If you already have a FCC Mini 2 do you still need to do that setup every time you boot the drone? Or is it only for people with mini 2 outside North America?
Only for people out side of the US. You would only need to run the NFZ and Altitude removal hack and can ignore the FCC hack - But do it anyway, you might travel one day and then you atleast have the option to enable it.
I have question, why did you re click on the FCC mode a second time for? Is that required, and what is FCC mods is specifically is it the same thing as remove altitude limit and nfz?
I clicked on it just because I was talking about it. If the FCC option is selected and you apply the mod, you'll get fcc mode. Remove alitude and nfz is seperate mod. You want everything. There is no reason not to have all the mods. :)
If I understand correctly, updating the dji Fly app does not ruin the hack? Reason for asking is, if you buy a new phone and download the APK, it's going to be the latest version I assume.
Yes, the current version of the Fly app is supported. Just ignore all firmware update messages after doing the hack.
Just got the DJi Mini 4K it's basically a slightly upgraded 2 SE. I'm wondering if this mod will work,
Mini 4k was just released. So not supported yet. Keep an eye on the birdmap since the Mini 4k is just a rebranded Mini 2, there might be support for it soon.
i used drone hacks to downgrade my mini 2 se and it failed said re try and now my drone red light is flashing and the two mini white led light are on ????? im stuck and dont know what i done wrong please help
Did you flash to stock firmware again? (baiscally, reset it to default) - Once you've done that you can re try the mod. Remember you must have dji assistant 2 for consumer drones installed and the dronehacks driver. Remember to restart afterwards and turn off your antivirus.

Regarding the instructions at 6:42, if I follow the rear button instructions with my Mini 2, I do get the flashing red light and the FCC transmission indication on my app. However when I do not activate the hack and instead turn on the drone normally without using the rear button, I still get the FCC transmission indication on both Android and iOS. Do you know if this is normal behaviour? Thanks!
Are you in the US? If the controller shows you are in FCC mode then you are. Very cool
@@InfinityDrones I’m in a CE country but it’s no worries, their support told me the DJI app is a bit unreliable and as long as I remember to activate I’ll get fcc!

App for android only gives you fcc, if you want all the mods you need to use those process as per the video.

There is nothing new in the latest firmware. It's just dji trying to block the mod. Downgrade to the recommend version, you won't loose anything.

No you won't. Just don't update the firmware of the drone.
Biggest mini 2 news in a long time. Kept a spare on 01.05 and it applies the hack just fine. Bought another license for cheap back during the new years sale when they were offered waiting for this very moment
And its a shame too- mini 2 is going away in favour of the inferior mini 2se. Buy em used now

@@UkzMavic sorry to year that you feel that way, but honestly I think the price is fair for all the development work and drones that were bricked to make this hack / mod possible. If you take it as a percentage of the value of your drone then it's usually less than 10%. For the bigger drones the blue is even better.

That's not accurate. They're offering permanent FCC, NFZ removal and height limitation. U don't need the DH Companion app though ❤️
@@Teflonfilmare you don't need the DH app at all. This mod is on the drone and you can can use the latest version of the dji fly app too.

@@Teflonfilmare the only way to activate it on the mini 2 is by following that process. I was told there is something limiting it physically and that's why you need to press the button to activate it.
Thanks for this video buddy. I have been using the drone tweaks app for a while now but having recently upgraded my phone to the s23 it is no longer compatible 😢. I like the idea of this hack as it is a one off payment isn't it?.Just have to try and borrow a laptop that has Windows 10 as mine is only on Windows 8 pro 😂. If I use a friends laptop do I only have to use it once then everything will be on my drone ? Can I revert it back to stock if I ever needed to ? . Hi there, yes it's a one time payment that links to your drones serial number and is not transferrable. You do need a windows 10-11 pc for this and yes once it is done you are set. Just don't ever update your firmware unless you want to go back to stock. (so reverting is easy) - in most cases you can just downgrade and do the mod again but there is a chance that dji releases a new firmware that is not downgradable. Thats why I recommend to just never update - if it aint broke don't fix it. If you think dji will bring out new features for an older drone... you're sadly mistaken. So just dont update.

