Dude, you don't even need to listen to these guys with 9 subs. Shit posters will always shit post. Just keep doing you, you will never get rid of shit posters. All he is trying to do is piggy back off of your subscribers. And now because you made this video he will probably get hundreds of subs from this, even though he's an ass. So you just helped him out.

In the words of the legend This old Tony, “On a scale of 0 to 6061, how well can you weld?” You’re the benchmark mate, keep it up 😁 I think that’s who and what he said, if not chalk it up to bad memory.
Had a welding instructor stop by the shop a while back. He was extolling the virtues of using the correct size of tungsten. After he had complimented me on the aluminum welding he saw me doing I told him I only used 1/8" tungsten, his expression of surprise/disbelief was entertaining! We have Fronius and Everlast in the shop and all I can say is they both weld thick and thin and pretty if the person holding the torch knows what he is doing. I enjoyed your video!
So I started shopping for a tig welder and this channel came up. Glad it did this guy is hilarious. I'm not new to fabrication spent 8 years on CNC and cutting tables but a complete novice on tig. I'll be learning a lot here thank you man.
LOL. Your videos keep getting funnier and funnier. Your a great teacher. You help me with aluminum welding pointers 4 years ago. I dont understand how you dont have A million plus followers. Keep up the great work!!
I'm always worried about my iphone sitting on my table when welding. My man has his laptop sitting there just watching him throw lightning bolts into the can. I love it.
I have also had some Milwaukee batteries and other small electronics die when sitting on the bench after AC welding. I don't understand how it works but oh well.
speaking as somone who bought the subscription probably about 6 years ago now totally worth the money and always a good reference to check back on Thanks Andrew UK
I’m going to make a video trying to critique something you do just so we all get the hilarity and comic value from your video response 🤣 love them, thanks Aaron!
Probably your funniest one so far. flammables on the table has me a bit tweaked.. ok, 4:30 I learned something new. I don't say that often anymore. Kudos You have a good ear for the music of the arc sir
I liked this display of how to simplify an apparent tricky weld operation. Aaron always does it justice. I'm always learning a lot from the 6061 training course (BEST I have ever come across in my 20 years of welding). He's dead right, leave your EGO at the front gate...
I actually got tired of having so many sizes and types of tungsten and have since, only been using 3/32 chartreuse LaZyr tungsten, but now after watching and learning more from Aaron, I might switch to 1/8" only.
Had the luck to learn from an extremely skilled welder like 6061. He could TIG with just about anything with just about any rig. This is yet more proof that skill matters far more than ones rig. I have a Dynasty 700 in my garage and I can assure you all that it doesn't make me a better welder. Learning from guys like my friend John and watching videos by people like 6061 has!
I must say, best response video yet. What is good for one does not mean it is for all. Now I need to listen to some music, 350Hz. Thanks for all your great videos. I allways learn something new.
I had a stroke and my truck broke down but before I ended up on the streets I used to love welding. This was a great video. You have a new subscriber, I'm old enough to remember when something like this happened on wranglstar's channel. I always felt like if it looks nice and it can pass the hammer test it's fine.
I’m retired now, but as an old time vocational school welding instructor, if you’re going to give any type of instructional advice, you shouldn’t be attempting any welding procedure with a quart can of alcohol about a foot away! UNBELIEVABLE!! Rock on,Aaron….
Better a bottle of alcohol than an open can of ether and besides he is TIG welding not MIG or Stick welding 😁 That said the stuff I have done welding and working on cars would keep most vocational school instructors up at night or curl up into the fetal position and start sucking their thumb while soiling themselves 😅😂🤣 Lastly the advice given by our esteemed video host about welding table/work bench and chair height so you are not hunched over your work is absolutely some of the best advice he has ever given unless of course you like spinal stenosis
What a load of shit, if you are good at something, false humility is just as bad as arrogance, it's all in how you present it, I'm a journeyman painter, and I'm never going to tell someone something like "Oh I kinda know what I'm doing", that's as good a way to lose contracts as telling people that you are the best that's ever been. Welder beef on youtube? Well thats new. Great video as always. I noticed the position hes welding in too. Like you always say, get comfortable. Most comfortable as you can. Height adjustable chair, without rollers, without backrest, sit so that you have a straight back but no all agled up legs, throw something under your part you wanna weld, etc.
That note is a D4 it’s a bit sharp but it’s def out for my range too 😂 I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard and gained so much knowledges from one video ever…….well maybe a TOT video but this channel is my new fav
Excellent video, your work speaks for itself. You don't have to prove anything to anyone. But in this case you did an excellent job of showing someone how to do it.
Fay Butler once showed me how to grind down the 1st inch or so of tungsten to fool it into thinking it was .090 instead of 3/32. I never thought it would work, but he was spot on. My chassis fab students would always ask if I could weld 2 beer cans together. I would tell them that if I ever needed 2 welded beer cans on a race car, I could certainly figure it out....

