Thank you so much for your videos David. I run an Art class for people with mental health. We never use words like garbage or failure. Every piece they do is a work of Art. Your piece looks great. You do an amazing job well done 👍. ❤
Amazing! If you feel that you will get better with practice, I believe you but I can’t see how this could get better. Make sure you share that with us, please! As always, Thank you for your insight as the professional artist that you are 👨🎨
Always share such great info with us!! I have tried something very similar with the same not so appealing results! Very interesting with the dots and spoon slashing, I actually love that look you are creating!! With the right colors and practice i think i can achieve the look I was going for now thanks to watching you gensisness!! Thank you for always sharing!! Love this btw!!
Looks like fun. I used to do string art when I was younger and I don't have the patience for that anymore, and I'm afraid I wouldn't have the patience for this either. Turned out nice!
I forgot to mention, most videos I have watched are fun to watch, but I haven't seen any of them to explain details. Like you I said surely I can do that . I most likely would not have continued watching had it not been for you
David a fantastic video and technique, the style of this painting is beautiful. Although you may consider this a practice piece there is definitely things to like about it. I honestly have been wanting to do eye painting for a while now with the hairdryer, but you have piqued my interest. Going to get to work on this, I will share and tag. You already know how awesome you are, keep up the great work.
Those are the colors I’m trying to make work together. Not the technique but a swipe and I just don’t like the white background so I’ve scraped it off 3 times already! If this was hard for you, I dare not try it. I do like it though . Pretty cool.
Very nice! Thank you for a great tutorial. I enjoyed your comments during the process and how you improved some aspects as you went along. Well done! I remember you mentioning a plastic round protection (kind of a pool) for your spinning that prevents the paint from splattering all over the place. Do you mind sharing it again please? Thank you in advance.
Try keeping it simple. If you want it to look like an eye choose eye colours... you can always expand on that when you have one in the bag. Failing that i like your end result... it's different 😃
I probably would have given up had it not been for you teaching in explixix details. Even showing how to set up a paint studio. Mixclng colors with paint wheel. I do need advice on the spin wheel to purchase. Also type dryer and heat/air gun. You probably have a video on the subject. I did to small pours. They came out pretty good. The next 2 were flops. I did get that cheap dollar paint. Some I haven't opened. They are being returned. Again Thank you and good job...Teacher.
I would get the magenta cyan and yellow wheel like this one from Amazon amzn.to/3scYP4K. As for the torch/heat gun I have a blog post about the different types and the ones I use here - leftbrainedartist.com/best-torches-for-acrylic-paint-pouring/
I think you did an amazing job actually. The only thing that would make it look better perhaps is a round canvas, but I think all in all you pretty much cracked it.
It is in the very center. There is not much force on it. The paint also acts like glue and the air trapped inside created a vaccum which adds a little more hold strength. Everything was in 2x speed so I wasn't really spinning that very fast at all.
That's really cool! And it's true, lots of stuff turns out to be much more challenging than we expect
So true.
I think your first try was cool too. There is no failure in art!
Only lessons learned. I agree.
That would be supremely cool as a clock face 😎👍
I have a bunch of rounds I am going to do this on for sure.
Mii Paintings also has amazing eye paintings!!!
Love this! ❤
Have a beautiful day!
I second Mii Paintings. Her eyes.look very realistic.
Yes she does. She does a lot of traditional painting techniques to make them and I am not quite ready to tackle that. Love Veronica's work.
Love watching David experiment for our benefit. Thank you 🎉
Thanks so much Anne.

I need to try this again. Love the eye pours that some artist have done.
You have really grown in your painting skills! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much Lorraine. I love to practice. 😊

@@LeftBrainedArtistand I greatly appreciate you for that
Very nice! Sometimes you don’t know how it’ll turn out, you just have to have fun with it😊
Absolutely!!

Patience is definitely not my strong suit.
Ok… now the dragon is really coming together… “ in my head at least “ lol fingers crossed! I’m almost done planning!
Can't wait!

Thanks Melonie. I try to make most of my videos instructional juts for that reason.
This is so cool. I'm going to need to try this.
You should for sure Shana.
Wow Dave, i love this! Thank you for sharing this artists talent and showing us how we might replicate it. Youre the bomb!
Thanks so much. lots of work still for me but we are getting closer every time.

What a great idea for retaining a center negative space. I was trying to come up with a good way to do it and spotted your video. Thanks David.
Glad it was helpful Cheryl.

IT S LOOK AS YOU ARE DOING A DOTING MANDALA. LOVE IT. I AM GOING TO TRY TOMORROW. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

Looking good, I use a similar technique using old vinyl albums.
Great idea!
This is sooo cool ! Another great video. I think I have watched all of your videos, at least a couple of times. Thank you.

Cool. 😊
Thanks Fiona.
Your colors and composition are beautiful! I really love it! Have you tried using swipes!
I have done a few. I need to cut down some really thin strips to do them with.
Gorgeous
Wow! This is very nice. :)
Thank you very much!
Wow this is great👍🏻
Thanks Josie. Not quite what I was expecting but we are getting there.
I like it!
Thanks Jeannie.
Awesome!!!
Thanks Dani.
Awesome thanks for sharing
My pleasure Nilda.
I like it a lot, my hand is not steady enough to keep the circles even. Well done
My weren't that steady either.

Trust me, I totally understand. That blue juts didn't do it for me.

I watched Molly recently using a colander for a metallic pour... and it reminded me of an eye before it went south lol

Yup, don't want to waste those on practices. I have a bunch of round to use once I have perfected them.
How does the cup not go flying off
