    Both paintings are beautiful but so different from each other. They even looked drastically different when you changed camera angles. That is so fascinating to me! I don't know if its just me or your color pallet, or something I haven't even thought of. But what ever it is it pretty cool! I'm really curious to see what color pallet you choose for the big piece. All the colors I put down first or actually basecoat, this was just a little bit different application.😁👍

  • @cnbconnectionsartstudio
    @cnbconnectionsartstudio 8 месяцев назад

    Wonderful Sara. After our conversation this morning about just playing and experimenting, I loved watching this. Interesting that not all of the base coat blues had a strong pearl reaction. Was this intentional in the amount of 7300 you added? Or was It just that those paints ended up not being strong pearl reacting colors?

    • @SaraTaylor
      @SaraTaylor  7 месяцев назад

      Hi babe, just seeing this comment. It was fairly intentional… It was just kind of a playful and weird way of putting the paint down. All the base coats have the enamel, but I wasn’t really spreading other paints on top, honestly just kind of goofing around to see if the colors were together… 😂

    hi sara! as always thank you so much dor sharing your experience and creativity with us! i am having trouble with my pearls breaking apart/fracturing, especially around the edges of my canvas. 😢 is my paint to thin? any help would be much appreciated!

    • @SaraTaylor
      @SaraTaylor  8 месяцев назад +1

      It’s possible it’s a bit too thin, what are you using for your cell activator?

    • @justbeeyourself
      @justbeeyourself 8 месяцев назад

      @@SaraTaylor hm, i wasn't using a cell activator. i used your recipe for the basecoat (new white w/ apple barrel exactly, dark basecoat recipe with behr satin enamel untinted and artist loft black soft body) and it happened on both which is why i'm pretty sure it's my puddle paints and not the basecoat. the pearls came through great but the paint on top didn't didn't hold up. for my puddle paints i've been doing about 1pt paint to 1pt us floetrol, a dash of liquitex pouring medium, a dash of gac 800, and water to thin if needed.

  • @danapowers2102
    @danapowers2102 8 месяцев назад

    Im fairly new to fluid art and i noticed that your paints looked very thin. Were they mixed w water or do you have a "special sauce" that you use? Thx. Beautiful work. So serene.

    • @SaraTaylor
      @SaraTaylor  7 месяцев назад

      It’s an effect achieved by using a very thin basecoat with satin enamel in it. I have a really great paint Mixing video that might help answer some questions.
