Será que Hasbro utiliza este molde para la versión de SS 86?
Thanks again! These are my first magic square figures, no wonder they're so expensive.
I want to learn about that ark background! Who sells it??!!
ToyHax sells it. If you’re interested in it, here is a link: toyhax.com/herobot-front/349-herobot-front-large.html
Nice to know your collecting reasons
Thanks… Thought people should know since I’m also collecting Masterpiece, Mainline/Retail, Magic Square, and NewAge…
I'm heavily into collecting these figures, good quilty, good engineering for their size, I just reviewed their megatron on Instagram.
@@vikingcelt221 I’m into it too… and agree with you on the quality, engineering, size… I just subscribed to your IG and saw your post… I like that Megs is a little taller than Optimus…
colors really pop on this guy. always approve of the white thighs on a Prime
Agreed… Optimus needs White Thighs… maybe blue shins too…
I love these ! They look AWESOME with the newer titans with 3rd party city bots etc
Agreed… like you said, with the Titans and 3rd Party City bots they fit-in perfectly!
Yeah, its like a mini Earthrise design. Even their upcoming Red Alert has the Kingdom design with red limbs that's not toon accurate and looks weird. Some new studio MPH is doing a new Prime that's more toon accurate in this micro scale.
They released ramhorn with the new 40th anniversary bombshell. Maybey the speaker wil be parted with rewind.
The Ramhorn they released with the 40th Anniversary Bombshell is the original G1 mold… Still waiting for the Studio Series version… I heard a rumor that will come with the other speaker… No word on Rewind…
@@streakshooter918 ahhhh my bad.. i thought it was a studio series version.. 🙈
@@Hubert79 When I first saw it initially thought the same but had to look closer… I’m so that that Hasbro didn’t do that to try and get us to buy / collect the 40th Anniversary line… That would have been another strike on Hasbro…
so hasbro wont use a small piece of plastic for a window box but will use endless amounts of tissue paper and tape. when will it end????
LOL… True… and maybe that’s why they should use LESS…
No, you’ve got it backwards. Hasbro is a multi-billion dollar company. They have a huge budget and the reason it’s $10.99 and not $34.99 is because they make thousands of them. The less you have made the more expensive it is to produce, so you have to charge more to both make your costs back and to make money so you can pay your employees and keep the lights on. With all that said it should be perfect and it rarely is so the fact that some no name 3rd party company can make bootleg figures that look exactly like they did in the show and can transform into exactly what it’s supposed to turn into is an embarrassment. Hasbro makes trash at the end of the day but I do like the 86 line even though it’s just a higher quality line of trash (Optimus and Bumblebee and their stupid backpacks included). Magic Square Legends are a beautiful thing and now that theyre doing masterpiece scale, Im going to only buy their stuff to build that collection up in the future. I just preordered Swindle (MP-04), so I hope they make the perfect screen accurate MP line complete with lack of detail for those of us that want our TFers to actually look like that “children’s cartoon.”
I’m speaking to why Hasbro figures don’t look as good as 3rd party… They have the budget… but they are not willing to spend more to produce a better figure… If they did… I’m sure Steeljaw would be much better… My point is you get what you pay for… If you pay less (Hasbro), you’ll get less… If you pay more (3rd Party), you’ll get more… I like how you described “Higher quality Trash…” Interesting way to put it… and Magic Square figures looks great… I didn’t know their MP-04 is up for preorder… Going to preorder it now… As for the “lack of detail…” to look like the “children’s cartoon…” I have to wait until I get my hand on it to decide… I love to Toon Aesthetics… but Hypertoon Aesthetics… Still deciding how I actually feel about it…
Wow thanks I was having a lot of trouble with the legs.
Thanks… I’m glad it helped…
He looks good from the front. His scale is off. His back is awful. No waist swivel which is 1990s toys and even some of those had a waist swivel. He was poorly designed and rushed and clearly made for combiner mode. I don’t care if it has parts forming. All the original combiners had parts forming in the 80s. I will get the xtb as well and one will be devastator and one will be the team
Is the die cast only in the feet?
Yes, the only diecast is in the feet
A partsforming heel? That's a failure of design right there. I'd rather keep an eye on X-Transbots after how good their Long Haul looks. And of course Hasbro are throwing their hat into the ring once more.
