- Let's enjoy this life. Less dramas and more love. I hear unhappy stories from vloggers about the Philippines almost everyday. If its that bad then I ask myself why are they still here.
If anyone would like to support our channel please feel free to do so. Much appreciated.

The content was absolutely brilliantly laid down.... just subscribed to your channel today. Cheers Steve !!
@@clive3001 Thank you Clive and pleased you enjoyed it.
You want a posttive experience in the Philippines just get on a jeepney and pay for entire bus run for everyone who gets on and off. For the most part its less than 500 peso but to see this simple act of kindness you will see just how much you make a difference in there life.. 30 pesos is nothing to most westerns but will bring a smile to all the Filipino on the jeepney you will make friends for life if you do things like this act of kindness. Dont be that guy that treats them like a peasant you are a guest in there house treat them with respect.
@@michaelatoz580 yes Michael for sure. I agree 100%
Many expat vloggers are from the cities and that's their point of view. Like you I am from the province and that's why my videos are upbeat and positive like yours. Because that's my experience
@@Ex-Pensive_Expat thank you for your positive comment. I often watch your channel. Great content my frieind
I just found this channel today and have been watching yours for a couple of months. I'm glad to have found both after a year or so of watching videos as they are the most aligned with what I'm looking for. Hoping to take a 6-12 months off work in the next year or two to try out living in the province (I'm still likely a long ways from retirement! But should be able to afford a decent trip)
@@DC-sr8qy Have a great time when you come here. Pleased you like the channels.

@@Bernardkevin. Thank you so much for your kind words.
My husband mentioned your vlog to me. I love the simplicity, balance and natural videos you make. Look forward to more vlogs of yours. Cheers.
I've just discover your chnnel today and i've watched already you video about cost of living in province in the Philippines. I am living here also with my filipina girlfriend since 2 years and half. I completely agree with you regarding a monthly budget for a simple but happy life. I am spending around 300 additionnal $ because i support my family 's girlfriend. Regarding your video "Philippine life from province i agree that in Philippines we have an happy life if our attitude are right. Filipinos are really friendly. I am not also looking specially to meet other expats. Many are drinking like crazy and complain regularly about Philippines for things who are not true.
Thank you for your message. Yes i agree with fully regarding many foreigners drink themselves crazy then talking down the Philippines. Not for me to mix with them. I love living here in the province much better than the city.
We should live as good neighbors and as good citizens.
Yes 100%. Totally agree with you.
I really love your Outlook on living in the Philippines. My wife and I are moving from newzealand to leyte next year and your vlogs give me inspiration.ive been there 3 times and love it and I accept the differences and embrace them.please keep up the great positive videos.
Thank you Wayne, I just tell my stories as i really see it here. Too many vloggers spreading bad content about the Philippines I know you will love it here. Leyte is a great place too. Stay healthy and well.
@@Philippinedreaming would be great if you could do a video sometime of your experience building your house there.cheers
@@waynemuschamp234 Yes Wayne i will do that for sure. Good idea
I retired in the Philippines. My wife was originally from the Philippines. Now she suffers from Parkinson's disease and needs a lot of care. I couldn't find a place in Switzerland where she would be properly taken care of. We live in the Province. Where we live I don't meet many expats. In tourist spots I can see a lot of them. There's usually a small group of male expats with grossly inflated egos discussing how they can max what they can get out of some meager pensions, always paranoid of being scammed by Filippinos. Often they are surrounded by a group of young Filippinas who discuss among themselves. I cannot relate to that kind of mentality. I'm embarassed by these people thinking they might ruin our reputation among Filippinos.
It’s a shame some expats act like that. You’re doing great by being respectful.
Shout out from belgium here may husband is happy to watch your vlog
Woww thank you so much.
You're such a blessing. Bless your heart, thank you. Certainly doing something right! And please mark the coconut zones - you give me the heebie-jeebies walking underneath those trees. Kind regards :)
Thank you, I will hahaha. Wear a helmet i think haha
I agree about positivity, and there's no better place to be for people being positive
Yes Matt 100%.
@mattgoodwin-king2228 exactly, I've spent 3 months there and have only experienced friendliness and hospitality.i think alot of the Americans complaining cannot accept its far different than America.i love the simplicity and slower pace of life and I feel happier and healthier there.
@@PhilippinedreamingStephen I found this channel... he's British... maybe you could check it out... similar content... Brits and Pinoy.

