First off, you make this look so easy. I want to thank you for addressing some of my questions. This really explains filling in those gaps. This is what this RUclips community is all about, helping each other. I really appreciate the help, now I’m feeling guilty by having you use all that material for something you make look so simple….smh
When I welded a steel shock with a 3/16 gap solid as a prank - i held the 1/8 filler rod against the wall, started the arc on the filler rod and moved the puddle to the wall then repeated on the lip.
What brand filler wire was it? I'd like to know in case I have some. I don't think it's a big deal to mention the wire brand as long as you're not actively slamming them. Giving a heads up to the community that a common brand may have a bad batch themselves may give the company a heads up to look into their wire or who ever they source it from. Nice video. Thanks for making content
Yeah, really can't stand when people bring up the topic, then coward away. Like bringing it up helps absolutely no one, and makes you look like a bitch not saying it. Like you said, you don't have to slam them, but bring up your findings isn't wrong. But not saying a name and actually bringing it to light doesn't help the consumer, and more so protects the company now..... Say the name, or don't bring the topic up at all. lol...
@@hotrodchris805 Thanks, I just got an Everlast 210 EXT. I figured polarity might not matter when it's on AC but then I thought about the "Balance". ie. If it's set for 30% electrode positive, wouldn't the torch need to be hooked up to positive? otherwise your balance ratio would be opposite.

Nice work, thank you.
you never showed the other side of the welds! could you use a lense on the camera so we could see arc shots?
Good video, I wish you showed the back side.
Foe aluminum TIG welding where should the torch connect on an inverter machine, negative or positive?
Doesn't matter as on the ac/dc setting it alternates. Need an ac/ dc machine, not just dc.

@@remital6834 interesting point and I don't know! Suggest you just try it! Need lots of practice / experimentation to find what works for you.
As I have always said, sometimes you have to make chicken salad out of chicken poop.
What size filler rod. It looks big in the video?
Where you located.

Why do they try to make people think welding is hard, aluminum is very simple to weld, real easy to fix your screw ups.
@@miketerry4972 it is and idk i agree
IM 75 been welding since I was 15,these are just click baits to get hits, welding is not that hard any metal any alloy any gas.
@@miketerry4972 its not click bait i had someone ask how i go about it
Why speed up all the time? Looking, and listening, in real time hepls a lot, especially if its not a routine procedure. Just saying.
@@hotrodchris805 i will work on that
