There's so many good builds out there. I wish we could simply save preset builds so that we could switch to them at anytime. It would also be cool if armor transmog was an option in this game....
yeah its a long ass game and im surprised when i first started playing this game just a week back because there wasnt a transmog feature and preset builds yet + the weird unavailability of ng++ which ruins the grind for the legendary gears but i know that mods can help with this on pc
Top notch builds! I just tested this one on my 44lvl NG (lacking 2 mutation slots but still). Works great :) I am just thinking about improving adrenaline gain so each quen will proc replenishment on silver sword.
Yeah, this build is insane. Just started new game + and I can kill everything so easily. Even "??" Level enemies. And I don't even have the legendary gear!! Sick ass build.

I'm level 6 and having a blast so far no issues. I like the idea of the build I'd like to follow it but I'm not on Ng+
It's really a non issue if you make mistakes, because you can buy a potion of clearance at many of the alchemist npcs, it costs 1000 gold and rerolls your points. I would say take it at your own pace, and use whatever supports the way you play best, so if you attack a lot go red, if you love oils, bombs and potions focus on green, and blue if you use lots of signs. Light armor for melee builds, medium for signs or alchemy builds and heavy for tanking.
love the build but i have a quick performance question, when your in the dlcs do the faces and the surroundings jitter left and right also go out and into focus? or is it just my game
Could you showcase a buidl with the reworked wolf set (not to be mistaken for the forgotten wolf set). Seems with the extra bleed damage and the sword damage i would be a viable melee combat build, no?
The only other solid armor set that could somewhat work with this build is wolven armor. But that's more of an adrenaline/hybrid build than straight quen/lifesteal/tank build
None. If you want a tank you want this armor. If you use another witcher armor set it would be stupid for it to be a pure tank, because it wouldn't be that effective. Wolven armor is best for hybrid, griffin is best for signs and looking ugly, cat is best for melee damage, manticore is best for epic euphoria build, Kaer Morhen is best for the looks. Bear is needed for tanking, unless you want to use ugly Undvik Armor. The damage resistances is the most important thing if you want a tank in this game, Bear school has the best resistances. It's not that ugly tho imo.
The next best tank build is even uglier. It's the Undvik Armor. If you want that ugly armor set, you have to purchase it from the armorer in Kaer Trolde in Skellige. It can't be upgraded since it's not witcher gear, but it has the 2nd best resistances, and the #1 best resistances against humans. But Geralt isn't a tank, he's a witcher, but who am I to judge?
Great build but I would add Levity to the heavy armor. Keeps all the heavy armor stats but turns it to light armor so instead of loosing 20 percent stamina regen you gain 30 percent.
Heavy reduces damage taken and improves heavy attack independent of it's defense stat, but sometimes I do use bear for a light attack build too. It's a really good armor set.
Dont know what happend if there was and update that gives enemies more HP and stronger attacks but i started playing witcher 3 few days ago with that build (already at 100 level) doing the same damage as you do in the video even a bit more but all the enemies exept some small ones im killing them quite long time and when my quen break and they hit me without quen they do a lot of damage a i have to use swallow potion a bit more any the build is still great and sorry for my bad english

