@hawkpaul8735 metalics will always be thinner because of the type of pigment. Mixing your metalics a bit thicker than the rest of your paints will keep that color separation. If metalics are too thin, they make a shiny haze over the other colors. If you're going for that, great! If you'd rather more disinclined, make the silver a bit thicker! Like if all your paints have a 2 count trace, make the silver a 3 count trace!
David, I am a true beginner. I have never done acrylic pouring before but once. I really don't know what I'm doing. What pour is a good one for a total beginner like me? I wanted to try a Dutch pour, but someone said it was a harder pour to try with the hairdryer. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
I am new to this technique and out of the hundreds of other videos I’ve watched no one has explained this in such detail like you did. Thank you so so so much.
I wish this video had been around when I first started. I watched loads of videos but nobody was as helpful as you are. A phrase I heard a lot was 'make your paint the consistency of warm honey'. As I'd never seen warm honey it meant nothing. Your mound upon a mound etc was much more logical to hear. Thanks for everything you've done David. I'm sure this video will help people new to the hobby.

Thank you very much for all those tips and advice. I went and bought my apron. Will be checking your other videos. Love your explanations. Easy to understand.
I bought all this paint on TEMU …before doing my homework…so (1) this title speaks to me and my friend (we’re both 77 yr old widows)- we did ONE pour & it was awful. Paints wouldn’t mix, consistencies too runny, etc. So we’ve been binge watching videos instead jumping back into pouring. You are a terrific teacher (love the “why”). Funny side note, we thought you were saying “Crap paints”. We agreed that’s probably what we have…crap paints.😂 Then we realized you were saying Craft paints!😮😅 Love u - Nancy & Linda
Thank you very much for your videos. You are a wonderful teacher. I just turned 83 years old and decided to do something different. I bought my canvas and tools and started to pour. I made some big mistakes and then I found you. I am watching all your videos now. This has been probably two months since I started. Now I am pausing and learning the right way. However, when I show to people what I already painted they love them. So, that encourage me to learn more and do it right. Thanks again.
Just a friendly tip, if you put the paint (the thickest) into the cup first then the glue (the second thickest) , mix them, then add the water (the thinnest) into that a little at a time you'll have an easier time emulsifying them.

I'll show you my first pouring. Thanks again! God bless you! Here we go! 😊👍👌
Unbelievably, I had never heard of or seen any acrylic pour paintings before, and I'm 69 years old! Fortunately for me, l stumbled across one of your videos the other day and l was instantly hooked. I've just ordered my first couple of canvases and some paints and l can't wait to start painting. Thank you for inspiring an old bloke to paint again after so many years.😊
This by far is the best video out there for beginners who are ready to pour! Really appreciate all the helpful tips and everything I need to get started!
You are not just a great teacher, David, but such a sweet guy. I love learning from you. I also need to know the why of things as it helps me to retain what I've learned. I really appreciate all you do and your encouragement.
This is absolutely the best video for beginners or anyone on YT for pouring. Your information, presentation abd demonstrations are invaluable. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. It is anazing.
I am very new to pouring acrylic coin and I am so glad I watched this video you have really helped me with the mixing process. I appreciate you very much and I have subscribed and will continue to watch your videos. Have a blessed day. Bye-bye.
I am loving your channel! Even though I’m only 2:20 mins in, I AM SO GRATEFUL for your approach to the - what seems like rocket science! I need step by step and WHY! Thank you for even saying that! Ok I’m gonna get into it (your video) now. Xoxo🤗
This is the third video of yours I have watched you have great teaching delivery and I have spent a small fortune on different flow improvers etc and still no cells was going to give up but will keep watching your advice.👍
Thank you for this. I need to rewatch and take notes. One of my big questions is what to use as a pouring medium. There are so many variations out there. I will start with paint, a jar of pouring medium and water. I have all of that and a TON of different paints. Tammy also has great videos but again, so many different recipes. I will have more questions as I go along. I have to get started!
Start with glue or floetrol. Tons cheaper than other mediums and once you master that you can move to the more expensive ones or adding different mediums together.
