You need to ask Brenda to be your Stitching Therapist. She ‘s good at providing marching orders. 😊. Side note, love stitching on Seraphina as well . Think it has a beautiful hand. ❤️❤️❤️
I love watching your videos! The variety of your selections is refreshing. I am so looking forward to your next Flosstube. Keep up the beautiful stitching!!
Thank you for sharing your story of cutting fabric too small to fit the final page of your cross stitch. I made that exact same mistake and after stitching for 2 months straight on my project just realized it. It is only my second cross stitch project so it was a bit discouraging. But I was encouraged that I am not the only person who has made this mistake. I started over on a larger piece of fabric while watching your episode. Thank you for making my second try so enjoyable 🤗 Best Wishes Reecie!
Another great video. I just finished a French Alphabet Sampler, it has family names hidden in the alphabets. My husband, my name, Dad, Mom, maternal and paternal grandmothers and also all our initials and my great grandmother initials. If you haven't done one it's a fun stitch, I too like alphabets. I just bought a piece of 46 count and I'm afraid it's to hard to see, but I haven't given up yet, I'll try again another day. If only if been more adventurous when my eyes were younger. Have a good week.
Reecie you are my hero! If I had to do it all over again(40 years worth)it’d be GigiR and Scarlett. Letter! My stash shows otherwise but your parade provided me with a very long wishlist! I’m calling Attic tomorrow! Let us know how the 56 ct: works out I did a small hem stitched hanky once that was @56 ct: Loved it but slow! I put a small marking sampler on it! I’m still laughing about a SLCoach:::: not a bad gig if you can get it ! You’re more organized than you think: My go to is a huge planner with lists, pattern names, linen inventories, and samples of specialty stitches I’ve tried . Organization is the root of all success but disorganization can take you to places you’ve never been. Thx for sharing,,,,
Reecie, you are so cute and funny! I enjoyed your Gigi R parade very much. I have the Martha Scott graph and need to start it soon. Happy Stitching! Pam Miller
another great video Reecie - thank you. I adore your Gigi R haul. There are a few on my list. I have the rose wreath sampler which I'd love to start maybe this year.
I love your work-every one of those samplers is gorgeous! And I feel you on the stitching life coach. There are times when I need someone standing over me saying, “Don’t you give up on that project! One more motif! Stitch, woman, stitch!” 😂
I have a wip nearly finished on 53/60 (I think), using AVAS 100/3, which now counts 57/64 after dyeing. I started Ann Roberts by HATS on January 1, but finally put her in timeout in March because I was worn out. My linen is so tightly woven that it’s difficult to see the holes between threads. I’m working with John James 28 petite needle, although Nicola suggests #10 beading needle with tapestry point because she thinks it’s easier to keep the needle threaded with the silk. I felt like the beading needle made it too easy to split a linen thread when stitching. I’m sure each person has their preference. You can see Ann Roberts @leeloves samplers. Be sure to let me know when you start stitching on that 200 count!😂
Manor at Quaker HIll has come along nicely. Don't fret about getting a little freaked out about all the starts - I think a lot of people end up in that place I mainly focused on my wips and Ihad 4 new starts only - 1 every Monday. After a couple years trying it - I had to find what worked for me cause I got too anxious doing it the other way too. I am a huge GIGI R fan because of Brenda and Laura (and now you are adding to that). Sadly though, very tough to find here in the UK.
