I was in her courtroom in 1993. She remanded me and sent me to a group home. A few months later I get a visit from Ruben Torres from The Dome Project. He told me he can get me out if I just continue going to school and not get into more trouble, and I did just that. I graduated high school and continued on with my education and never got in trouble again. I guess I was part of the 10 out of 1000 kids. I’m 44 now. Good job and beautiful children. I thank God, Judge Judy, my teachers & mentors from West Side High School and Youth Works 1997 program. (NY students travel to Israel for 3.5 months). There is hope for our youth. We as a nation need more services for the youth, as well as for families. Mental health services & programs for children after school and during the summer. We need to invest in our children because they are our future!

my mom was just like her, she was 5'1 and 106 lbs but her voice was higher then anyone in the room so when i first heard of Judge Judy and seen her show back in 1997 i hated her because it was like hearing my mom rip me a new one but on national television. my mom loved her and from that first episode she saw she never missed one. i lost my mom to a heart attack in 2012, i came into her room to say good morning to her and found her dead. i started watching a Judge Judy shortly after because it was like therapy for me, if i closed my eyes while watching her show i could almost her my mom speaking again. when i was a teenager i thought it was frightening that my mom and JJ were the same height, sounded alike so it scared me to think there were 2 of my mom in this world but now i find comfort that my mom's voice lives on in someone like Judge Judy.

Judge Judy's shows demonstrate more about logic and critical thinking than they do about law. She is admired because she executes swift deductive logic and communicates it with clarity and concision.
I love her. She is a role model.

Honestly, I wish I had been a fly on the wall when she took on the public judicial system. Her show is amazing, but she really made a difference here.

And also image control. He can't be seen to be bad mouthing her, would make him look bad. He had a reputation to maintain so it was selfish too.