Do you have a Patreon account? This is the most informative essential video for anyone trying this medium for the first time. You are an outstanding teacher . I highly recommend your videos to any student young or old . You cover many if not all of the possible frustrating problems a student might encounter which in turn encourages the student to keep trying. I plan to watch all your videos on every technique first- saving time, tears and money. Simply amazing.
I’m a “traditional” artist. I’ve worked in oils and acrylics for years - ever since poor health sabotaged my IT career. Mostly landscapes with a foray relatively recently into abstract work. My daughter asked me a few weeks ago if I could do a large painting for her & her partner’s bedroom. She wants something either “ocean swirls” or “space/galaxy”. I’d watched pouring videos a few years ago and tried a few little pieces but didn’t really have the space to set something up to handle the mess. My husband told me a couple of weeks ago that I should have said something and promptly created a space for me in the utility room with a plastic lined wooden tray he built from scrap wood. I’ve been watching you and a few other artists and every few days trying a different technique on small 9x12 canvases. Thank you for explaining the reasons behind various things, like why you layer colours in specific ways etc. I”ll keep practicing and keep watching for more inspiration and knowledge.
Your methodical approach to acrylic pouring is a fusion of art and science that I love about your videos. I have too many other hobbies to start up acrylic pouring. But, your videos provide information and tips that are also helpful for other craft applications using acrylic paints and/or mica pigments. 😀
Wow!! This is one of the most informative acrylic pouring videos I have ever watched. You have got an amazing way of explaining everything in a way that makes things less intimidating. I can’t wait to get started. Thank you.
David you are a godsend. Thank you so much for this video, because this tutorial is well needed for beginners, such as myself. Most of the designers make it seem as if no prep is needed before you start. You answered all questions that beginners need to know… And I thank you for that. This was very helpful, you explained everything to a T. Well done.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for this clear video for mixing up the colors the right way. I just made my first pour with water. Terrible but I’m just beginning 😃. Much thanks from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 greetings Marian
Thank you!! I needed that message tonight… To get off my a*s & go do a painting tonight! It’s been so long & I’ve been hanging to so I’m gonna finish this quarter pounder watching ur video & off I go.. Wish me luck!! lol 🎉😂❤
Thank you so much for your videos…They are so easy to understand and follow because you explain everything as you go and don’t keep secrets about how you accomplish your techniques! I had been trying for two years to get cells to my satisfaction and became so frustrated that I stopped painting all together….all the other artists just added to my frustration….but now after watching your videos, I’m ready to begin again and feel more confident that I will be happy with my efforts! Thank you again David! From a tired old lady….😂…..Peace!! Out!! 🌹
I watch and listen to your full video then, I summarize them and list down on a paper the step by step procedure in my simplest terms. Thank you so much. The best tutorial video. You're generous with information.
@@LeftBrainedArtist yesterday night i stumbled over this technique again and just had an epiphany that i wanted to do this for the rest of my life ✨️💖 i was just so touched by the beauty of it.. all my life i have been an artist, from the day i first picked up crayons when i was a child.. i always knew in my heart i wanted to create beauty and share it with the world.. and to a certain degree i always did.. creativity is in my veins.. but never have i found something that touched me so deep within . Usually it was just a spirr of the moment excitement.. this however when i found it again yesterday.. got to my soul.. tears of joy ran down my face and i thought to myself, man THIS is it. I never felt like this about any kind of art other than music. - this evening i stumbled over your channel by finding the video about combining colours (transparent and opaque) .. which i loved, cause as much as i looove it.. im logical about it and wanna know the how's and why's.. and in this Video u said the exact same thing kn the intro ☺️ that really resonated with me. Thanks for offering your help to All of us, i think thats just very kind.. artists should help other artist, cause it makes the world a more beautiful place :) Sorry for this long message but i guess it wanted to be said :)) I ordered everything i need yesterday (colours, canvas and so on i always have at home .. but the rest i immediately ordered, i cant wait for the postman ✨️😅 i feel like a lil child waiting for Christmas 🤗😇)
@@spiritfiyuh11 This is so similar to my story. I always wanted to be artistic but never could find a way to show it. I was hooked that second I saw pouring on social media.