Looking forward to Hasbro… and it will be interesting to compare the part forming desert background floor from X-Transbots with FansToys…
Good review well done and very thorough as always. I think this Scrapper looks amazing. That aside I am actually in for a Devastator that hasn’t released yet which is going to be made by 01-Studio Cell. Did you hear about this one yet, Thoughts?
Thanks… and the 01-Studio Devastator (Zeta ?)… is like a 2.0 upgrade of Constructor… with a built-in All-in-One design… which is a cool concept… like what MMC is doing… and the stylized rendition of Devastaor looks nice… and I’m sure there will be improved designs… but for me… I prefer the Cartoon aesthetics… but I’m sure that there are other collectors that will like this new look…
I myself have THF-04 hyper magnum and it’s quite nice I must say
You have a nice figure… I like how the folded up the huge butt-flap…
@@streakshooter918yes me too 😂😂
Tell me how you're supposed to stand this figure? It's literally impossible. Those spindley legs with no heel support and a heavy backpack? Absolute trash that should've stayed in the trash.
He looks great!
I agree… it looks great! Just need the rest of the team to come out already…
How tall is the figure?
It’s 4 7/8” from head to toe… and 4” to the too of the back…
Epic review Streakshooter's TF Collection!!! Congrats on getting SS86 Optimus Prime, he has become the "must have" Optimus Prime figure of 2024. lol :D Keep on being amazing.
Thanks… I agree that it’s a must have… Hope you open yours soon… and maybe do a review…
You’re welcome! I will most definitely do a review of SS86 Optimus Prime when I free him from his box! 😁
I appreciate the fact that you do both transformations. After sitting on the shelves, when you want to put them away, you can only find one transformation, and it is usually not the one you need.
Thanks… Sometime it is hard finding the transformation you need…
Anyone know where I can get a spare tire for the ko mp44?
Don’t know but you try to contact the retailer you bought it from…
mine is still sitting on my kitchen table unboxed. its on my "to do" list of stuff to open. i havent watched any transformation vids because i love trying to figure it out on my own first. but i know its gotta be fun.
I hope you get to open it soon cause it is fun… Like you, I also enjoy figuring out how to transform it… but I have to admit that it took me about 40 minute LOL… but it was fun discovering why… That’s the great part of figuring out transformation… we discover and learn things that other miss out on by following other’s transformation… but in all fairness, it does help on occasion… I hope you get to it soon… ‘cause I’d like to see a Optimus Collection… a small one that is… not over 100 of them LOL…
Perceptor and Blaster were definitely together in the 86 movie- they fought the Casseticons together! 😊
Yeah… I totally loved that scene cause it was the first time we saw Eject, Rewind Steeljaw, and Ramhorn…
What you said about the plain toon aesthetic- this is why prefer NewAge over MagicSquare. MS is more toon accurate, but all the details in NA help make the figures look better.
Beautiful!, I really enjoy my copy and I know you will as well…great review as always 🌎🤔🌞🔑
You’re right !!! I am loving this figure… a lot!!!
Your reviews have gotten way better the past few years! You’re doing great dude, keep up the good work.
Thanks… I think I still need a lot more improvement… but if I can keep working on my videos… I hope to keep improving… … … Haven’t seen any videos from you in a while… Some Gundam would be nice… I started looking through old Gundam I remember… and I really like Gundam 0080 War in Pocket… kind of sad story… but it’s good…
Sorry but all that extra detail doesn’t belong if you want a toon accurate look. Skullface can have his detail but his belittling of fans of true toon accurate is insulting. His beloved extra detail figs are based on that same “children’s cartoon.” This 86 Prime looks good in truck mode but in robot mode he only really works from the front. The massive back on him and the missing parts on his hips ruin this figure. The 3rd party figs put these Hasbro figures to shame. Magic Squares Light of Peace Prime features everything this figure has and doesnt have that horrible backpack, missing parts on the hips, unnecessary detail work (IF you prefer toon accurate) and it transforms. My only gripe is the window color but I can fix that if I want. I will never have to buy another Optimus Prime ever after MS’s fig. I will be picking up this 86 Prime since I have all of the 86 releases, but that’s it for Primes for me unless Hasbro gets with the program figures out how to properly engineer a TF to not have a backpack. If the 3rd parties can do it so can the multi-billion dollar company.
