If I am not mistaken, Milton Berle had a daughter named Lisa. She became an eye surgeon who married another eye surgeon. Their last name was Arbisser. The resided in the Quad Cities on the Iowa side of the Mississippi river. I have taken my son to see Dr Arbisser when he injured his eye and Dr Lisa did my Moms cataract surgery. They worked at Eye Surgeon's Associates here in the Quad Cities for quite some time. I think Milton died in a Davenport hospital. When my mother developed dementia she used to make things for Dr. Lisa's girls. Doll clothes, tooth fairy pillows, child type room decorations etc. I remember the Arbisser's fondly. They were wonderful humanitarians also. I am a huge fan of Judge Judy and watch her all the time. I think she has so much wisdom and she imparts that to young people who appear on her show. I really enjoyed this interview. Thank you.

I think Judy is a great example of someone who understands human nature, character, emotional intelligence and morality. If you watch enough of her cases she spends a lot of her time trying to uncover the true reason someone did something and understanding what would have caused them to do it rather than just hearing the case and ruling by the book. She understands people just as much as she understands the law if not more, and to me that’s her greatest asset.

Yes, I get what she's saying that so many kids come from under privileged backgrounds and that 90% of these kids don't act out and create crimes. But there's also a percentage that do. My argument is that everyone relates to trauma in a different way. And some of these kids don't have the mechanism or ability to separate themselves from their background. I'm just offering up a different interpretation as someone in the field. I just hate it when people say, well, so and so had the same background and they didn't kill anyone. So what? Everyone interprets trauma in different ways.

This is such a lovely interview. Judge Judy doesn’t get that much coverage here in the UK but thanks to CBS reality, I have been discovering her show properly in the last 12 months. While I can understand those who don’t agree with her approach, I personally think she absolutely spot on. ‘Do the right thing’ is what I take away from every episode. In these times of PC craziness, she seems unafraid to say it like it is and I think we could all learn a lot from her values. She is an inspiration. If I can have 1 ounce of her integrity then I would be happy. Judith Sheindlin is an amazing women and long may she continue.

It’s ironic that her career beginnings are much like freshman Biology instructor. They were born around the same time and during that era women were expected to be traditional wives irrespective of education. What I admire most is that they never gave up on their dreams and often times without the approval of their husbands, they continued to be career driven and ambitious. My former professor ultimately became the university provost while simultaneously conducting molecular biological research and still managed to maintain a household and celebrate her golden wedding anniversary. JJ and women like her are proof that whatever you put your mind to, you can accomplish without being slave to life expectations. You really can have it all as long as you’re willing to work for it 😉

There is so much wisdom, heart, life-knowledge, and more that makes up Judge Judy that it's hard to find fault with her. This is one right-on, spot-on lady! You are truly an inspiration!

I watch you everyday. My Husband and I have found raising our children by Your Yardstick has matched what We Thought and How We were raised. One of them gave us challenges during teenage years but we didn’t give in to the Easy Way. He is 30 now and has thanked us over & over for our toughness. 🥺 Oh boy it was sleepless nights, watching out a window to see if he was leaving. Searching a room or not letting him have a computer In his own room... It was not easy. His friends parents that took the easy way, now have kids that are without jobs, on drugs ext.... My husband uses the same thoughts & discipline to elementary-students as a Teacher, Vice -Principal & now Principal.

I agree and absolutely believe it is our duty as parents to assist in installing our children with a moral compass as she mentioned in the beginning of this interview. I can appreciate her no nonsense attitude and am similar in my own way. Everyone should watch closely, listen carefully, and pay attention to Judge Sheindlin as she is the answer to so many of the problems young people, and even older people are having..... ‘My favorite “Judy-isms”: ‘Don’t look over there! Look here👉🏽👀!’ ‘If you tell the truth, you don’t have to have a good memory!’ These are just two of the treasures I’ve enjoyed while watching JJ for close to 24 years now. After working and living in an unfair world where response time to real problems is often slow or impractical, it has been refreshing to come home and watch Judge Judy swiftly deliver lawful resolutions while showing a keen incite to the individual’s motives and drawing them out to reveal human tendencies, whether good or bad that ALSO educate her TV audience. Watching Judge Judy taught me valuable lessons like: the definition of a contract and Get a signed contract in writing. Thank you, Judge Judy for weaving your fabric (starched 😏) into our lives!⚖️💜

Great interview! Excellent questions from the inerviewer, who was very well prepared. Too bad he never once even chuckled at Judge Sheindlin's funny/clever answers, but props to her for continuing to deliver even though it must have felt like whispering into a black hole.
I was surprised by one answer when she said she didn't know why they set the show in NYC. Judge Sheindlin, it's because of your accent and your energy and your no-nonsense style. You're the polar opposite of CA, and the definition New York. I'm happy the show is set in NYC so we'll always be able to claim you as our own.
I never miss an episode of your show. I'm also friends with a woman named Cora who used to work in the same building as your family court, and she told me stories about how they used to go and watch you because you were the same way then as you are now on TV. Real, true, honest. Doesn't get any better than that. Judge Sheindlin, from one NY'er to another, you're the best!