First time visitor to your channel. Love your vids and commentary. Am more of a city guy but a big part of me yearns for that closer to nature provincial life. May try it someday but have a feeling would get bored pretty quick and be back in the city after a week. 😄
@@weeooh1 yes it's not for all. I go to the city often for a few beers and to see friend there.
I agree with you we all just be happy😀

Most of the drama vblogers have only been in the philippines for 2 or 3 years thats not long enough time to get to know the philippines
Yes true John, Some even less time. I think some of them just like the drama as it creates views for them.
@@Philippinedreaming That's true I think it's for drama for views I also think that some need YT to be able to survive in the PH as they had no forward planning There is one that comes to mind who is the 2500 3000 you need but lives in a 80us room and his GF left makes ??????
@@john-yt1fmnothing wrong with living under your means and banking the surplus. I’m budgeting for double what I actually spend. Steve isn’t into that drama though, he has one of the more positive channels
@@chrissentman4878 I do the same have a budget but my expenses are lower so there is always surplus each month easy to do if you plan have a plan A and B I will be doing a YT channel when I do my third build give FULL info on the process not just we brought land now we build house I will show the offices and the paperwork you have to go through to get the permit number that's has.to be displayed on site
As for the drama channel I stop watching
I'm on my way to be there with my wife just outside a smaller city. Been watching a lot of negative content about the Ph cause I like to balance my excitement with some reality. But I've noticed almost all of them are basing their opinions on their experience in big or popular cities. Funny thing is, all the things they say about Manila or Cebu, worse can be said of Chicago, NYC, LA, etc.
Realistically, I won't be wanting to leave any time soon.
@@EnglishThisWay Hello and thank you for your comment. Yes it's true indeed. Many Expats gather together and have similar channels. I try and give an honest opinion and unbiased. I love the place and have never had trouble here. More chance of trouble in the UK these days.
To all expat or alien...stay cool you come herecas tourist dont preyend you own phils. Be kind stay away from fights relax just go selfwhere and respect ....
100% right. I totally agree with you.
What island are you on mate. I'm on the island of Leyte.
We are on Mindanao Kevin
Stay happy
Thank you SunRider, I will try and you also stay healthy and safe.
Good video I'm like you wanna stay away from all that but I would like to sit have a beer or coffee and decent conversation now and then haven't found that yet without a 30 minute taxi ride made plenty of pinoy friends who speak pretty good english but not the same keep up the good work you seem a intresting bloke 🤣 my attempt at Brit slang I have a brit friend I've had coffee with but have to ride ferry for that lol
Thank you Jerry, What island are you on?

You are wrong if you says you have no right in the Philippines as a foreigner,
In the Philippines YOU HAVE THE RIGHT IF YOU ARE RIGHT!
Yes in a perfect world your right for sure. But here i had a motorcycle accident and i was in the right. The police sided with the other Filipino guy all the way until i said check the CCTV footage outside the Municipal. The police suddenly changed their tune.
By the way, you look like Prince Phillip.
Woww i will take that as a compliment thank you.
vloggers do a great job telling people not to buy property in other people name because you can be scammed. this is what is bothering you
Its simple maths. You carry on renting and all that rent is dead money that is gone with nothing to show for it. At least building a place its ours and something to leave y son. Nothing is bothering me.
No bueno amigo..😳
General Tarkin? Is that you? Dont you report to Lord Vader? Lol
I may this afternoon hahaha
No province for me
I can be inconvenient at times
Why would you chose the province wS ot iconical
The land is cheaper the farther you go from the city
Your message was supposed to be about being positive and you spent the whole video talking Sh!t about other Vloggers.... hahahaha
Ummm really
Honest? You want honest? Start with you, you are a retiree, or you might be a tourist in the Philippines, but you are not an expat. Expat is a person employed in a foreign country who intends to return to their home country. So look at your visa, then state with honesty, what you are
I am working here. Also i am married to a Filipina with a permanent resident status. An expat or expatriate is simply defined as a person who lives outside their native country.
Gave us MORE fake news 🎉🎉😊😊
8:47 I agree with that, too. Most of the time, people in South Korea think the US or the UK is better to live in, which is mostly false
@@Bernardkevin. Very true indeed. The UK is a hard country to live in financially.
exactly american drama is for more fame and views , its all sbout show me the money
@@DaveD4v3 yes 100 % agree
You've got a common sense-sical / pragmatic approach 🙂❤️🦜🏵️🌿💚
Thank you so much. I try to have a common sense approach rather than an expectational approach as if i had lots of money. In reality we only need enough for the way of ife we choose to live. We are very simple in our outlook, I think thats why we are happy here.
Common sense ain’t that common these days, keep up the good work mate
