LOL… I didn’t see the panels until after I recorded… Glad to know that you have the same thoughts… The Toon aesthetics is my preference, so the G1 pictures for reference helps to validate my thoughts, I think…
You got what it should come with… I got the same… It’s a cool accessory… but the actual sword… comes with a repaint figure (don’t know which one)… but I don’t remember Grimlock with a sword in the cartoon… (just the G1 toy)… so I’m ok with it…
i want to get this but im not in a rush for some reason. i loved the Newage one and i have the MFT version and the origianl DX9 one. but i would like this one for the Dino mode. i usually display my Dinobots in robot mode. i just always thought the bot modes for them were so intimidating and massive and tough looking. lol.
I think you can hold off on this one for a while… but you just reminded me that I forgot to bring out the MFT version… It’s not toon accurate but I still really like that one ( silver finish, easy transformation)… and I’m starting to like the Dino-Alt mode now… cause I agree with you that they seem to have a more intimidating presence that way… which is the way I think they should displayed…
Magic square does such a great job. I mean look at the legs. They so clean. Kudos to the design team for real🎉
They do a great job designing the sculpt and finish… looking forward to the day we hall the G1 characters…

Strange my New age Yimr/Grimlock came with a flame sword that detached from hilt and became flame thrower in Dino mode