Great starts for Maynia . Your little red chair stitch is just Gorgeous !!!! I love that pattern . Sampler hill is so lovely and wow on the size of it… Liked seeing all your Gigi r patterns . Great linens in great colors . Happy stitching
Wonderful video Reecie I loved seeing all your beautiful projects and starts.. my Maynia (Isomaynia) this year is samplers 31 starts in 31 days and I only have today & tomorrow to complete my goal.. I’ve absolutely loved the challenge.. I’ve been seriously enabled by Flosstubers this month & have been increasing my GiGi R collection 🤷♀️ addicted what can you do right..soo happy to see you started Consider the Lilies, mines on Sea Fog just for something a little different.. soo many threads omg.. anyway just wanted to drop in & say HI.. maybe we’ll catch up one day at TCG...so love it there 😁keep on stitchin 😍.. oh another Flosstuber you might love is Michele at the Striped Rose 🌹 🤗
Love, love, love your videos! I was actually stitching on Hickety Pickety when you held yours up! It is going to be for my brother who lives in Connecticut in the USA. He has a dozen chickens 🐓whom he refers to as his “Ladies” in an English accent! 🤣They give him lots of eggs every day. I live in Georgia, home to the Okefenokee! Thought you’d get a kick out of that. Look forward to your next floss tube.♥️
Another great video. Wish I could stitch as much as you do, unfortunately I’m a tad bit slow.😂😂. Loved your little red chair sampler, I, going to have to get that for sure.
You got some really beautiful fabric pieces!! I have really enjoyed the GigiR parades - she has some amazing samplers and you've 'helped' me add to my list of must haves!! Stay safe and happy stitching.
You are adorable! Sweet personality! I will not be stitching on anything higher than 40 ct in this life. I almost need a microscope for 40. I've never stitched a Gigi R., but clearly, I must. Thanks for the videos!
Hi Reecie. Love your ideas and your Gigi tribute! I am stitching the Loara Standish Band sampler on 53/63 legacy Manuscript Vellum. I’d check the gothic ivory before you start as its likely an uneven weave as well and you want to orient your project correctly. You can stitch anything on it but it will change the shape of the finis depending on orientation. You will also want to use either Soie Surfine from AVAS (my preference) or Tudor silks as they a finer. I can’t wait to see your choice!
Beautiful stitching Reecie, I have fallen in love with your Gigi samplers and will be buying my own copies. I have the same eyesight good up close not at a distance. I can manage really well with a daylight light with a magnifier , the Halo is a desk top or there’s a floor model . I think Daylight has a few stores around Sydney, I hope this helps, Karen R
Loved the video! For your project on 56 count, I would probably start something not too large in one color from Modern Folk Embroidery or something similar to that aesthetic. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect project. And thank you for showing your fabrics from Seraphim - that’s going on my wish list!
Hello reecie , I’ve enjoyed your videos. I’m also doing a reflets de soie on winter moon and it’s a great colour. I’m doing Louise lallier 1901. With a massive floral border. Be careful what you wish for!! Can’t help you with the smaller counts. The smallest I’ve done is 25 and I struggle with that. But then I’m older than you! Many thanks x
I think we all need Stitching wife coaches. Or a Brenda to give us marching orders but as they say stitch what you love. I like the Noel by Pineberry Lane. What an epic GIGI R parade, I haven’t seen a couple of them and of course when I saw the Fair Lady, I just had to bring mine back out again. I tried the 53 count Sycamore seed, I believe and I was able to see it but with magnifying glasses it was much better. My problem is reading the chart and wearing the glasses made me dizzy but Jean on the Attic video gave some good tips. I wear glasses for distance and have progressive lens so going back and forth was the issue. I started and must get back to Louisa Coulimore, a Hands Across the Sea Sampler for it was just all one color and my focus was more on the stitching vs. the threads. I also need good lighting. I confess that I got Dusty Road as well, how could you not. Love the linen colors you chose. When I got Dusty Road, I also got Bee’s Knees which is beautiful. I belong to the monthly linen club from Victorian Motto Shoppe and just received mine today, absolutely gorgeous. Somehow found Silkweaver Fabrics on Facebook and she had a sale last weekend so got some fat quarters to try, a gal can never have enough linen.
Hi Reecie!!!! What a wonderful parade. I fell off the band wagon during Maynia as well. Oh well, maybe next year. I am loving Gigi R's patterns. I had to pause your video and go purchase The Color Red. lol I stalk Nicole as well and have purchased the Dusty Rose fabric for my Consider the Lillies. Hope you have a great week and so looking forward to your next video.
You almost said Okefenokee right 😀 i live here. It’s a swamp in my hometown. I love it. You can take boat rides through it, you can camp out there (but watch out for those gators 🐊) , it’s a beautiful area all together.
