A dentist told my daughter she had 15 cavities. She claimed my daughter needed several root canals etc. She was doing the first root canal and it took hours, literally. I kept asking what is taking so long. My daughter told me later the "dentist" was referring to her manual as she did it. Then she finally came out and said she couldn't finish it that we needed to go to a specialist. I was livid. She even charged our insurance for a root canal she couldn't finish. We went to a specialist of our choice, then to a different dentist. They told my daughter she had one, yes one small cavity!! not multiple. What a racket!

Cavities can't be reversed. Cause a cavity is called a cavity because it is a hole in the enamel that has reached the dentin. And it will only get worse if you don't get a filling.

My beloved dentist retired and sold his practice to a couple of other dentists. Not having anyone else to go to I gave them a shot.
First visit, this new dentist tried to tell me that I had nine cavities. He probably saw that I was in my late '40s with few cavities and figured that I should have a bunch by now. I absolutely did not believe this and did not have them filled. I went to another dentist two years later, only to find out I had NO cavities. Perhaps I inadvertently somehow healed my teeth, or maybe he was just a complete scammer, needing to pay for a new practice that he just bought. I left a scathing review, and just recently went back to find that they had responded. I responded to their response negating their entire response!

The medical and dental professions both have an inherent "Conflict of Interest" built right into them. So, whenever choosing a doctor or a dentist, moral character means everything. (ie. Are they honest? Are they competent? Do they really CARE about you? etc...) My father was an MD for over 60 years, and my mother was an RN. They were both very picky about which doctors they went to. They knew that doctors are not all the same. The really GOOD doctors are in the minority. When you find a good one, don't let him/her go! (The mediocre ones are a dime a dozen).

    Hi Gabe
I've been an holistic dentist for 12 years now and just wanted to compliment you on your in-depth research. This is very valuable content for lots of people, as you have covered most of the important topics.
If you want another interesting rabbit hole to jump into concerning this: I've found that lots of my patients also have problems with cavities because of a mouth breathing habit or an inability to close their mouths because of orthodontic problems. Explaining this in simple terms: open mouth habit or mouth breathing = mouth dries out = no saliva = no remineralization. Luckily there's training you can do. Have a look at Dr. Mew's videos. Have fun deep diving ;-)

Saft Coral. When I was put on a CPAP machine for sleeping all my dental work from years past fell out within a year because of the dry mouth that you talk about. Crowns, a bridge, fillings,. All fell out. My dentist looked at me like I was crazy when I explained that I thought it had something to do with the CPAP because that's the only thing I was doing different. He said it was poor hygiene. Really? Yah he accused me of never brushing my teeth. I inherited really soft teeth from my father who was in dentures by the age of 35. So I had a lot of dental work in my twenties. Caps, crowns, one bridge because I still had most of my baby teeth. I now have all my top molars and front top and bottom teeth because I didn't have dental work on them but no now have no molars on the bottom 😢. Another thing... when I refused to have them paint my teeth with fluoride because you know I never brush my teeth and need extra protection...🙄... again with the look. Sorry to be so long. Guess I needed to vent to a real dentist that might understand. I wish there was a holistic dentist in my area. ❤️

I am 64 years old and living in Latin America, I found that the coconut oil pulling and essential oils only controlled some deep infections that I had in my jaw from diet mineral deficiencies. For me I found the Lugol's Iodine on dental floss made a huge impact so I began adding 1 drop to an ounce of water and dipped the toothbrush in it and after brushing I even swallowed the iodine solution on the brush. I then started taking kelp as well to address an iodine deficiency. That worked pretty good and I also read that Colloidal silver worked great for deep cleansing old standing infections throughout the body, so I began taking a maintenance dose of a teaspoon daily. At that point I began seeing real healing taking place. I went on a diet including liver and seafood and raw eggs and the pain and sensitivity that I had in 5 teeth rapidly diminished. The diet works well and the idea is the same, kill the infection and make certain you go on a high mineral, high vitamin A and D diet with lots of healthy fats and oils to support tooth and bone growth. I got a lot of info from Ramiel Nagel's book Cure Tooth Decay. Due to my age I also adjusted the protocol so as to focus as well on increasing testosterone which also made a huge impact. Do teeth heal? Yes. But the diet needs to focus on ocean foods that have high mineral content. Where I live, the coastal people are famous for great teeth, but they live on mainly what they pull out of the ocean. Its the one place companies like Monsanto have not yet destroyed, but they are are certainly working on it.

