Cool stuff, great that you figured it out and got it working.

I would like to buy this bracket for the drivers side of my 1970 R.R. and any other parts other than clips you made for it. Thanks

Yeah, I couldn't find this rod on ebay when I needed one last year, so I made one. I just checked though, and you're in luck, there's one on ebay right now for you. And looking at that ebay listing, it turns out my passenger side rod (the one I copied when I made the driver's side) was home made as well, and not factory like I thought, so now I've got two homemade rods, one in each door. They work just fine, but look at the photo of a real factory rod in this ebay listing, and you can see it's a lot beefier than what I'm running in my car:

That rod can be installed in either door, and he only wants $15 for it. The way the hobby is going lately, I'm happy when anything is 15 bucks. Clean off the surface rust, buy a new pair of clips for it, and you'll be good as new. When you install it, just remember the short end is up, and the long end is down, like in 2:24 of my video. In the ebay listing's single photo, the short end is on the left, and the long end is on the right. If you install it upside down like I did, it won't clear the lock rod that's right next to it, again, 2:24 shows it after I installed it the right way. Good luck!
