Golden retrievers if you’re ever gonna get a dog are the most loving kind, selfless, sentient creatures I have ever seen in my life. I had one we had a pool and when my daughter would go swimming at a very young age 3 years old, even though I was in the pool with her, if she went towards the deep end, every single time, my dog would jump in the pool, grab her by the arm and take her to the shallow end of the pool all the way to the very end and wouldn’t let her go. She did this every single time her name was butterscotch.
The dog was like " Fuck this! Why are we in the middle of the hurricane with this fucking boat when we could've evacuated 100 miles of land away from this shit." I think this was intentional so the boat owner can claim 100% insurance.
I thought the same thing - the dog was trusting. You can tell it didn’t want to jump in the water but he decided to trust the person in the water. Thank God they are all ok and safe!
My sister survived, the roads to her property is impassable. It leveled most of the trees around her house, thank god only 1 tree it her home and it was on the corner. She was told that it will probably be a week before she gets electricity

While introducing him, why would she refer to him Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp and not just Georgia Governor Brian Kemp? Seems kind of unnecessary.
5:42 that’s a good thing. He’s the only one who stood up to Trump. If he were to run, both sides would vote for him. Red because they follow their party and Blue because he’s got a good head on his shoulders.
I’m not a Kemp supporter at all, but I thought the same thing .. just say the governor.. maybe we’ve all become so accustomed to the madness and pointing out differences.. again not a Kemp supporter, didn’t like what happened with Stacy Abrams when she first ran against him .. yes it stop up to 45 with the vote count but he is also voting for Trump ..
Trump is a chaos agent, I’m weary ..
@@Zorazora1234 I was just thinking it is both odd and unimportant to refer to his label at a time of disaster and great tragedy. He is the Governor, in charge of the state, regardless of where he stands politically. Save the label for normal times. I guess it has become so ingrained to label in today's "news" environment that it is simply second nature now. Like you said, it is quite tiresome.
@@Zorazora1234 I am with you! I liked what he did with the Aubrey case by allowing it to be charged as a hate crime. He called it what it was - a lynching. I think part of what happened with his not letting Trump win was because of Abrams. He didn’t want any smoke and was smart enough not to draw attention to what happened in his election. He is one of a few that speak up. He isn’t extreme and is more like the Republicans of old. That will be the type of person who can win their party back. So many are cowards.
😂..bcs she is a propagandist..
That man was an idiot to take his dog out in a boat during a cat 4 hurricane. He endangered the first responders and the lives of people along with his dog with his dumb decision.
These areas are probably going to be abandoned over the next 25 years as the frequency of these storms increases.
Don't forget the follow-up story at the outrage these folks suffer at the hands of Ron DeSantis's policies in regards to the homeowners insurance crisis that adds insult to the injury here in Florida. Reference Ian and Debbie.
Bravo💖
Send him a bill for all the resources used to rescue him and his dog. He knew the hurricane was coming.
Whilst citizens are dealing with the catastrophic disaster and recovery in the south; from Florida through Georgia to Tennessee and the Carolinas; Trump focuses on his interests downplaying the citizens' plight and referencing their experiences as "little hurricane."

But where is the help? The states send the National Guard but where is the other help. They should have much more help on the ground by now. People are likely to die if they don't show up soon.
Why was he in the ocean to begin with???Its stupid
Trying to take boat to a safe port
He lost his house and everything he had. The boat was literally all he had left at that point
It has been more than 48-hours since hurricane Helene blew through Georgia and everywhere I go I see power crews standing around laughing, joking, talking and socializing with each other while people are without power and people are suffering all because of these LAZY power crews. These LAZY power crews need to get up off of their butts and do their job!
When did this actually make landfall, what day?
Any coverage on the Appalachian area?
Nature doesn't care about your politics. It will take everything dear to you. Democrat or Republican, we must respect and help each other out.
That’s the stupidest question I’ve ever heard a news person ask someone. “What’s your advice if you’re driving and notice a mountain about to collapse on you?” Seriously? You get the f away as fast as you can anyway possible. Not Tapper’s finest moment. 🤦🏼♀️
A new "Trail of Tears". History repeats itself and on the sane land.
Omg this Hurricane a bad one , be Careful those live wires and water holes
Only costed us tax payers 33,000 to save a man in a Hurricane on the ocean when he should have been on land in a safe place. like the other smart people. The expenses for launching a U.S. Coast Guard response boat for an average search pattern amount to $5,000, while deploying a helicopter costs $33,000. It's crucial to note that during search and rescue operations, the Coast Guard doesn't impose charges on members of the public requiring assistance
I own a sailboat ancan tell ya we all know a few things about hurricane season, the key being don't hang on a frickin' boat in the path of a hurricane with an animal. This put a lot ofpeople at risk.
The least dramatic thing I've seen yet.
They're just cashing in on dog + drama = omg