@@stayfit57 Thanks for the warning, yet I have never seen any data or studies pointing at that. Our eggs are from our very healthy and happy chickens who eat lots of bugs and grass so you can actually taste the zinc in the whites. I have been doing the raw eggs most of my life and never had a problem with zinc deficiency. If anything, I have been worried about copper deficiency which is caused by too much zinc. One thing that raw eggs are reported to do, is to possibly cause biotin deficiency. But once again, I have never had any symptoms of that either. They say the raw white can block biotin absorption in the intestines but that seems unlikely since the raw egg, due to the intact enzymes, is digested within 15 minutes of eating it, where the cooked egg requires that the body replicates the enzymes destroyed in the cooking process. And digestion of cooked eggs takes 45 minutes. If there is one thing I have learned over the years, the corporate system can be counted on to misdirect the consumers with bad info in order to maintain control and profits. You can get the same hardening affect by taking magnesium citrate (better) or Magnesium Glycinate (good) and zinc. between zinc and magnesium my teeth are much harder. I also agree with his advice on controlling the bacteria will help win the war.

I lived in the US for a couple of years, got a gum problem (related to my pregnancy). I went to the dentist my health insurance advised me. He told me I had 7 cavities. I used to go to the dentist once a year in France (each time a different one) and none of them found any cavity since my childhood. The American doctor asked for 1500$ : « You’re lucky, Ma’am, you have a very good health insurance ». I did not have the money and decided to take care of my teeth once back in my country (where a cavity was cured for 28€ only, plus fully reemboursed by social security). I was anxious, went to the dentist. She checked my mouth, then said sadly : « I am sorry to say that you have 0 cavity. You only have a few black stains. If I treat them, it’ll harm you. I saw at least 3 other dentists since then who told me the same. I am sad to hear today that this is usual in America. I thought I was unlucky… Too many doctors are obsessed with the money… Wish you the best. God help us.

Very interesting. I have not had a cavity in over 50 years (74). I heard about the coconut oil treatment but I only did this for a few months since I don’t have cavities, I did not think it was necessary. I floss daily, and have a dish of baking soda in my cabinet and take a pinch daily in a glass of water and rinse my mouth out after brushing, and rinse before bed. Baking soda neutralizes all acids caused by any bacteria, foods, or drinks even vinegar. If I feel any tooth pain, I add a 1/4 tsp of hydrogen peroxide in my water pick and spray at low pressure between teeth, and all gum pain is gone, then coconut oil. But oral care must be ongoing daily!. P.S. Celtic Salt is one of the best salts to use. It contains about 80 trace elements your teeth require for proper formation. Plain salt contains only sodium and Iodine and nothing else, but is very salty flavored, highly processed, but lacking.

    • @angeleyes2071

Exactly! This guy is giving misleading information. And his theory about 'depleted' soil is nonsense. Fruits and vegetables won't grow properly in the 1st place if the needed minerals are not present in the soil...hence FERTILIZERS. Then he suggests 'juicing' these fruits and vegetables to remedy the lack of minerals. Hogwash! If the fruits and vegetalbes don't have the minerals because of picking and harvesting them too early, juicing is going to do nothing to remedy that🤦🏽‍♂️
And for him to suggest dentists don't know any of this infomation to prevent cavities is absurd. We learn all this in dental or hygiene school. The problem is that the average American doesn't have the education to understand microbiology and bacteriology so we have to explain all this in more simplified terms.
And he does not understand that Vit D only incorporates into the tooth enamel upon formation at age 0 to about 15. After that vit D is of no use to prevent cavities. It is only beneficial to bones. And yes, to the BONES that hold your teeth IN YOUR JAW. Calcium, phosphorus and FLUORIDE are essential to remineralize the enamel to prevent cavities.
His coconut pulling regimen is controversial. Ultimately swishing ANYTHING in your mouth for 15-20 minutes will reduce the bacteria in your mouth! Essential oils are beneficial thar is why LISTERINE uses them in their mouthwash. Tea tree oil is also very good but it can burn the mucosal tissues so you have to know what your doing. A lot of people are allergic to cinnamon oils so you need to be careful with that also. That's why most toothpaste has MINT instead. Fewer people are allergic to mint.
So in all I applaud this guy doing all the 'research' he did but he is NO EXPERT on all things cavity prevention. The other thing I noticed is that his comparative xrays are taken at slightly different angles and that may contribute to the illusion of 'reversed' cavities. Some of those initial cavities may have been 'cervical burnout' and the one on #3 distal looks like it is still there, just less obvious because of the angle of the 2nd xray in Sept.
Thoughts from an actual dental hygienist professional😉🤙=^..^=