Awesome video Reecie! I laughed when you said you were stalking me - well I am stalking you right back! You have some amazing projects going. The only thing I have stitched on a higher count linen is Rose Wreath Sampler (because of your amazing finish) on 46 count. I have some 5.0x magnifying glasses that I use when I’m stitching it. Good luck! Can’t wait to see what you pick!
I would like to formally apply for the “Stitching Life Coach” job. I think we could all use one. I love the colors in the “Deventer Duo” pattern. They are so pretty and now I have that added to my cart. Between you and Brenda & Laura, I think Gigi R is going to wonder what in the heck is going on with her patterns flying off the shelves- lol. Your progress on “Quaker at Manor Hill” is going to cause me to add that to my stash as well. I think I gasped when I saw it. Thank you for sharing your love of needlework!
Enjoyed your show and all your starts for mania. When your dog barked mine sat up and started barking like they were carrying on a doggie conversation. She just couldn’t figure out where he was.
Thank you for your video. Always love watching and listening to you. I know what you mean about Maynia, there were a few I didn't want to put down. I'm doing 31 starts, so only 3 more new starts. It certainly has been interesting, but fun! Loved your WIPS, and seeing all your GigiR patterns. You've got some lovely ones. Good luck on 56 ct. Good grief I just ventured into 36, and I'm okay, so bought some 40, but haven't received it yet, so we'll see how that goes! Take care, be well, and happy stitching!
Now I see more GiGi R charts that I need! :) A stitching coach is a brilliant idea, maybe I would get something finished! You have lots of beautiful starts to work on!
Hi Reece! What a delightful video! Loved seeing all your starts. GIGi R patterns are so lovely. Watching folks talk about them is getting me all “helped up” as Laura would say! Lol loved your new linen. I recently joined her FBook page and they are gorgeous. She’s still dyeing. Continue to take good care sweet lady 😘❤️ Rebecca
Hey Reecie another fab video 👍 Love all of the charts and the fabric 😍😍 I also have loads of kitted up projects and fabric stash (with more on the way 😂🙈), I like to know I can start things whenever I want (it’s a another hobby I think 😂). You have definitely extended my wish list with all of the Gigi R’s you showed and that Reflets de Soie is stunning I can’t wait to see your progress on that. Would love to be your stitching life coach but I need one myself so if you find one send them my way 🙈😂. I stitched Blessed Bee by Brenda Gervais on 56ct I think its my 3rd video that I show it in. I didn’t like it when I first stitched on it but when I went back to it I loved it for some reason. Mine was a small freebie piece from xjudesigns but I wasn’t keen on the yellow so I tea and coffee dyed it so who knows what count it turned out...I should count it one day 😂.
No wonder you got burnt out, your starts were mostly huge!! A stitching life coach 🤣🤣🤣 - I would say stitch what is calling to you. If they ALL are, put them in a decision wheel and stitch on what comes up for as long as you want then spin again. That's what I do. 53 count??? I would go blind. Highest I've done is 32!! Love your videos and thank you for the update.
Reecie!!! You’re the cutest! I was giggling when you said you need a Stitching Wife Coach! 🤣 love your Manor at Quaker Hill and all your wips/starts!! I saw a few Gigi charts I need to go purchase! I wish you the best in your Real Estate endeavors!
Love your finishes!! I also love The Color Red chart. I’m off to order it 😍 Ive decided to kit up Yvonne Leclercq. She’s amazing!! Dusty Road has become my favorite fabrics. I really like that you showed the others too. I hope you’re doing well and I’ll see you next video ❤️
Love your In My Garden. Gotta get started on that book too. Wonderful finishes. That red chair lovely. Such wonderful WIPs. Thanks for visiting and sharing. Patti
That's a great idea! A stitching life coach. Hmmmm I think you should just stitch what you want when you want or you'll get bogged down & bored (possibly losing your stitchy bug). You have some beautiful pieces to work on and I think you had some great starts considering the amount of time you had available to stitch. Patricia
Just last week I got the Glorianas for Mary Griffiths! They are scrumptious! The Attic has that conversion. I haven’t researched which linen I want for her. I love your videos! I must tell you that your previous video about your Reflets nudged me to finally place an order. There are so many beautiful Reflets de Soie charts and I chose Yvonne Leclercq and Louise Lallier.
