Yep till this day this game deserves a remake. I think Crash 4 sets up for it. If they made this game today it would easily be in the top 3 Crash games since others understand how to make a great Crash game now.
I liked that they dared to break the platformer trope of starting with a greenery/jungle level by doing a complete opposite and starting with a snow/ice level playing this absolute banger of a track. It's almost impossible to not to jam with it. 🙂

This game holds a special place in my heart. The music takes me back. I remember playing the WoC demo at my local Hastings (which is a store that no longer exists sadly) when the PS2 first came out. Me and my best friend at the time would take turns playing this and the Jak and Daxter 1 demo. We were totally amazed at how cool the PS2 looked. Seems like forever ago now. Those were some good times.
I remember having this on Christmas Day the year the game came out and played this level and loved this tune perfect for Christmas Day Vibes, every snow level in Crash has a great soundtrack, god I miss these times…Very Nostalgic!!
Despite what people say, I still like Wrath of Cortex. It's not as bad as people say it is. Sure it's not as good as the as the first 3 games but it's a good crash to me. Sure, It could of been more original, looked better, have less vehicle levels (even though I enjoyed most of them) and have WAY better boss fights, but regardless, I still enjoyed this game and it's definitely one of the most underrated crash games. Also, I never had any problems with the loading screens. Maybe because I was playing it on the gamecube.

It was also translated in Spanish and man it was fun to play! In that country it is very hard to find these fun games but wow that cousin of mine has a rare copy of that amazing game

Main reason I didn't like the game was the eternal loading times on PS2. But then I found the XBox version on the Live store and the load times are cut down significantly... Oh and the graphics are better... YAY! :D
I have heard so much about this game and it shocks me to know it introduced my favorite character of all time, Crunch Bandicoot. I haven't played it yet but I sure am gonna now that I know this was Crunch's debut

I only had a famicom, then my family bought me a ps2 and this is the first game I got. I'll never forget turning on my ps2 before going to school, having breakfast and hearing the sea sounds of the console and then this bomb!!.
This music right here INSTANTLY brings me back to when i was such a young kid playing this game with some cousins of mine, i loved playing this game, but i never really finished it though :(, oh well, imma try to get it again on eBay, im sure they have it for xbox =D

Yeah the Gamecube version has short loading times, it was just the first version of the PS2 edition that had the long loading times.

That loading noise.... *shudders*... That "womwomwomwomwomwomwom" made up like 5 hours of my childhood.
The Platinum and Greatest Hits releases had much less loading.
+Artilliam The Xbox version's music also loops properly (though Medieval Madness' track is gone).
+Artilliam On PC the loading time is like 4 to 6 seconds! :)
