to do my propagation 3 weeks before spring time comes. But got too busy at work 😁

    Great video, learned a lot. I have a little succulent, don't know the identity ofcourse 😄. Everytime i think now i'm going to try and propogate, but now... months further and i still didn't dare to do it 😆. Now i've seen this video, maybe this weekend 😂 ... You explained it very well how to propogate .... 👌

    OMG! Cut it with a cord. It is easy and you don't damage so many leaves.

      Hi Georgi, thanks I did try the fishing line but my Succulent has a thick stem. It’s just breaking the fishing line. I did mention to my video that I used the fishing line to cut the succulent. What sort of cord your using for a thicker stem?

    Can't u use blade cutter in cutting plants for propagationinsted of bread knife?

      What is Methylated Spirits? Methylated Spirits is Denatured Ethanol. Methylated Spirits is a term used primarily in Australia and New Zealand. In the UK it is called "Meths", and in the USA it is called "Denatured Ethanol".7 Aug 2013
      make sure dilute it with water 50:50 and don’t expose it to sunlight after use or else it will burn the plants or you can Methylated Spirits
      Used straight, dab directly onto small mealy bugs with cotton wool or cotton buds for pests within the crevices. Mealy bugs proliferate in sheltered positions, usually under eaves or in indoor plants.

      Hi Sis, the only fertiliser my succulents get is from the potting mix that I use. But if the potting mix has no fertiliser I just put any slow release fertiliser.