If you want to level quickly, 2 levels of delusion is a great investment. Also the school technique in the gold tree that matches your armor type is an excellent choice. Many of the gold tree is valuable early on, for example you could multiply bomb damage by 200% With 1 skill point. Get a northern wind bomb recipe, and you've pretty much broke the game instantly. Also around level 17 use cat armor, cat school in gold tree, plus red tree fast attack abilities for easy damage. Put quen runes in your armor and always use that sign for defense. Hopefully that helps?
Not that you actually need a super optimal build to complete this game on death march, but for arguments sake do you think this build is stronger or your sign build?
Huh wait. You're telling us that sign intensity and modifiers to sign damage such as ursine 6set increase the damage provided by the replenishment sword enchant? That's huge
Not really new info, if you watch my old immortal build it could heal half a life gauge with quen and ekkimara decoction. Much, much weaker now, and that 200% increase is only about 2k damage at full adrenaline, but yes it works, and the protection enchantment causes it to happen automatically.
This is how I level through death march, currently run 9. White Orchard - just use your first witcher set. You don't need anything else. Once you FIND the materials you can upgrade your warrior jacket. Make sure you do everything in white orchard and pick up every little thing you can sell. And before you leave make shure you have found the 2 witcher blade schematics. And if possible. Craft them. (For materials you can cheaply dismantle stuff and steal from villagers too) Do not sell any weapons or armor. Store them in your stash. Novigrad or Oxenfurt pays multiple times the amount. Save everything until you make it there unless you really really need some coin. You can find basicly every schematic in the game. But I mostly spend my coin on potion and decoction and upgrade papers. And ofcourse the witcher school location maps. Velen. You should be around level 4-5 when you arrive here. Have the viper blades. I keep using the witcher set I get from the start up to lvl10, but you can use what ever you find if you have trouble with surviving. Pick something with blunt and slash damage resist. And if you are going with keira right away. Monster or elemental is great. (fight with elementa blade oil against wild hunt) if you have protective coating it gives extra resist too. I highly recommend practice with sidestepping and movement and not using roll dodge. It does not eat stamina and you can use quen when ever you need it. Makes flow of combat much better. At level 10, buy the nilfgaard armor set from the vendor in crows perch. He also has a great set for roach. It is relative cheap. And for swords you can pick what ever you find on your level what yoh find in the world, like the one in the water near troll bridge for example. This set will take you to level 17 where you can craft the cat school set. And that set is a great set to bring you to the bear school set. (Bc damage output but you can make other choices ofc) want an early tank then the set from skellige is quite good. (Undvik) Aquired tolerance, heightened tolerance, tissue transmutation, synergy. Are most important from alchemy, later on add killing spree. Poisoned blades and protective coating can be very helpfull early game and I take them over combat skills early on. but I drop those later. And then choose for heavy or light attack with resolve and razor focus. Metabolic control, cat school techniques( I make my beararmor armor light at the runewright) and rage management. Fleet footed and arrow deflection kan be really good for defensive. Once in toussaint make a pre of the mutations and grandmaster armor. If coin is an issue you can either farm boxes in skellige sea. There are other methods ofc. Hope this may help your journeys 🙂
You won't, just respec at lvl20 when you get Ursine set. Before that Cat School technique, poisoned blades, acquired tolerance, and couple of light attack boosting skills
There is a few ways you can do it, bear set increases all quen activity, also quen enchantment, runes, also a decoction to pop quen whenever you take enough damage, anyways, just a bunch of abilities working together
Hi can i play this build but with light attacks? Prefer them over heavy ones. Change the armor from heavy to light,i dont care much for quen but i dont wanna die form 1 shot on dm. Would it work?
@@aksyn1 cat gives around a 100% Increase to fast attack and criticals, even more if you build it right. Bear improves quen, including quen damage when it breaks, if you stack quen runes you can kill by being hit, also deadly precision can affect this for 1 shot kills. Also bear makes it easier to land charged heavy shots. So if you use bear and light attacks, sure you will be slightly harder to kill but it's not leaning into either defensive or offensive strengths. Not sure it really matters until you get set bonuses from master crafted armor and start enchanting and stuff, but you won't be as good as you could be. It's not a big deal really as long as you have fun, that's the important part.
Awesome build! (it's like a "paladin" build) A question: Wouldn't the build better of with Razor Focus and Resolve, instead of Hightened Tollerance and Fast Metabolism? I mean i understand why you don't use Resolve (lowered chance of Adrenalin Point loss). Quen can block any type of damage and recast itself, thanks to the set bonus. Razor Focus on the other hand could give you one Adrenaline Point in combat and since we got the Protection enhancement wouldn't be wise to grab that talent as well? So we don't have to build up Arenaline Points, just to upgrade our Quen, which increase our damage. Meanwhile we get extra 30% attack power from Greater Red Mutagen.
Any improvement you find works better for you would definitely be wise to implement. However I have noticed that the instant adrenaline point seems glitched, at least on console, since the update and rarely takes effect, so I swapped in some green to use alghoul decoction and maribor for a more reliable source of adrenaline.
Depends, aerondight is really better suited to a sword build, this is really more for survival. It would be fine to use but decrease defense a bit, and aerondight wouldn't be as strong.
As far as i know charging a sword with the power of quen will heal you (like the caretaker with his shovel) and doesn't do extra damage, therefor replenisment + quen can't provit from the 6 pieces set bonus. Can anybody confirm or eliminate this theory (picked it up in the comments of another video discussing the effects of runewords - there you also see the green glowing effect like with the caretakers weapon). Never the less using this as a way of healing, especially when you use quen constantly seems a good strategy.
@@optimusgrime8265 Thanks for the answer, extra damage + healing effect is sure a double plus for me. :D With Witcher 3 there are so many multiplicators and factors that influence each other, sometimes it can get confusing where the damage or a certain effect comes from. I will definitly choose this build for my NG+ Deathmarch playthrough.

