I think its great that Judge Judy ended up a multimillionaire. I wish all the judges who deal with such serious issues as she did in New Yorks family court, could end up with similar success stories!

I never saw this documentary until someone sent me the link and I'm completely devastated to hear that the show pays out the money. As many others have already said in the earlier comments, it is disappointing. This was kind of like ruining a wet dream. There is no point in going on this show if your not responsible for your actions. I knew it was partially fake but I'm shocked to hear it goes to that extent.
It's funny that she said 2013 would probably be her last year. And that she wanted to go out on top. Yeah, till they offered her 45 million a year. That was six years ago and she still on top. Regardless of when she goes out it's going to be on top. Because her and Byrd and the show just never gets old.
The money is a perk, she does this because she loves the judicial system. Her service as a judge on a TV show doesn’t negate her objective rulings. I hope you really “hear” her assertion of “Fond something you are really good at!” Take a while and ponder that!
I can remember her in a couple of very early interviews talking about looking for and buying second hand shoes for she did not have the money to buy them brand new. She sure has come a long way!!
Nice home....But people who like company may feel bit lonely there. Maybe therefore she often goes to restaurant and hotels with friends, when she is in town.
but if they have to return property, they really do have to return it. And if the case is dismissed it's legally dismissed. The show does cover if there's a payout, but you've still technically lost a court case, so there is some pride involved there.
And yet, she still doing her show in 2019 while rocking that new ponytail look. Good for her!