We went to the er and they gave her no pain or comfort measures shoved a gauze in the hole and then had me apply the pressure to see if it would clot. Nope it never did. Still after 2hrs in the er they decided to pull out the half clot and start over with pressure. Still no pain or comfort measures. I saw the life sucked out of my traumatized 91yr old mother bless her soul. Hrs later my sister took her home. Her health from that day was spent traumatized by this unnecessary event. It turned a beautiful lady independent living soul into a bed ridden infant. We had to find an adult care house for her and that was 6k pér month. It consumed all her home proceeds and then some. Have you seen the connection between teeth and emotions? Using your protocol and dealing with our emotions would work so well. Gut health also plays into bad emotions. So it's really all connected.
I was able to heal my teeth and my kids teeth years ago. I had deep cavities. But it didn't matter, my body responded. The biggest puzzle piece is God. Like you, I prayed. I set my faith for healthy teeth and I oil pulled, got outside for hours per week (I'm dark). And I added in trace minerals, raw milk, and high animal fats. Such a difference!

Yes. I am turning to God for help on several issues - not sure if my prayers will be answered. Regarding 'oil pulling', I had to look it up to know what it means. I read that you have to swish coconut oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes! That's a long time! I'll end up swallowing it or spitting it out after 1 minute. Surely, it's not that long? Thanks.

    • @carrirowan2961

@Dennis W. Rowntree it is a long time! But you can hold it in your mouth and just swish for a bit and take a break and then swish more. You will build up to the long time! You can do it. Also, other oils offer different benefits. I have done olive oil, coconut oil, sesame oil, almond oil, and walnut oil before. God is so good! We see in the Bible that Jesus never denied anyone healing that came to Him. Believe Him for your healing, and it will be so! I'm believing with you. So cool that you actually gave the information and told people what they can use themselves, without having to buy into some crazy funnel and that you also put the kit there for whoever wants it at a reasonable price. Congrats on your success. The info sounds good compared to some in this niche who make it impossible. As for Weston Price, he is big into meats so clearly some folks have different ideas. The rural Irish people in my grandparents and parents generation were eating food they produced themselves and didn't need dentists or doctors of have much to do with soap or toothbrushes and I didn't see a dentist till I was 15, he then gave me two massive fillings that are nothing but trouble decades later... In any case, you are a breath of fresh air in a very stinking 'health industry' [and I've taken training on many platforms in the past]. Congrats on your results and good luck in this venture. Can't see the liquids making it overseas, cool kit though. I should write a book too and have been hard on myself for thirty years almost about strokes I had at 30 yrs old. Is hemic , small strokes kept happening when I slept,( due to a large calcium deposit size of a quarter and and 3/4 inch thick) on a tendon in my neck that crossed the artery. When I slept with a buckwheat pillow for my headaches, wasxputting pressure on the deposit pressing on artery).
But left me with memory deficits. So I can be doing one thing, and all of a sudden be doing another , totally forgetting what I was doing . Often never remembering I was doing a thing.
I leave to go to a doc appt, and find myself shopping.. lol when I leave to go to docs, I put a small elastic on my finger.. it tight enough to remind me I have to go docs first.. before the blood flow stops. Lol
But I'm glad to see a couple highly educated people having post stroke issues and admit it.
It's not like I don't try to find ways around it,but not ALWAYS Possible. Occasionally," I forget the elastic" or the list, or my phone notebook.
Just knocked a Huuuge monkey off my back.