Hi there! The mini 2 requires the button to be pressed everytime to enable fcc. This way you can confrom to local laws when you want to :P

You can go into the paremeter settings, but honestly... just ignore it - Its not like the old Go4 app days where the warning showed while flying. It only shows at the login screen.

This mod is permanent and you do not need to do anything before flight. You just need to purchase the license and follow the instructions on my dronehacks 1.31 video.

Why do you want to update? Just don't - as per my other videos. Just never use the DJI Fly app and you'll never be forced to update.

The mini 3 and Mini 3 pro cannot be unlocked. You can only unlock FCC mode using the Dronehacks mobile app

No it does not...
is there a legal requirement for DJI to put those limits? if not, then instead of hacking we should not buy a limited thing if competition can offer an unlimited drone.
There is no legal requirement for DJI to do it. They just do it as a "safety feature". Other brands like Autel, Skydio, Parrot, Hubson, etc do not have any of these restrictions except hight limits that vary from 500m to 800m from take off hight. So basically, it's only dji thats got limits... I agree, support Autel etc... but DJI has about 70% of the market and their products are REALLY good compared to others.
Its against their TOU if you read the activation before you press it....
They don't like the hacks circumventing their NFZs

The mod must be done on a PC. After the mod has been done you can use any device you wish.

Hi there. Thank you for the support! The battery warning will come up if the drone calculates that it will only be able to get back and land at 20%. I'm guessing you're quite far out when you get a battery warning at 50%. There are parameters you can change in dronehacks to change the battery warning behavior

@@InfinityDrones I would really like to take that warning off! because I work with zipline videos, sliding over steel cables which is very common here in Brazil, and whenever this warning comes the drone stops and I can't resume to follow the person, this is my job and I can't go wrong with it where do I get my income from, selling drone videos in zip lines

Yes it will work. You can also check the birdmap on the dronehacks site. But basically the mini 2 SE is the same as the mini 2 with a few items disabled.

@InfinityDrones like no limit drones and drone-hackz have a custom FC for the mavic pro 1st gen only. So for all the other drones we use the standard gldji gofly app?? Been awhile since i used a drone. Last one i had was alpine white pro 1st gen with custom app and software mod . I am confused as to what app we use to control

Mini 3 is not supported. You can still get official firmware, but if you update you will loose the mod and have to downgrade and redo the mods to get it back.
Who cares about updates. I'm still on the 3rd update bc dji messed up the mini 2 bc it was competing with the 2s 2 years ago. They limited alot of junk and power.

the hack only for 2023 to 2030,not infinite
It will be extended, but at the same time... I highly doubt you'll still be flying the same bird in 2030, since the license is linked to the drone's serial. But you do not need to worry, 2040 will be the next certificate refresh/update when it gets closer to 2030 :)

not much useful, mini2 is too light to fly over 500m it might gets blown away by the wind
Not at all, check out UAV forcast and also if you're in the mountains on a clear day you can easily go up to 1km without any wind issue. Often on UAV forcast you can see the wind is less at 1000m than on 40m

Yes, I always pay using my credit card. If you're not sure how that works you can check my previous dronehacks videos and just scroll to the payment options. I think my dronehacks 1.26 video shows it step by step. But really, its at the checkout page - just select the Stripe option and the pop appears. I use VISA but any should work.

Sad you think so. Remember the devs need to buy multiple drones to Crack the firmware and they brick many drones in the process. If you feel the price is unfair then you can gladly try and find any other option out there for cheaper.

if you can do it for free, please let me now and I'll punt your way instead. This is by far the easies and safest way to unlock your drone. Remember, you dont have to unlock your drone.