@@LeftBrainedArtist that is beautiful!! :) thank you for sharing your Videos, it's a lot easier when you know what you need and some do's and dont's.. so its not just some expensive trial and error 😅 Thanks David 🍀
I've been quasi attempting to learn for a few years. Tonight your videos helped me figure out things what I've been doing wrong and I hadn't been able to learn for years 😂🤯🤯 thank you so much 🎉
@ it’s the left brain energy you bring!! When you introduce yourself that way you hooked me🪝 1) I couldn’t figure out why my paint pours out zig zaggy. When watching other videos their paint flows out in straighter, smoother lines. You taught my that my paint has been too thick. I was concerned it was too thin or that my hands are too shaky 😂🙏 2) My paint wasn’t moving when blowing it. Just rippling.
This is an EXCELLENT video, and your narration is perfect! I have been painting for over 20 years and started pouring many years ago by trial and error with a lot of waste. this is a game changer for those who are just starting out. I love your teaching method!
Wow!!! Loved this video! I am also a left brained person and finally someone understood this about a lot of us. Everything in a logical organized reasoned way. Thank you so much. After watching my first video with you, my head is not spinning with, “what if I do it wrong” and all those other insecurities.
Glad it was helpful! Also, we can't be afraid of failure. Failure is by far the best teach and we should be embracing it. You will learn so much more if you start and fail. 8)
I love acrylic pouring w/ a blowdryer to spread it out! So much fun! I have created 5 paintings that are super cool and I now feel accomplished as an actual artist! Thanks for making videos, so many people can learn a lot by watching them. Experimenting on your own is also very important, but the pro tips help so you don't waste time/money. Thanks LBA!
1st thank you for taking time to actually explain and teach every single part of fluid acrylic pouring. 2nd I think the most important thing you can do in life is pass on what you have learned to others. So many creators out there that are only showing their work. That's great! You could have easily charge to do a class or something like that and you didn't. You also are self-taught. I think that's incredible. So I commend you. You really did what your video suggested. I just have one question if you ever read this, why did she go from software programming to art? Do you do it just for yourself or do you sell your work? I don't know you might have a video about this already but is it even possible in this day and time to make a living selling acrylic art? I'm asking bcuz 🎨 runs in my fam & blood. However I am struggling financially. And what I mean struggling. I live on less than $1,000 a month. Im a disabled 🎨 woman who just cant afford to spend w/o having some way to pay for my supplies. I have to count every penny. I would if I knew of a way to create & sell my 🎨. Heavy ?'s i know. Thx for any reply. And thank you again you're wonderful artist
I do have a few videos about it. The short of it is, I saw the pretty art on instagram and thought to myself " I can do that". I tested with our boy scount troop that I was the leader of (8 year old boys) and we had a grand old messy time. From then on I was addicted. As to selling your artwork, I have done very little of that. I have sold a bunch but mostly to friends and family or people that see my videos. I'll take that down as an idea to research and do a video on though.
Thanku so much, very informative tutorial. Im one of those people that have all the paints and equipment but am a lil anxious about doing pouring. U have made this far less daunting 😊 thanku very very much, I actually feel alot better about the whole process 😅😊❤
@@LeftBrainedArtistThanku so much, im familiar with failure 😅 but if u never give it a go, you.ll never know right. Thanku so much for replying and your kind words..😊
I also need to learn with step-by-step instructions as well as know the why's, what's, how's etc. This is THE MOST informative video on RUclips!! Thank you so much. I am so new to this (haven't even done a pour yet) and have spent hours and hours watching videos on RUclips and NOBODY explains and demonstrates like you do. Brilliant video!! Thank you so much.
Super informative great teacher…was just thinking today “I really need to learn how to use all of this acrylic paint I’ve been buying lol’ STAY BLESSED AND HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING..
So think the Amethyst Geod. Love Amethysts & Crystals its brillant. The crushed glass is finishing touch. Love your work . Need paint to pouring medium,+ water portions . So want to try similar methods to have a play with it ❤️ keep learning !learning ratio
Thank you so very merry much! I’m so encouraged because you’ve explained how to keep it at a reasonable price 🎉 we can make masterpieces that we’ve always wanted to. Bless you all for wonderful masterpieces to delight and to sell!
