I haven't even brought my first horn home yet, but I memorized the fingerings already! 😆 Thanks for an easy to follow lesson!

Hi David, I would like to watch how do you prepare before a concert. Sometimes I find my lips swell in the morning, can you suggest me how to fix it. Thank you.

Hi. Have a question. I'm finding small air pockets forming under the upper lip while I play, especially when lips are tired. Is this something to be avoided as a horn player? Thank you.

Not a professional, but as long as your sound doesnt change or it doesnt get unconfortable to play, it probably doesnt matter.

Hi David, thanks for making the vidoe. May I know what is the brand and model of your horn?

Hi Wolfgang, I play a Lewis horn, which is made in Chicago.

@@davidcooperhorn Which horn do you prefer? The Alexander, Lewis or the horn you used before

Hi Wolfgang! I love all of the horns I have played! It’s a hard call to say which one is best, the Lewis works really great in our hall in Chicago and it’s really well made. Most importantly I’m really comfortable on this horn!

How do you like that sw lewis compared to other horns you have played?

Do you subscribe to the theory that the mouthpiece must be placed below the bottom line of the bottom lip? My lips are too large to get the mouthpiece over the entire bottom lip. I tried a larger mouthpiece, but my upper register is weak, even when the mouthpiece covers the entire bottom lip. I'm confused on the 2/3 upper, 1/3 lower.

What size Farkas MP is that?

You obviously use a downward airstream. I watched a video of Dennis Brain. It looked top me like he used an upward air stream. Why could he do that and play like he did?

Hi John, I am not sure about Dennis' emboucher but it sure worked! He was one of my heroes growing up!
