    Great job Lance. I found it interesting to see how you made it all happen again. I was glad to follow your instructions ages ago and get my old MF 30 going. Great job. Thank you. Good luck.

      I seem to do a lot of these but I only filmed this one as it was a different brand of tractor, still very similar.

      @@BundyBearsShed it sure is ! My massy sat for a year and was running great what parked now it won’t start and has no spray out of the line ports , I took the top cover off make sure everything was moving and bled it a few times and still no good ! I do believe it’s an air issue though !

    Good Video again Lance, after becoming an expert watching your first video back 8 odd years ago. I have found it's much better to push the throttle shaft out of the top cover and fit the lever, spring, and the governor plate then when ready to fit the cover push the throttle shaft back in the hole. Also, when repairing a top cover fuel leak, I do the same thing, as I remove the top cover, I push the throttle shaft out of the cover so it stays connected to the spring and governor plate so you can now see which hole it all goes in and take a photo. Cheers Richard Kovac

      Yes I have tried that and it went ok but I never seem to remember when I have the camera rolling, stuck in my ways probably.

    G Day Lance, thanks very much for explaining the symptons of the incorrect spring settings, when I did my pump after watching your MF video's I lost the spring position as it came away before I could look in, the plate on the pump doesn't have that number on mine, so like you I looked for witness marks and rebuilt with what looked right, but next time I start the tractor I'll be more aware of the rev range and engine performance, great video as usual. many thanks
    Barry

    Brilliant video Lance used your videos to do a complete reseal of our DB 990 but now we get a lot more smoke without touching the calibration. We had been very careful to make sure the spring was in the correct holes. 😢

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  7 месяцев назад

      Black smoke or white smoke. Without touching the roller plate inside it will be getting the exact same amount of fuel, do you think the timing is correct? If black is your air cleaner nice and clean and the inlet hose is not sucking in at all?

      Hi Lance. Thanks for that we stripped and cleaned out the oil bath air cleaner awhile ago. The problem wasn't the injector pump. We changed the lift pump that caused the problems running lean. The black smoke is because it is now getting the correct amount of fuel. I saw today when it is warm the smoke has gone😊

      Hello Lance. You inspire confidence in a world where even my mechanic mates wouldn’t go. For 2k to hand it to the local ‘professionals’ i gave it a go. Got to your second video with my unit almost rebuilt and saw that sir clip in my parts box. My MF 50b with 4 cylinder Perkins must have had scope for timing? Anyhow since the backhoe was in the 2021 flood the sir clip was removed to be sure it was cleaned out. If you can point me to a video that points me to info on its placement, i would appreciate it.
      Also in video 1 you spoke about the wear on the veins and I decided to remove mine. Unfortunately damaged 1. Noticed they are not in that sparex kit. I opted to use a ultrasonic cleaner and no bead blasting. As soon as I pull the unit apart and find a place for the sir clip i should be in business. Thanks again, andrew