I bought some Master's touch pouring medium today, already have a bottle of floetral, but only have small bottle of glue all for now. I have measuring plastic cups, stir sticks. So I'm a slow learner. But I'm going to use 11 x 14. I never understood why we use glue. But for my 1st try, want to try ring pour or dirty pour. I have that bottle if I need water. Watching a couple of your videos now to refresh my mind. 😂
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Glue and Floetrol are just very cheap alternate pouring mediums. If you bought the master touch you know how much more expensive it is than a $15 gallon of glue or floetrol.
I really appreciate how clear & concise this video was. I have watched a lot of paint pouring videos & yours is by far the best teaching video I have seen, so thank you!
From watching this video today, I realized I torched my paintings too long and too close. I just did one of the ring pours you showed us and it turned out great. Thank you so so much
You are a fabulous teacher! Every aspect of mixing is covered! Thank you! Think I will be able to start after watching your video! I have been watching for days and didn’t know where to begin!!! Think I can make a go of it now. Once again…THANK YOU!! You have a new devoted student.!
THE video to start with as a newbie!! After lot’s of other video’s, I was still missing so many levels of “understanding”! Thank you for your left brain!
Your video just appeared on my feed, I have no idea how but I was so pleased. I've been trying to work out how to do this successfully for Bout 3 years now. I bought the supplies and have tried a few times without any success. After listening to what you said in the first few minutes made so much sence to me and during the video everything started to fall into place in my mind. Thank you so much and now I will be going back to watch all your videos and then I will try creating one for myself. Yahoo
Thanks a bunch. One of the reasons I'm interested in pours but haven't started is because every video leaves out important information, or uses terms pourers understand, but I don't. I've been trying to hit a lot of beginner videos so I can fill in some of those gaps. Then I found yours. Very helpful!
I have been pour painting for about 3 years and this was great to watch! If this video had come out when I first started, WOW I would saved so much money! You actually pointed some things out i hadn't thought of because I'm also self taught. For instance, scraping the stir stick! I never put 2 and 2 together that scraping it and mixing a bit before I check consistency would change the flow coming off the stick. You seem like such a nice guy that loves to help. For the more "logical" artist (I was more of a math and science person in school) the way you explain things really leads to a lot of LightBulb moments with the context of my previous pours and frustrating moments when I couldn't figure out why something didn't go right. Thanks for posting! You're one of the artists I wish posted more often because you shed a lot of light on a subject that Google doesn't always have a straight answer on
So glad to hear this was helpful Alexandria. I am especailly heartened to hear that you pay attention to your pours and try to learn from every one. Such a valuable thing to do/know.
@LeftBrainedArtist I really like your comparison videos. Do you happen to have anything on varnishes/finishes? I'm kind of guessing at this. Very few people have a lot of videos on finishes, liquid varnished and sprays vs brushes. I tried SaraTaylor's way, which worked fine until Michaels stopped selling a soft foam brush. I have ruined 3 paintings absolutely love and hope can be fixed, but idk where to start or how to not ruin the other paintings
@@alexandriamonk2345 For gloss and semi-gloss I rub mine on in very small layers as you can see in this video - ruclips.net/video/4VqHUG1ZevU/видео.html This method does not work well for satin and matte which have matting agent in them and really need to be done in a thick coat with a brush/foam brush.
So true! I just adore him as well! My circumstances are different however I'm just starting out have been "watching videos " for a year now and have had a few of what I felt were successful pours. But I have ADHD and for some reason he makes everything make sense where others are just speaking Greek. I also ha the lighbulb come on with the craft stick pointer lol.
what is good about him is that he is not so wasteful, he avoids that by measuring every liquid he uses. Thats wonderful. Now am going to pour painting..i never appreciate others lecturing bec they do a lot of waste..Painters need to protect their environment too..
Oh my goodness!!! I just found you and am SO grateful for your style of figuring things out and teaching! !! Although I am a very right brained person, when I have to do more "left brain" activities, I appreciate the steps and reasons all laid out for me. Thank you thank you thank you!
I was experimenting and managed to get some nice results with a light brown and a nutmeg brown and orange, yellow, and dark copper. Sort of a Halloween vibe. The dutch pours on a white background turned out surprisingly good.
