These horses are often misunderstood and mishandled. Khalessi has a different personality to most saddlebreds. She really cares about your attitude and how you handle her. These horses can never be mistreated . They don’t respond well to aggressive people.
If people don’t like saddlebreds, Arabians, or thoroughbreds then they will not like the Akhal Teke. The Akhal Teke is like the Saddlebred and Thoroughbred combined and are amazing. They are very intelligent. Also extremely sensitive, and can actually be protective of their owners. My saddlebred cross is very protective over me.
Gaits are a lot like akhal teke. Like the saddlebred, atheletic, narrow, sensitive, very intelligent, extremely alert, and extremely quick reaction times, can go for miles without ever getting tired. Both the saddlebred and akhal teke have in common.
When I say the saddlebred is very much like the Akhal teke , people don’t believe it. Saddlebreds are the closest American breed in structure and athletic ability to the Akhal teke. I got to see a turkoman at the Kentucky horse park and yes they are like a one person kind of saddlebred/thoroughbred. Very intelligent and sensitive. Often people find them as crazy as the are a hot breed but hot breeds are just misunderstood as every hot breed is such as the thoroughbred and saddlebred hate
Beautiful horses. As an animator in an online world overrun by AI, it's been very difficult for me to find real reference videos of rare animals such as these. I had to do some digging but I'm happy to have found this. These videos of real animals are only going to become more important as the years go by. Thank you for filming these beautiful animals!
Fun fact that the genetical studies of the bones show, that 40 % of the horses burried with the Pagan Hungarians who conquered their actual territory in the 9th century, were Akhal Tekke.
I do not know much about horses, but I have ridden Akhal Teke ( In Iran itis called Torkman), Iranian Arabian and the mix of both. Akhal Teke is tall and long , practically never gets tired. But it tends to give ride to its owner only. So, it is not a horse that somebody just jump on it and ride. Love them all. ,, California.
Akhal-Teke are my dream horse. Their stamina, intelligence, and bond with their owners is amazing.
Saddlebred is very much like the akhal teke. My saddlebred cross actually tested with recent akhal teke ancestors .
