@@maqaroon that's great, do you think the silicone clay could be used for clay cracking? Like just put a glaze on it and wait a day for the glaze to dry then crack it?
Homemade cold porcelain is INDESTRUCTABLE! I think it's fairly easy to work with as well; definitely easier than Daz clay, which I found way to soft. I made a yarn bowl with really intricate art nouveau-ish details and I'm telling you: that thing will be intact even after the world has been blown to smithereens by some cosmic event, aliens or human stupidity. I can't give you a good reason to why I'm promoting cold porcelain on this video, but I think I really wanted the world to know and now was the time. I'm normal.
I remember about a rubber clay that you needed to boil after sculpting and turning into an eraser... I miss that so much XD it was really fun to play with
Oh, I see you're at that stage of motherhood where every small, cute cartoon rodent is a 'Pikachu'. I'm afraid it's terminal, Joanna. You've got the Momitis. Soon, you'll be collecting decor and knick-knacks of a specific cute animal to decorate your home with.
Yes I was really surprised! In the first video the products were okay-ish but the extra stuff in the kits from this one were awesome. I can't wait to use the tools for future DIYs!
Imagine if u made your silicone clay into silicone molds- 😳 Edit: The cookie cutters on the silicone clay could probably be used for the kawaii gummy land kit (Popin Cookin)
“Yes I’m fully aware it looks like a butt.” Hahaha!! This is the first video I watched when I got up this morning. You are a treasure! Love your videos.
My advice is to only buy clay when you need it because air-dry clay tends to dry up (even inside the package) over 6-12 months. I also recommend going for the larger packages because those tend to stay soft for longer, however once opened, you have to use up all the clay within a few weeks otherwise it will dry up as well.
I have your notification bell on yet I was going through your vids and there is a couple like this one, that I missed from just a couple months ago and I'm like omg how? Like I would never skip or not watch a new vid of yours if was in my notifications. So I hope YT algorithm isn't messing up or anything. 😖
I recommend using silicone mats for baking the silicone clay (I'm not sure which one is the silicone one so Im talking about the apple one) They are very non stick so it really really easy to use
When you use google translate instant feature, the translation might come out nonsense/inaccurate especially when you translate japanese. If you click on scan (in the middle next to instant) and take picture of the text you want to translate, the translation is more accurate.
Japanese people have been wearing masks for lots of reasons long before the pandemic, so I'm not sure why one would assume it's because of that they have mask customization kits.
I think the statement that japan incorporated the pandemic into their creative things is kind of an ignorant assumption since being sick in Japanese culture has already been a certain way for a long time.
Yes true, wearing masks was widespread in all part of Asia before the pandemic (I'm Chinese) but I never saw those mask printing machines before. You could always get cute face masks for kids before 2020 but there's a difference between just buying them vs DIY kits for customising your own. I also found a kit for a hand-sanitising slime and I'm fairly certain those products were influenced by the pandemic.
The silicone cake base is an absolutely genius idea, I hope whoever thought of that got a raise!
I realised later that it's even smarter because the clay will fuse with the silicone so you have a perfectly solid piece!

For google translation it’s best to actually take a picture of what you need and scan it I find the translations more accurate that way

Yes! The 'live' translation doesn't work nearly as well as you might think!

I'm late for this message, but the world hasn't ended, so there's that. Homemade cold porcelain rocks. What recipe do you use?

Sculpey polymer clay makes eraser clay that you bake like regular polymer clay (a bit lower temperature).
i remember watching those rrcherrypie videos or something where they’d make those and i thought it was the coolest thing