I hear you… and want to respond with my thoughts… First, Bobby’s opinions on details… is based on his personal preference… and there as some aspects of it that I agree with… and some that I don’t… However, like you, I too find insulting… when he belittles… others opinions as wrong… when he asserts his opinions / preference as a objective right… when in fact it is a subjective… based on each individual’s personal preference for aesthetics… That said, I do prefer the toon look… but I also appreciate the details when they are done well… from an Art & Design perspective… Fact is, there is no right or wrong to subjective preference… but… when it is judged in the context of toon accuracy… then it is… either toon accuracy or not… I’m all for toon accuracy… but I’m also flexible / forgiving when it’s not… As such, I try to be objective with my opinions when judging… so I try to consider the criteria and context… i.e., Masterpiece / Retail / Legends, cost, etc… As for Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime… Considering that it is not a Masterpiece figure… and the budget cost for a Mainline Retail figure… I think that it is a well made figure (7/8 / 10)… but… there are several issues with the figure that I consider minor… such as the missing side hip skirts, the flimsy smoke stacks, etc… The Magic Squares Light of Peace Prime… is a really nice figure… and it does capture the toon aesthetics better than any other figure we’ve gotten thus far…. BUT… it’s not a fair comparison with Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime… because it’s not a Masterpiece figure… So to be fair, I have to keep the two separate in different categories… I appreciate your thoughts… and I too like the Magic Square Optimus… and have many other complaints with Hasbro…
Can I pair this to Black Mamba Optimus Prime???
@@KleinChryslerMacalanda-rs3yc Not sure, but I actually pair this with Black Mamba Optimus Prime because the scale looks correct…
Thanks for the shout out man 😁
I like the threezero soundwave 😊 too bad it doesn't transform.
Yeah, me too… if only it could transform…
Is that the one who got his head torn in half by Optimus?
No… That one is Grindor from Revenge of the Fallen…
Umm the Siege SW CAN transform into the lamppost??
@@gialanamoon5094 Was not designed to transform into a lamppost… but I’m sure there is a way to custom transform it to look like it…
1st world problems. People atarving
And what are you doing besides treating washing your face as optional?
@@charlieparks2015 ???
I'm wanting to bite the bullet but i keep hearing abt how he is a bit flimsy and fiddly i enjoy sitting at a desk and just transforming them etc would u recommend him or nah
@@BdbdjHddbdbIf you like the visual aesthetics… (G1 Cartoon accurate - looks Great)… and are careful and cautious when manipulating and transforming figures… then I would recommend… because it is a great looking figure and you can get dynamic poses… but… it is a LITTLE… flimsy and fiddly… that is not too much of a concern if you are aware of it… and careful and cautious when handling the figure…. I’m really happy with the figure… and it is the most toon accurate Masterpiece scaled Optimus Prime that cleans up aesthetically very well…
@@streakshooter918 gotcha ik how to handle more fragile ig 3rd party figs and read alot abt his quirks i appericate the info
I watched the entire video waiting for a base mode comparison, and no base mode comparison :(
I may do that when I get work on finish my “Old Masterpiece Collection…” I still have Omega, Superion, and Protectobots to finish…
I personally have disdain for cartoon accuracy. I believe in character accuracy. Both cartoons and toys should strive to capture original and authentic interpretations of a character. Therefore embellishments are welcome. War for Cybertron and legacy do a great job of this.
Yeah some collectors don’t like toon accuracy, which is understandable… cause we all have our own preferences…. I agree with your “accuracy…” but some characters are hard to achieve… e.g., most Autobot toys have a face mask… and the cartoon has a face… … … but maybe the “swapping…” of face can resolve both… but the color… such as Bombshell’s “grey…” chest in robot… and “purple in alt mode… is hard to fix… but BadCube did a excellent job fixing that… with some stylized interpretation that you may like… and for the most part, I agree that WFC and Legacy do a great job at it… but the design engineering and cost is another issue… and distribution… Like Seaspray being a “WALMART EXCLUSIVE!!!”
just bought the set. thanks for this letting me know they made the good blue. cost 4 bucks.