Hi i have a question is it posible to level up your grandmaster set? Couse i had it unlocked from level 40 and im now level 44 but the set is still 40 is there any way to level up your grandmaster set ?
@@tomashoustek6755 You can only do ng+ 1 time, sadly, and legendary grandmaster is as high as it goes. I think you need level 75, and the closer you get first playthrough to 75, the easier it will be.
Eating your favorite food everyday starts to feel like being fed dog food from a can. Not that there's anything wrong if you really love alpo, but maybe try a different brand?
This build is so boring, I like full IGNI and AARD to burn and knock / freeze + Max Sword fast and strong attacks. I never use points on queen or or the green category. Btw why so few people counter attacks guards or any human enemy with weapons? (right click after they start the attack and before getting hit), it's the eaiest way to let them defenseless and you don't need to be dodging so many times. This must be the step in the tutorial fight that most people forgets.
Pretty good build, I like it. However one thing in this game I will not do and that is give even one copper to that con artist runewright. Even if I have 2.5 million coins from farming B and W I will not give him a penny, I find the entire concept an insult to ordinary common sense and decency. So I use rather than the gorged on power and I forget the name of it, one of the amber skills increases both sign and sword damage, yes you must yourself cast your own Quen sign, no problem, and that con artist did not get any of my coin. Grin! I use attack power and armor piercing runes on my swords. In my game gorged on power vanishes on any fast travel, so got tired of that nonsense. For an additional boost I do not use Fast Metabolism as it works only with potions and I prefer to simply chug 3 decoctions and that is all I ever need. Ekimmara, Ekidna, and Water Hag. Succubus might be better, dunno, never have killed one, most likely never will. Even in games I try my best not to do evil things and never fall for a con artist. That guy reminds me of real life situations experienced in my travels around the world. Tis a shame the game will not let me set him on fire........Would that be evil, nope he full well knows he is a shyster. Yep lots of variables, and any build can be tweaked this or that way so long as its basic core remains. Nice Build Cheers Kit

What are thoughts about exchanging the strong attacks with fast ones with small change to armor (adding levity)?

For example use quen to deal damage lol it's like 400 tops at @250% sign intensity. Not super huge but I'm glad you're stoked

How does your Quen recast every time? I thought it's only a 30% chance.

You can clearly see the damage increase several times in multiple videos of this build.

How is your ursine gear lvl 90? Mines in the 40’s and basically useless for Ng+
Everything scales up, you need to upgrade it to a higher level

Yes, when you get to ng+ all of the diagrams reset but are stronger, so you just do the same thing over.

Well potion and decoction are situational, I use them all, but mostly here I'm using ekkimara, water hag, thunderbolt and tawny owl
This build is so boring, I like full IGNI and AARD to burn and knock / freeze + Max Sword fast and strong attacks. I never use points on queen or or the green category.
Btw why so few people counter attacks guards or any human enemy with weapons? (right click after they start the attack and before getting hit), it's the eaiest way to let them defenseless and you don't need to be dodging so many times. This must be the step in the tutorial fight that most people forgets.
Pretty good build, I like it.
However one thing in this game I will not do and that is give even one copper to that con artist runewright. Even if I have 2.5 million coins from farming B and W I will not give him a penny, I find the entire concept an insult to ordinary common sense and decency.
So I use rather than the gorged on power and I forget the name of it, one of the amber skills increases both sign and sword damage, yes you must yourself cast your own Quen sign, no problem, and that con artist did not get any of my coin. Grin! I use attack power and armor piercing runes on my swords. In my game gorged on power vanishes on any fast travel, so got tired of that nonsense.
For an additional boost I do not use Fast Metabolism as it works only with potions and I prefer to simply chug 3 decoctions and that is all I ever need. Ekimmara, Ekidna, and Water Hag. Succubus might be better, dunno, never have killed one, most likely never will. Even in games I try my best not to do evil things and never fall for a con artist. That guy reminds me of real life situations experienced in my travels around the world. Tis a shame the game will not let me set him on fire........Would that be evil, nope he full well knows he is a shyster.
Yep lots of variables, and any build can be tweaked this or that way so long as its basic core remains.