Manor at Quaker Hill is so pretty! The little pond is so cute. I love all of your GiGi Rs, I do not have any but I did see a small one I will have to buy. Your such an enabler! 😆 Thanks for sharing your WIPs, you have a lot of pretty starts. 😊
I would find a cute Halloween small to stitch on the 53ct to give it a try. Like a small Stacy nash or Scarlett house. You should see the smalls they have at the Attic that were done on 52ct etc gorgeous (I’m lucky to have the attic as my LNS).
Great video, as always! Love ALL your WIPs! I just finished G Leger by Reflets de Soie and I am enamored with the European samplers, you showed lots of those. A suggestion for your 53 count try-out...how about Anna Ohman by Lila's Studio. Just one color floss and a reasonable size AND a nice design. Okay, now I am off to look at GiGi R patterns after the onslaught of GiGi parades this week, lol!
Hoping you are well, hear COVID numbers are rising there. Our numbers here in California USA have jumped to some of the highest across our country. Stay safe!
Maybe Brenda needs to give you marching orders like she does for Laura! Laurie at Seraphim is definitely still working and shipping, she has a Facebook page where she sells one-offs and the piece I bought last weekend has already shipped to me. Your projects are all amazing and I know what you mean about being overwhelmed by Maynia. I like new starts but not too many! I have several of your new Maynia starts in my stash and now I want to start them, especially the Reflets de Soire one with the peacock and the Kathy Barrick stocking!
Reecie, I'm working on Mary A Bunce at the moment on 56 count. It's the first time I've done anything on such a high count, but I absolutely love it and I'm probably about 150 years older than you. Lovely to hear your Aussie voice as I'm Australian and living in the UK. Can't wait for the Covid restrictions to be over so I can visit the Crewel Gobelin again. Do they stock any of the linens you use?
Love the linen you showed! Love everything you're stitching. I just might have to check out some more GIGI R charts. I'm working on Isabella Fox. It's such a beautiful sampler!
Loved seeing your update! My Maynia went off the rails this year when I started a sampler and haven't put it down since. Love the Gigi parade! I was making a list! LOL
Can’t wait to see your New IKEA all set up. Hope we could also see some of your beautiful framed samplers? You do amazing work! Love your videos. Think I will purchase Rheta Suggitt 1883...and thanks for enabling me..😉
Hi Reecie. Love your videos! Your work is amazing. I've also got Consider the Lilies on my want to stitch list - which is now longer after watching you video. Could you please share the name and maker of the fabric you are using for yours. I also love watching Nicole and her start on the Lillies sampler is beautiful. By the way I'm in Melbourne.
I swear, just wanted to add everything to my cart 😂 So enabling lol. Great progress on all your wips and new starts, so worry about the small starts, they look great. I have Elizabeth Biggs and am planning on starting it soon 😍
You are becoming an enabler for me! Now I “need” The Scarlett House’s Little Red Chair Sampler and at least one GGR. Oh well. My plan for not buying anything new this year went out the window months ago. I love your videos!
Reecie, you are an absolutely amazing stitcher. I love watching your videos. Can you tell me the fabric your stitching Manor at Quaker House, its lovely. Thank you
Thank you Muriel for your lovely comment, so glad you enjoy my videos. The fabric for Manor at Quaker Hill is 36 count Legacy by Picture This Plus. It is a beautiful fabric to work on as well :)
You are making some stunning pieces, delicious. TFS. Love Yvonne Leclerque, might have to do that one. And Hickerty Pickerty. And.....😂🤣🤭 Dare you to stitch the dictionary.......JOKING!!! Do the Gigr Welsh Sampler with birds on the 56 count maybe?