I'm sorry to hear this. Tooth decay goes way beyond sugar. From what I know, the following cause cavities:
      1. Poor oral hygiene
      2. Microbiome imbalances (some people have an excess of cavity-causing bacteria in their mouth such as S. mutans and others that cause gum disease, halitosis, and gut inflammation).
      3. Nutritional deficiencies - deficiencies in vitamin D, K, magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium cause cavities even if you eat "healthy" and avoid sugar.
      4. Mouth breathing - mouth breathing causes dry mouth which prevents your teeth from getting proper saliva exposure and it makes your mouth more acidic.

It is not just that, pesticides and fluoride based fertilizers lock up a large part of the major minerals and nearly all the minor ones. The best way I have discovered to supply good minerals is to first live where they do not spray the skies with heavy metals and aluminum and avoid the use of pesticides. Then plant trees that set their roots down deep, prune them and mulch the mineral rich branches. I use the mulch in the chicken pen where it produces lots of bugs and worms for the chickens. The mulch is under my fruit trees which provide more food for everyone. Then I use that mulch in the garden as well. When you grow, you need to think in terms of providing blessings for everything and then that love overflows back onto the one who gives it.

Better than juicing, throw all those veggies in a blender and make a smoothie. Ninja's are affordable and capable. You'll get the benefit of all the fiber (blunt blood sugar spikes) and feed your gut microbes some good stuff. Vitamin A and K2 are important in addition to vitamin D; they all work together in mineral transport. K2 is particularly tricky to consume in an American diet. Weston Price referred to it as "Activator X." Besides fluoride, there are toothpastes with various compounds like CPP-ACP that could work just as well or better for remineralization. Fluffy floss works a lot better than waxed floss at removing plaque between teeth. Xylitol gum is another useful adjunct in remineralization as it increases the flow of saliva, helping raise mouth pH and inhibits s. mutans from multiplying. That's my brain dump from being a victim of tooth decay and turning things around to a manageable state. Too bad more dentists aren't educating patients better on ways to stop and reverse dental disease.

I once read an article online, "Now a weed, once a prehistoric cavity fighter" (by Ranjodh Singh, published in 2014), about the tuber of a common weed known as purple nutsedge (or nutgrass).
" ... new research suggests that prehistoric humans in what is
now central Sudan may have gotten an unusual benefit from it.
Stephen Buckley, an archaeological chemist from the University of
York in England, analyzed dental calculus - a form of hardened
plaque - in fossilized teeth from people who lived thousands of
years ago, in the pre-Mesolithic, Neolithic, and Meroitic periods.
In a paper published in the journal PLOS One, Dr. Buckley and his
colleagues report that the teeth had remarkably few cavities and
high levels of the chemical compounds found in purple nutsedge,
suggesting that the plant may have protected against tooth decay."
I ate some raw during one holiday in the countryside, before I knew its value for dental health. It's best eaten when the plants are still small. Then the tuber is white and round, and quite tasty.
Wishing you all the best, debbie debbie.

very good presentation, the lack of minerals in produce is actually worse than you described. You need 2 grams of phosphorus daily for remineralizing teeth, and it used to be that you could get that from just one organic apple from your back yard, now you need to eat 20 apples to get your day's supply. The problem is that the negative ions in the halogen sodium fluoride which is used in pesticides and commercial aluminum based fertilizers ,bind with the minerals in the soil, making them unavailable to the plants. Your major minerals lose a percentage to this electrical amalgamation process, but since there is so much calcium for instance, the plant still grows. The problem comes in with the trace minerals. There is such a minuscule amount in the soil, that a good dose of negative ions can bind up nearly all the trace minerals. And then if the soil is organic, you can still have many of the trace minerals just plain missing from the soil. This makes it very difficult even if you have a farm and grow your own organic produce as I do. I came up with deficiencies and finally just went to the one place that supplies all the minerals, the ocean.

    • @danielben-avraham1539
      @danielben-avraham1539 Год назад

@@LuciaExpressions Yes, anything and everything edible from the ocean tends to be very high in nutrients. Looking at just phosphorus which is a vital mineral for teeth and bones. We want 2g daily when remineralizing teeth. 100g of beef or chicken will provide about 213mg, where 100g of canned tuna is 300mg and 100g of sardines is 491mg. Of course sardines are the big winner, supplying B complex vitamins, Vitamin D, Omega 3's, calcium, phosphorus, and selenium to name just a few. In fact this little fish contains nearly every mineral and nutrient required by humans. But then again, they feed off plankton. Eating from the sea is the easiest way to rebuild teeth. It is how I did it. The nice part about the ocean is that you get a pretty stable field of minerals unlike the land. That is why traditionally most people lived by the ocean. Lots of salt, and high quality food. Kelp of course is a mineral rich food and high in iodine which is very important to all glands, hormone production, and tooth repair. But yes, everything you listed, plus.