what's wrong with more people getting into welding? Almost every hobbyist I know has cheap Chinese tools in their garage. I didn't start out with Miller welders, and made in the USA machine tools and tooling, it took me nearly 50 years of buying and horse trading to get where I am now. I'm nearly 70 and 100% welcome every new welder and machinist who wants to learn new life skills. I watched the other vid, and what I took from it was someone saying "this is how I do it..."
There's nothing wrong with more people getting into welding, and the cheap machines have certainly made it more attainable. The problem is to do with Dunning-Kruger. It used to be just the dumb kid, fresh out of school, telling journeymen on the jobsite that they're doing it wrong because his "welding instructor said..." Now it's every dork with a cheap welder in his garage at home, six months hot gluing some shit together, telling actual professionals they're doing it wrong. It's absurd, and my point was that trying to fight them is like "pissing into a hurricane." But the content is funny, I enjoy it, and I hope he doesn't get burned out by all the noise. "Do you remember before the Internet, when people thought the cause of stupidity was the lack of access to information? Yea...it wasn't that."
You know i only worked 4 years in a machine shop / fabrication shop and thing i learned is that details like these almost doesnt matter if you have good technique and can setup the machine close enough, you can weld anything. I dont like when people geek out over mundane things, when simple does the job just good as if not better. I welded pressurised vessels and back than i was quite a noobie and boss gave me a cut off from the material and said. Take the white tungsten set it to 110a AC and then if its not good fiddle with it a little. Did as he said, i put a random frequency that felt correct, weld was completely fine.
You crack me up dude😂. You are my kinda guy. I have an Everlast Powertig 325 with water cooler. CK torch. Does everything that I need. 5 year warranty vs. Miller 3 year warranty. No brainer.
Way back when.. UK TV program Tomorrow's World (1970s/80s) showed a new fancy welder with an electronically controlled arc. To showcase it's ability they played music with it by the control manipulating the size of the arc. Before that machine, welders were all just transformers.
Looking for “slowly shaking head” emoji for all these keyboard warriors. 6061 keep putting out your great content pls. There are literally a bazillion ways to skin a cat. Many of them can be made to work regardless of tool quality if there is a will. I’ll keep coming back to guys like you for practical welding training that works.
I learned the hard way, not aluminum, but TIG on steel to always use the largest diameter tungsten possible, it gets the most energy to where you want it (a big deal when hanging the tungsten out in a hole). The same thing transferred to microwelding, the larger diameter always helped. We used to do some pretty intricate stuff on an old Miller Syncrowave 250 with magnifiers.
Just paid my 45 bucks! This one made me laugh the whole way through. Blowing the can up made me spit my popcorn. BTW when you've got Ron Covell watching your stuff, say no more!
I enjoy when you teach people. I think it’s funny when people think they are “better” than everyone else and “know all”. You being a pair of gloves to complain about they try their best.
great welds as usual, and entertaining! I'm a 43 year old TIG welder, and I have carpal tunnel now, and it really sucks. resting your wrists on the edge of a table or any corner is bad in the long term....at least the middle of your wrist where all the nerves run through. need some padding there if you have to do it like that to be steady. I have an Everlast 185DV TIG machine, and I believe it goes down to 5 amps if I remember correctly.
@6061 How ironic, I had just opened a bag of Indiana Popcorn Kettle Corn when I hit play. This was Funny AF! When you spit out your popcorn during the Bullsh*t comment, I damn near choked on mine from laughing so hard. This is one of your Best Videos yet, (and they’re all great) I laughed from beginning to end and as usual was learning new stuff the entire time. Keep on Truckin’ Aaron!