Reecie, I enjoyed a lot watching your videos. I laughed hearing you talking about so many colors on the GiGi R projects, hahaha. GiGi R samplers are gorgeous, I couldn't stitch while I watched your video. I had to stop and just watch you.😂😂😂 I think you could stitch the "Little Gems" from Hands Across the Sea Samplers on your 53 CT linen. They are beautiful and not big at all. Check them out on their site.😉 I've already stitched the Mary Stead 1824. Xoxo. Miriam
I love seeing all your beautiful stitches ! I was wondering if you could share the link for where you got your fabrics you showed at the end of this video? I especially love the peach tea and Dead Sea scrolls ! Thanks in advance! Becca !
I haven’t stitched with anything over 40 ct. Perhaps that new red sampler would be a good one to try as it looks as if it takes less colors. Great charts! I’ve tried three different linen colors from Seraphim and love them all! Hopefully it doesn’t become too popular and impossible to get. 🤞
You need to ask Brenda to be your Stitching Therapist. She ‘s good at providing marching orders. 😊. Side note, love stitching on Seraphina as well . Think it has a beautiful hand. ❤️❤️❤️
All your linen is wonderful ! Thanks for sharing all your stitchy progress.
Love all of your stitching. Very enjoyable video. Beautiful wips.
you are adorable, love your channel. we all stalk Nichole. thanks so much

I love stitching alphabets too!

I didn’t like it when I first stitched on it but when I went back to it I loved it for some reason. Mine was a small freebie piece from xjudesigns but I wasn’t keen on the yellow so I tea and coffee dyed it so who knows what count it turned out...I should count it one day 😂.
"I could stitch the dictionary," was the best line! I love your videos!
Oh my word that peacock start! I can't wait til you get to that floral border too!
I really enjoy your visits. You have all the projects that I’m too worrisome to start, so I really do love watching. And you finish them! 😁
Great job!!!!
I have been anxiously waiting for your video!! I’ve checked everyday. I love your work! Oh and hello from Alabama, US
Love your In My Garden.
Patricia
Thank you for a great video Reecie! I enjoyed seeing all your Gigi R!
Lovely video. Thanks for sharing. You’ve inspired me to start a sampler!
Wonderful video! I am looking forward to the haul. xx Michele
Great progress. Great projects. Thanks for sharing.
I would find a cute Halloween small to stitch on the 53ct to give it a try. Like a small Stacy nash or Scarlett house. You should see the smalls they have at the Attic that were done on 52ct etc gorgeous (I’m lucky to have the attic as my LNS).
That is a great idea! If I had The Attic as my LNS I would never leave!!! Also I would be bankrupt lol
Loved your video!
Great Video Reecie, your work is lovely. thank you so much!
I love love The Little Red Chair, yours is so beautiful. I finished the BBD In my Garden and love that sweet piece as well.
I loved your Gigi R Spectacular. I am working on one that no one has shown. It’s Elenora Cosci 1809. I need to get back to it!
😂 stitching life coach! That is so funny. I’m sure we all could use one.
You're adorable and your GG's are to die for. Blessings to you.
Love seeing all your needlework. I now need some GigiR.
Love the linen you showed! Love everything you're stitching. I just might have to check out some more GIGI R charts. I'm working on Isabella Fox. It's such a beautiful sampler!
You are an inspiration!!! Love your videos 💗
Love your GiGiR parade!
Loved your video...and all of them!! Ha Ha...I am stalking Nicole and got that Consider the Lilies fabric, too!! Isn't it yummy??
Loved seeing your update! My Maynia went off the rails this year when I started a sampler and haven't put it down since. Love the Gigi parade! I was making a list! LOL
Can’t wait to see your New IKEA all set up. Hope we could also see some of your beautiful framed samplers? You do amazing work! Love your videos. Think I will purchase Rheta Suggitt 1883...and thanks for enabling me..😉
I used vonnas tutorial on a drum. Very helpful. I really enjoyed it.
Miss seeing you, Reecie. Hope you are doing well.
Love all your starts. Beautiful patterns. A bit overwhelming in quantity, however. Good luck!
Another enjoyable video.
I'll be your life coach! Of course I want to be just like you so I'm not sure how helpful I would be. 😁
I am trying a 56 ct when it gets here. I ordered it off ebay
Hope youre doing well. We miss you
