Very very impressive ! He started at the age of 5 years and did his first concert with 6! Saw him yesterday with the luxemburgish philharmonic orchestra, just PERFECT !
Wow, thanks for posting this. Repin had that massive sound even back then. It is very touching to see how much Mr Bron cares as he is teaching too, truly one of the great ones, both of them.
I saw Vadim Repin perform in Istanbul a few months ago. He was spectacular. He mesmerized all of us and I am a huge fan of him since then. Thank you so much for this video!
how can vadim show so much enjoy and fascination for the music he interpret after benn suffering so many bully corrections for so many years; its amazing.
Fantastic playing!! I have a record of Repin playing both of the Krennikov Violin Concertos, it is amazing....but to see him on here is just incredible. While listening to the record, I forgot that he was this young when he made the recording.
This footage is an unbelievable miracle!!! So glad I heard Vadim Repin and met him in person at Symphony Hall in Boston, Massachusetts a few years ago. Teachers have great influence! What a perfectionist his teacher Zakar Bron is. This attitude is needed when helping students reach their full potential.
Tchaikovsky's "Razmyshlenie" ("Meditation" or smth like) It was supposed to be the real second mouvement of his concerto, but later replaced by the Canzonetta.
Khrennivok violin concerto no1 , 3º movement, after that we plays Tchaikovsky meditaton , in my You Tube Channel you can see the first movement of this concerto
@egonsky You were probably responding to me. I think you missed my point. I wasn't saying "kids shouldn't learn music because it's too hard", I said "teachers shouldn't treat their pupils like that". There are many excellent teachers out there who treat kids with due caution, and many great musicians who weren't insulted and belittled every time they got a note wrong. This is not the only way, is what I'm saying here.
I think it´s both: poor kid and also a amazing kid....who ever will be able to look inside this young person? To be a great violinist, he had/has to practice hard. Talent only is not enough....sorry for my english....I should practice english ;-))
@chystokletov no, its some russian law that wont let you get certain pieces unless you live in russia, I don't understand it really. But do you know if this piece is possible to get in america?
When I was twelve I was learning to wave "bye, bye".

Ok. Now, I think I'm gonna leave my violin and learn to play the triangle. That would be more reasonable.
Both passionate teacher and talented kid! I love Vadim Repin playing!
Вадик, ну какой же ты замечательный!
