Hi Steve... been 5 days of extreme and winds rains here in the mountains of central negros island.
@@junlab2612 Been terrible here also. I think where you are is even worse than us here in Dipolog. Stay safe
I believe it's 90 days before you need to do a conversion. It's really easy and without issue.
Different experience for me re bak accounts. Tried 3 different banks, each one said no because the ACR card was marked as Tourist. Was told that once I get my 13A visa and change the ACR card then I can open an account.
@@tobywebb6452 Hello Toby. Thanks for your comment. Can I ask was it recent? Here in Dipolog it's no problem. I think differant banks have differant policies. I opened one easy and also my friend did. But I've heard that some banks want that residency status to open one.
My fiancé son is going to college in Dipolog. His area is prone to flooding. I’m sure he is okay but it sure is nerve racking since I’m not there yet. I plan to retire in that area. Not in Dipolog proper. Still not sure until I’m there to look around.
@@toma1846 Yes Dipolog was flooded in the river areas. I think all else was okay there. Does he go to St Vincent's?
Yes he does. He is going into law enforcement. He already has family in that profession. Might be helpful in the future hahaha
@@toma1846 Yes for sure it will help. Here its who you know haha
Hi Steve i just had a dumb question and am curious about something. I've noticed in one of your videos it seemed to be a wild chicken running around. I've noticed tihs thing happening in other peoples youtube vlog. Once a chx was running around on their property in the province, it had two babies following it through the jungle it seemed. Is there a species of chicken that is wild over there? Much like we have wild turkeys in US...
There are what they call here native chickens, They all belong to someone here. How they know which one belongs to who is another thing haha.
@Philippinedreaming I was thinking their maybe to gamey tasting cuz all that exercise that no one wants 2 eat. Anyways thanks 4 the info!!!
@@RandallGlatt Yes to strong taste for me but the Filipinos love them.
How long can you use an international driver's license for in the Philippines.
@@michaelatoz580 for international license I think for 2 years before you need to convert.
Sorry to interject; A foreign national may use the international driver permit in the Philippines within its validity period (1, 2, or 3 years). The Land Transportation Office recommends a holder of an international driving permit to have his local driver's license at hand and ready to be presented in case an apprehending officer request for it.
Good luck and best regards /Ned
@@PhilippinesMyParadise I was just trying to point out that there are different drivers permits (DP) throughout the world. so, if you are not sure if you want to stay in the Philippines (PH) for extended time get international drivers permit (IDP) so you can also keep on traveling even if you retire in the Ph
@@PhilippinesMyParadise Thank you Ned for your comment., You are totally right. What i meant was a normal driving licence like mine frim the UK. With my license i could only legally drive here for upto 90 days before i needed to convert it. With an international driving permit its exactly what you said. Great comment Ned and i hope people reading it will get a better understanding of what i meant or should have said. Thank you Ned.
