Retired Army here. How do you have a doctorate and be an E4? Are you going to stay enlisted or receive a commission? Just curious. I found your channel because Im looking to get back to playing.
I am an old old Hornist. 68. It is always great to find a different warm up to use. Our little symphony is doing Mozart 40 AND Dvorak 9 this afternoon. My chops are tired from an all day rehearsal yesterday and I'm feeling old. I hope this warm up helps. Oh, and I play principal. No one else wants it.Haha It is a great, and soothing, warm up. Thanks!!
Is A1C Rose Valby playing the exercises completely on the F-side of a double-horn? I learned, below g' to use the F-side, up c" the Bb-side and between g' & c" I can choose.
No, she uses both sides of the horn are used - follow along with the fingerings and you'll see the letter T written next to some of them to indicate that the trigger (Bb-side) should be used.
i'm convinced if i just play like 8-12 hours per day without focusing on anything particular i'll just become good.