Odd, the cola can was quite clearly from Texas, his accent sounded pure Bronx. When you pronounce “Lager” from here in the Boston area, it’s pronounced “LahhhGuh”. You were enjoying a delicious LahhhGuh. Great stuff.
The guy is lucky it was welding knowledge and skill and not a gun fight because they'd be digging a hole for him right now. lol Thanks for the comedy this morning, it was a great start to my day.
Another great video. I'm looking at the 325x but debating on the water cooler option. Most of what I do is 1/8 wall tubing and fusion welding 1/2 rebar.
Ultimately It's up to you, but here are a few things to think about. - What materials will you weld? Generally, AC will heat the torch up more than DC. - How often will you use the machine? If you use the machine infrequently, then it's not really necessary. - How cold does your shop get? Colder environments will require coolant to be used to prevent freezing. Warmer environments can get away with just using distilled water. (Do not use tap water or vehicle coolant) I managed to use an air cooled 17 for most of my career, only since my last few employers I have had the luxury of a water cooled 20.
I used to weld chromoly tube chassis and roll cages for race cars. Weld all day long. I had an air cooler torch and I would keep a fan nearby... not for me... but for the torch. Sometimes it would get so unbearably hot that I would have to stop what I was doing and get a drink or find something else to do for a while. I would try to plan my day around the overheating torch. Weld for 30 min, then go do something else like cut tubes. Then one day I was presented a deal on a water cooled setup. I almost had tears in my eyes at how easy it was now. No more burning hands. Oh... and with the added benefit that the water cooled torch weighs a third of my old one. It's smaller, lighter, more maneuverable. So much easier to work with. I will never, ever again own an air cooled torch. If my water cooler stops working, I'm quitting for the day and I'm ordering another one. Do yourself a favor... get the cooler. You're going to be so happy.
I went from an AHP 201x to a 325x and got the water cooled torch strictly to be able to weld aluminum without taking breaks. Aluminum loves heat so you gotta blast it and that heats up air-cooled torches pretty quickly. I've done a lot of aluminum with the 325x with the water cooled torch and it is a dream. The water cooling system does add another maintenance point though.
WHAT?? I thought YOU were the best? C'mon, ol' Iggie from Boston has 9 whole subs, and he clearly is an esspirt since at no time can you see the weld arc behind his glove. I liked the spin the wire to straighten tip. Spitting out the popcorn bs was hilarious. Good to know the size of your tool and the frequency doesn't matter, that's what she said. 11:29, THAT's how I do it 🙂
Dude, you don't even need to listen to these guys with 9 subs. Shit posters will always shit post. Just keep doing you, you will never get rid of shit posters. All he is trying to do is piggy back off of your subscribers. And now because you made this video he will probably get hundreds of subs from this, even though he's an ass. So you just helped him out.

I know great welders with zero subs across social media.
Subs aren't a measure of welding skill, period full stop.

The Trump dance of course. 😂

I managed to use an air cooled 17 for most of my career, only since my last few employers I have had the luxury of a water cooled 20.
Good Video
get the cooler, it is not much more and lets you use the smaller torch
6061 a little pissed off is awesome 😂
Good lord dude !!!!! I’m loving these new videos!!! Keep them coming
Great video again. Love seeing your videos come up. Always informative. Thanks. Keep them coming
“Here’s how we do it in the pros.” Proceeds to apply the force of god to the can. What a laugh that gave me thanks dude
😂😂😂
I love it when a wannabe wants to show a pro how to do it.
Aaron, you are The GOAT!
11:29, THAT's how I do it 🙂
Might be your funniest video yet.