So many great tips....and I especially love that you have paint smudges on the shoulder of your shirt! That's totally me, so I've learned that I needed clothes dedicated to painting; more than just an apron! 😅
Thank you for this video! I'm certain there are others out there, but this is the first one to break it down in an understandable way. You very simply provide what needs to be known about mixing paints and what to use for beginners. Once again, thank you!
I know, brown isn't everyone favorite color. Other than brown, what colors do you find it hard to work with?
For some reason I always have trouble with silver. It always vanishes.
For me it's orange. It's just not a color I am drawn to and other than using it with rainbow colors or with pink/red and yellow, I find it hard to be creative when picking out a color palette

Thank you for inspiring an old bloke to paint again after so many years.😊
You are so welcome! Let me know how it goes Dave.
I'm so glad I found you!! Thank you for your videos!
Thanks Jessica.
I love your technical explanations
Thanks so much Elsie.
The best teacher I have ever had, because you explain why, how, and then get a satisfactory result. Thanks for this useful explanation.
You're very welcome!
I’m blown away…SO much practical and well-presented information for newbies like me. Thank you!!!!!!
Glad to help Tracy. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Best tutorial ever! Every bit of information is precious! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much!
This by far is the best video out there for beginners who are ready to pour! Really appreciate all the helpful tips and everything I need to get started!
So glad it was helpful Dianna. Let me know if you have more questions.
Please PLEASE please write to me about acrylic paint pouring. I’ve been doing it for over 10 years!
You are not just a great teacher, David, but such a sweet guy. I love learning from you. I also need to know the why of things as it helps me to retain what I've learned. I really appreciate all you do and your encouragement.
Thanks so much!
This is the most exhaustive explanation of why we do anything related to pouring
Thank you so much ❤
My pleasure Jane😊
I really love the last one it’s beautiful !
Thank you so much!
Thanks for your help with me 🙂🙏🙏🙏🙏.
You are very welcome!
The one you are covering is just beautiful
Isn't that so interesting with abstract art. We all like this so differently. My wife and I am complete opposites generally.
THANK YOU for actual coherent instructions in one vid! Bravo!
My pleasure Elsie.
All of them came out so beautiful
Thanks Lillie!
the most detailed tutorial for beginners I have ever seen. Thank you!
You're very welcome! Let me know if you have any questions.
This is absolutely the best video for beginners or anyone on YT for pouring. Your information, presentation abd demonstrations are invaluable. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. It is anazing.
You are so welcome Patty.
You are an amazing teacher. I wish your video had been the first video i had seen. 😊
Thanks! I am glad to hear that.
I am very new to pouring acrylic coin and I am so glad I watched this video you have really helped me with the mixing process. I appreciate you very much and I have subscribed and will continue to watch your videos. Have a blessed day. Bye-bye.
Thanks so much! I am always happy to help.
I am loving your channel! Even though I’m only 2:20 mins in, I AM SO GRATEFUL for your approach to the - what seems like rocket science! I need step by step and WHY! Thank you for even saying that! Ok I’m gonna get into it (your video) now. Xoxo🤗
You are so welcome!
This is the third video of yours I have watched you have great teaching delivery and I have spent a small fortune on different flow improvers etc and still no cells was going to give up but will keep watching your advice.👍
Let me know if you have more questions Pat. You can do this.
I don't have patreon but I do have a community if you are interested. community.leftbrainedartist.com
I'm one of those that have watched too many videos trying to find answers to basic questions. Thank you for covering them. Now I'm going to ty it.
You're very welcome! Let me know how it goes.
You're very welcome! Let me know how it goes.
Good luck. I'd love to see the pour you do for your daughter when you get to it. Ocean and galaxy are definitley some of my favorites.
Your methodical approach to acrylic pouring is a fusion of art and science that I love about your videos. I have too many other hobbies to start up acrylic pouring. But, your videos provide information and tips that are also helpful for other craft applications using acrylic paints and/or mica pigments. 😀
Wow, thank you Abby. Glad to help.
You're very welcome Michelle.
Thank you for this clear video for mixing up the colors the right way. I just made my first pour with water. Terrible but I’m just beginning 😃. Much thanks from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 greetings Marian
You can do it!
