I’ve taken a few deer from brush blinds over years. Quite an experience versus my normal ladder stand stuff. I remember the closets one was a huge 8 point at 13 yards in a howling wind. He had zero clue I was there in tha wind. I was just about ready to leave that hunt in a few minutes as it was getting late and I had been there over 3 hours and was mighty chilled out.
that's awesome honestly I've had good, and bad luck with brush pile blind. Some deer will totally avoid them because coyotes will hunt them for mice or live in them. Just depends but most of the time they are amazing ambush spots thanks.
Ahh Yes I was going to update long story short he was kill during second gun season . We lost quite a few big bucks this season ohh well on to the next one thanks for following along shed season videos coming up 😀

Wow-exciting hunt!! Sometimes that's what it takes. Fortunately he stayed out in that field for you, even coming closer for that third shot. Perfect ground blind. I'm almost strictly a ground hunter and I love finding those brush piles to set up in/around.

Probably not lethal low brisket and existing offside leg definitely take the follow up shot if you have it ,