Glad to know got it… I’m sure you’ll like it as much as I do… just make sure you get all the stickers attached … I almost forgot the small pieces that goes on the top corner of his chest…
Stop saying ‘really’! Your review is just “really, really, really, really, really…”
Ok… I’ll work on iy
Very nice!👍 I don’t care for the yellow which tries to round things, however. It would look better if stickers were 100% blue to match the mold, even if that means sacrificing a bit of toon accuracy.
I really like your videos. I'm late to collecting g1 transformers. I only have about 5 of the fanstoy. Would you mind telling me where you got that backdrop,?
I got it from ToyHax.com Here is the link: toyhax.com/volcano/100-generic-volcano-large.html
Thanks a million and thanks for all the awesome content.
i have that Netflix version but im always a sucker for a re-release. i said i dont need the new one, then whatch, two months later i will wind up getting him in Target or something. lol. Soundwave is my favorite Decipticon. i did like that Siege/Legacy version but the transformation was too boring. that ravage is really bad though. i use the MP one for my CHUG display
I feel you… For some reason I find myself doing the same… … … but I can tell you this one is worth it (not the price)… just for Buzzsaw… Soundwave… … … I think might be my favorite Decepticon too… He is “SUPERIOR…” Siege is ok, for what it is… but I still think it should have been the Cybertron Light Post… MP Soundwave still hold up as a great figure!!!
Great review Streakshooter's TF Collection!! It's fantastic to finally have Buzzsaw in the War for Cybertron Trilogy Micromaster cassette tape mold, but it's mind boggling why Soundwave, Rumble, and Ravage are packed inside his box. lol :D Keep on being amazing.
Thanks… Totally happy with Buzzsaw… As for Rumble and Ravage… I think they were added to make up for the price / co$t…
@@streakshooter918 You're welcome!! I agree it was for the price tag of a leader class figure. I have to be honest, I think Hasbro and Takara Tomy should have gone the extra mile and designed new figures of Slugfest and Overkill. lol :D
@TFfangeek agreed… I think Slugfest and Overkill will be made but it’s still a while away…
@@streakshooter918 Fingers crosse that they get new figures in the very near future!! 🤞
The backpack is supposed to go down more by the way. 4:47
Thanks… It’s much better when it’s transformed correctly… need to update with the NEW stickers for it…
I had The Return of Optimus on VHS as a kid. This was a nice blast of nostalgia.
Thanks I really like your review. Just wish you showed transformation
Thanks… As for Transformation, some people don’t like my transformation cause it’s too long or “captain obvious…” (someone called me)… but I’ll see if what I can do to improve…
I’d love to hear your thoughts on Studio Series 86 springer. I know it’s a controversial take, but after buying/owning most of these representations as well, I really find Big Spring to be the springer I gravitate to the most. I find the robot’s proportions to be heroic, if not exactly classic springer proportions. Both alt modes read like their classic cybertronian forms, particularly the helicopter. The transformation is involved, clever but not over-engineered. His face and lack of paint are detractors, but if it were reissued in premium paint with a sculpt on par with Studio 86 (my favorite thus far of all) I think people would give that mold it’s roses finally. Anyhow. Love this video…as a springer fan, it resonates.
I actually like the Studio Series Springer… It’s not 100% perfect because of the limited cost production for a Mainline / Retail figure… but it is great and we can only image how much better it would if it was a Masterpiece… As for the other versions of Springer… I agree with your sentiments about Big Spring… including his face… It really is a nice figure… and much easier / fun to transform… and a premium finish reissue would be amazing - Like a MP scale Studio Series… Here is a link for my review of Studio Series 86 Springer: ruclips.net/video/eeGnecfdNs8/видео.htmlsi=datV4AwG5stIGpER
This is it, this is exactly what he needed! Definitely getting this
I still think this version has the best proportions of all Ultra Magnus offerings. Nice try Xtransbots but, I always wished someone would MP Scale this with more toon aesthetics
I agree… especially with an MP scale… that would be awesome… but it doesn’t look like that will happen… so I’m waiting to see how FansToys turns out…
