    As I have commented elsewhere, Mr. Lloyd, the French horn is not one of the instruments I play - but your demonstrations are tempting me to change that.

      keep an open throat and try to play as dark as possible

      So What :/ Long tones .. Long tones.. and long tones... Tuning and scales as well :)

      Yamela Cague I personally played a lot of chorales and worked on my tone itself to get better, but I agree that long tones are a great method. I find it important to listen to a professional play and mimic his/her sound

      Michael Hartzog I can agree with mimic other professional players , but every horn player will be unique , i personally listen to many proffesionals to get an idea

      I think you mean _Arrangement,_ which is a type of piece of music. It can also mean a certain structure of a tune.