Thank you!! I needed that message tonight… To get off my a*s & go do a painting tonight! It’s been so long & I’ve been hanging to so I’m gonna finish this quarter pounder watching ur video & off I go.. Wish me luck!! lol 🎉😂❤
How did it go Lyndell?
I appreciate your way of sharing knowledge. Thank you
So nice of you Jolly.
Out!! 🌹
So glad to help Hazel. Don't hesitate to ask any questions that you have.
Great video!! All the basics covered clearly and concisely!!
Great to hear!
This is a EXCELLENT tutorial for beginners.
Thanks so much!
I watch and listen to your full video then, I summarize them and list down on a paper the step by step procedure in my simplest terms. Thank you so much. The best tutorial video. You're generous with information.
You can do it! Let me know how it goes Noel.
Wonderful class, David!! That was extremely beneficial with well presented encouragement. Thank you for caring enough to teach us.
Glad you enjoyed it Beth.
Love that second one!!
Thanks Angel.
You really focus on what is Relevant👌‼️ Thank you for sharing your Experience🤲❤️Toom@CapeTown
That's how I learn so I figured others would be the same.
Thank you!! That was the most informative video i have seen on this topic so far 😃❤ that is exactly what i needed 🙏
You are so welcome! Let me know when you start and if you have questions.
Thanks for offering your help to All of us, i think thats just very kind.. artists should help other artist, cause it makes the world a more beautiful place :)
Sorry for this long message but i guess it wanted to be said :))
I ordered everything i need yesterday (colours, canvas and so on i always have at home .. but the rest i immediately ordered, i cant wait for the postman ✨️😅 i feel like a lil child waiting for Christmas 🤗😇)
@@spiritfiyuh11 This is so similar to my story. I always wanted to be artistic but never could find a way to show it. I was hooked that second I saw pouring on social media.
@@LeftBrainedArtist that is beautiful!! :) thank you for sharing your Videos, it's a lot easier when you know what you need and some do's and dont's.. so its not just some expensive trial and error 😅
Thanks David 🍀
I've been quasi attempting to learn for a few years. Tonight your videos helped me figure out things what I've been doing wrong and I hadn't been able to learn for years 😂🤯🤯 thank you so much 🎉
So glad you are finally on the right track!
@ it’s the left brain energy you bring!! When you introduce yourself that way you hooked me🪝
1) I couldn’t figure out why my paint pours out zig zaggy. When watching other videos their paint flows out in straighter, smoother lines.
You taught my that my paint has been too thick. I was concerned it was too thin or that my hands are too shaky 😂🙏
2) My paint wasn’t moving when blowing it. Just rippling.
This is an EXCELLENT video, and your narration is perfect! I have been painting for over 20 years and started pouring many years ago by trial and error with a lot of waste. this is a game changer for those who are just starting out. I love your teaching method!
Thanks Joanna for the lovely comment. So glad to help.
You are the best teacher out of the 8 I've watched. THANK YOU
Thanks so much. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you have. Questions make for great video ideas for me.
Thanks LBA!
So true. Awesome to hear you got great results with the blow dryer. My first few were dismal failures.
Absolutely fantastic guide for beginners. Lots of reasons why certain things happen during the process. Thanks soooo much!👌
You're very welcome Jose.
U have made this far less daunting 😊 thanku very very much, I actually feel alot better about the whole process
😅😊❤
With this I have learned to embrace my failures as they are the best teachers. You can do this Karen. Can't wait to see what you create.
@@LeftBrainedArtistThanku so much, im familiar with failure 😅
but if u never give it a go, you.ll never know right.
Glad it was helpful!
Super informative great teacher…was just thinking today “I really need to learn how to use all of this acrylic paint I’ve been buying lol’ STAY BLESSED AND HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING..
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Now is the perfect time to start pouring Isabella
So think the Amethyst Geod. Love Amethysts & Crystals its brillant. The crushed glass is finishing touch. Love your work . Need paint to pouring medium,+ water portions . So want to try similar methods to have a play with it ❤️
keep learning !learning ratio
Most of my craft paints are 1 part paint to 1 part medium and my studen acrylics are 2 parts medium 1 part paint plus water to consistency for both.
Thanks!
