I still have yet to try the hairdryer style seeing as I have no hair and don't own one lol, but awesome video my friend. Oh yeah, I finally got that floor tile backing to work, took some weights and time!
😍after 2 weeks seeing your pouring videos, i have done my first pouring this morning on a 8x8" canvas board.. i have used a "mars black" (liquitex) on background and 3 metallic colors (folkart) with same part of pouring medium (liquitex), all added successively in the same diagonal lines (blow perpendicularly with a mini usb blower).. naturally, i have done my fluidity tests before and water added for to be equal.. just for to say that your videos have helped me a lot and my result is truly nice!!! ❤
Beautiful color combinations❤. Thank you, you make it look so easy, will try it in the New Year for the first time. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Greetings from Eagle Mountain, UT
Amazing!! I love all the color combos you used! I’m just starting the fluid art adventure and love your down to earth informative videos as well as ones like this where you just create and let the paints do the work. As I gather all the tools and paints I need to continue this journey, I’ve been on the quest for a small hair dryer. I’ve already ordered 2 of them on Amazon and both wound up just too big! What kind is this small one you are using? Is it on Amazon? Thanks in advance… I look forward to ALL your videos! 😍😍
@@LeftBrainedArtistsuperbe ce serait sympa de nous décrire le nom des couleurs que vous mettez et petite question : vous diluez la peinture avec quoi ? Médium ou eau ? Merci😊❤
Hi, I’m new here 👋 Have you already made a best practices and learning video for hair dryer blowing technique? I love the way you tell and teach and would love to see learning vid from you. Ps. Beautiful artwork ❤️
Great work David, I really enjoy your tutorials and tests they really help newbies. Can you please tell us what colours you used. Also what was the ratios, paint to medium ?
@LeftBrainedArtist well then I have no idea what I'm doing wrong because there is no definition and all the colors are just going together. I don't get any wispy lines or anything.
I want to ask between a fire torch and a heat gun, which one is essential? I am a beginner and a new subscriber to your channel. I have learnt alot just watching your videos. Thank you
I’m trying to increase the density of the Amsterdam paint that I mixed with Olga Soby high density pouring medium. I’ve mixed in extra paint but it still doesn’t sink below the Pebeo paints, no cells are ever created as in your demonstration here. Besides Golden Soft Gel Gloss, what will increase the paint density? Owatrol? Floetrol? Silicone? All 3? Thank you!
Ah. Sorry about that. Usually I mix two parts medium to 1 part paint to about half part of water. But mostly when I drizzle the paint off my stick it integrates immediately without making mounds upon mounds @@USAF_Bride
Thanks so much. I finally found a large hair dryer I like but it's to much for small projects. I hate buying to try and then it doesn't work. By the way I loved your beginner paint pouring classes to get the basics down. I always come to your site when I need the more techinical side of things explained. Your explanations are very clear and the examples good. Basics should always be about the rules, then when you get better you know what rules to break.
Oh, and on my large hair dryer I had to make my own concentrator. I made it using an aluminum disposibal baking pan and duct tape. It's the perfect size. I can also adjust the concentrator width to be more open or closed as needed. It's great. I got the idea froma AB Creative.
Ok got another question, I did a pour the other day and just when I thought it was safe to move it I kind of tilted it and the paint moved and messed it up, so I thought no problem I just paint over it. Well I did, all was looking good until his morning when I got up to check on it I got all these holes in my painting so now got to trash my canvas. What happened was it air bubbles that caused it?
Depends on the quality of paint. For craft paint (paint:medium) 1:1 then water to a thin consistency (barely makes a mound and disappears). For student level acrylic 1:2 plus water. For high quality paitn more like 3+:1 plus water.
@@LeftBrainedArtist I know. It's art but it's also a constant experiment. No 2 pours are alike. The only thing I don't like is seeing something interesting going on and then it changes when it dries. I like that you emphasize the importance of a level drying surface. Rookie mistake.
They all look awesome, but I think my favorite is the first one, because I love blue
Me too Mary. Love the ocean colors.
Love the color choice. Makes a difference than the normal wave.
Thanks. I wanted to try something different on that one.
They all came out super cool 👍
Thanks so much Randi.
Love the one that looks like a wave. Would be awesome in ocean colors!
Thanks Amy.
And a happy Saturday to you, David! Hope your holidays are merry and bright!

Thanks for the update. A hair dryer is definitely a tool to have in your arsenal.
Nice, I like the dark blue backgrounds!
Thanks Chris. Those dark colors really make a great background.

Merry Christmas to you too Ellen. I've think I've told you this before but I am in West Jordan, UT.
Thank you and yes you did
Haven't tried the hair blow yet. I guess I need to just jump in. Love them.
They are fun . . . and a bit messy Debbie.
Thought the colors on all of them were great, the composition of the last one really stood out for me. Thanks for sharing your art!
You are so welcome Dave.
WOW! Love the colors and the technique. I'm going to practice this at home. Thanks, David
Have fun Anne.
Beautiful results as usual. You make it look so easy. Thanks David.
Definitely a lot of blood sweat and tears (mostly tears) in learning to pour.
@LeftBrainedArtist Yes you did.
By the way, loved the paintings you made in this video!
Thanks so much!
Love them all! ❤
Thanks Donna.

Very calming, David! I'm not used a voiceless video of yours, but awesome job they all look great!
Thank you kindly! Trying something different during these hectic holidays.
Very nice!
Thanks Tara.
Just saw your silicone video. Didn’t realize it weighs less than paint. That video does give me some ideas though. 😊

I have the videos in the description that each show how they were made.
Very beautiful. What is the smallest canvas you can use with a blowout?
You can use any canvas. I normally use my mouth for anything smaller than 8x8.

@@esthertosin1794 I don't have a course yet although I am working on one. I do have a community at community.leftbrainedartist.com.
Thanks for your help. Also, can i paint over a year old painting?
Yes you can! Just make sure you clean it really well.
When you lay the paint down, the colors in the middle, how long do you let them set before using the dryer?
There is no time frame. I normallly use the dryer within a few minutes of laying down the last color.

Amsterdam is about as dense as it gets. Something else must be going on.
Do you mix your paints differently for this type of pour? Newbie here! 😁
Yes I frequently use different brands of paints for my paintings.
@@LeftBrainedArtist sorry, I meant how do you mix your paints for this type of pour?

The exact same paint as the other colors. Same mix and consistency.