Wow. Thank you so much
Thank you so very merry much! I’m so encouraged because you’ve explained how to keep it at a reasonable price 🎉 we can make masterpieces that we’ve always wanted to. Bless you all for wonderful masterpieces to delight and to sell!
You are so welcome!
Very helpfull for beginners, keep it up David!
Thanks, will do Viki.
@@LeftBrainedArtist thx David💗
I really appreciate how clear & concise this video was. I have watched a lot of paint pouring videos & yours is by far the best teaching video I have seen, so thank you!
You are so welcome Sue.
Blazing new trails! Newly sub'd due the great explanations. The painting at 50min, looks like a topography to me.🤠
Welcome to the Pouring Nation. Hopefully my videos continue to help you.
Thank you for your knowledge and talent. Very Informative❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome Paula.
Great video, there were some stuff I didn't know and now I do. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks
Man, you are so generous.
I’ve been watching a lot of acrylic pours and you are the best at explaining the why. Thank you.
You are so welcome Linda. Glad to help. Let me know if you have more questions.
From watching this video today, I realized I torched my paintings too long and too close. I just did one of the ring pours you showed us and it turned out great.
Thank you so so much
Great job Amy. Glad to hear you are getting good results.
You are a fabulous teacher! Every aspect of mixing is covered! Thank you! Think I will be able to start after watching your video! I have been watching for days and didn’t know where to begin!!! Think I can make a go of it now. Once again…THANK YOU!! You have a new devoted student.!
You are so welcome! Start now, you'll learn the most by doing it yourself.
THE video to start with as a newbie!! After lot’s of other video’s, I was still missing so many levels of “understanding”! Thank you for your left brain!
You're so welcome Kae.
Merci de ces explications sur la manière dont les peintures interagissent entre elles, c'est intéressant de le savoir.
Avec plaisir. Heureux de vous aider.
You are a very good teacher. I love this video. Thank you David. 👍👍
You are very welcome Violette. Have you started pouring yet?
@@LeftBrainedArtist yes and i tried a swipe.
I’m thinking about learning to pour acrylics. I’ve watched so many videos and none, that I have found, have been as clear as yours. Thanks!
So glad to be able to help.
I have been pouring because of you and have made art I like!!! Thank you❤❤❤
That is amazing to hear Eileen.
My favorite Art Science teacher! SO glad I found this channel!!
Wow, thank you Caitlin.
Yahoo
You can do it Jane. Let me know if you have any questions.
I am delighted to find a left brained artist! Just what I needed to understand the important basics! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thank you. I'm a new fluid artist and I am teaching my kids as well. This was extremely helpful. ❤
You are so welcome Tiarrea.
You’re an amazing teacher. I can’t wait to see more of your stuff! Thank you! 🤗
Thank you so much Maria.
Thanks a bunch. One of the reasons I'm interested in pours but haven't started is because every video leaves out important information, or uses terms pourers understand, but I don't. I've been trying to hit a lot of beginner videos so I can fill in some of those gaps. Then I found yours. Very helpful!
You are welcome! If you have more questions just ask.
This is an excellent first time painter teaching video. I loved the results on the tile.
Thanks so much Natalie. Hope it helps you.
@@LeftBrainedArtist I'll check that out! Thank you!
We definitely need to be aware of what we are doing and minimize waste for both monetary and environmental reasons.
Oh my goodness!!! I just found you and am SO grateful for your style of figuring things out and teaching! !! Although I am a very right brained person, when I have to do more "left brain" activities, I appreciate the steps and reasons all laid out for me. Thank you thank you thank you!
You are so welcome CJ.
I was experimenting and managed to get some nice results with a light brown and a nutmeg brown and orange, yellow, and dark copper. Sort of a Halloween vibe. The dutch pours on a white background turned out surprisingly good.
Interesting! I'll have to check that out.
So many great tips....and I especially love that you have paint smudges on the shoulder of your shirt! That's totally me, so I've learned that I needed clothes dedicated to painting; more than just an apron! 😅
Definitely. I have a whole closet of those now.
Thank you for this video! I'm certain there are others out there, but this is the first one to break it down in an understandable way. You very simply provide what needs to be known about mixing paints and what to use for beginners. Once again, thank you!
You're very welcome!