For many years I brushed my teeth with Colgate Total toothpaste, which contains Triclosan, a toxic chemical that causes an endocrine balance which affects calcium metabolism (perhaps due to having an effect on thyroid function). Women are most affected and prone to developing osteoporosis from chronic exposure to Triclosan.
My experience is that exposure to other chemicals such as those in enamel paints and/or germicidal products (antibacterial soaps etc, hand sanitizers, germicidal household products) can have a similar effect.
Thank you for your inspiring video, I do believe that cavities can be reversed, but I didn't realize that Vitamin D plays such an important role. I now suspect that my fondness for tinned sardines did a lot to counteract the effect of my exposure to Triclosan. Without that the damage would probably have been far greater.
I suffered from chronic back pain, probably due to osteoporosis. That improved rapidly when I began using sugar-free maltitol-sweetened licorice sweets to encourage the absorption of calcium.
I didn't keep it up however, and during the pandmic, with constant exposure to antimicrobial sprays, the back pain returned. When I resumed the maltitol/calcium regime, however, my condition improved again. I've now decided to continue with it.
I read on the Internet that sugar alcohols such as maltitols sensitize the villi in the small intestine and significantly increase the absorption of calcium consumed directly afterwards.
Furthermore, maltitol also hampers the growth of cavity-forming Streptococcus mutans.
Sugar alcohols by themselves are potentially detrimental to health -- the larger the quantity, the more damage they can do to intestinal flora. However, I have found that taking only one small piece of sugar-free (maltitol-sweetened) licorice about 30 minutes before I consume calcium-rich food or supplements, took away my back pain.
The bioflavonoid rutin also increases calcium absorption, but it has to be consumed together with Vitamin C always, otherwise the rutin isn't properly absorbed or "activated".
Sardines are rich in Vitamin D and also contains a bit of calcium. I can, if I want to, also take a couple of calcium tablets together with that (since fish are a source of lysine, which aids calcium absorption), as long as the sardines aren't canned in oil, which may hamper calcium absorption.
If I don't take the calcium supplement (preferably in the form of calcium citrate) together with sardines, I take it with half a lysine tablet, rutin (which also combines well with lysine), and half a tablet of Vitamin C. (Thirty minutes after eating a small piece of sugar-free [maltitol-sweetened] sweet licorice.) Like rutin, supplemental lysine needs to be taken together with Vitamin C for maximal absorption.
Some people are highly allergic to rutin and can go into anaphylatic shock after exposure to it. Rutin supplements are usually made from buckwheat flowers, the richest natural source of rutin (and probably one of the cheapest). Some people are allergic to buckwheat.
I don't know if you've heard about hydroxy apatite; some people use it to brush their teeth, but I use the tablets as a rinse after brushing my teeth with an Arabic herbal toothpaste (Miswak, using extract from the arak tree)
My tooth enamel deteriorated while I used a fluoride-free toothpaste, so I began to use a fluoride toothpaste again. When I tried Miswak however I decided to stick with that, since it's the best toothpaste I've ever used, and I'm glad that it's also good value for money. I saw on Wikipedia that it "contains insoluble fluoride in high concentration, calcium, salicylic acid, and some antioxidants of unclear function".
In my country grapes are often sprayed after harvest with a fungicide that are toxic to kidneys. It seems that this also gets into most of our commercial fruit juices, since I've repeatedly experienced kidney pain after drinking it. Nevertheless it's very interesting to hear about the benefits of grapes and grape seed extract.
With regard to Vitamin D, too much could cause kidney damage. Unnatural thirst is one sign of Vitamin D excess. But I'm glad that the kind you use doesn't affect the kidneys.
Thank you for the extra information Mr Arruda, things I didn't know. I'm glad to learn more. THANK YOU for your input!

Getting rid of fluoride toothpaste is a big start to not having cavities. Also, never trust someone who makes their money from filling cavities. Recently, my wife's dentist told her that she needed a root canal but, instead, she stopped using toothpaste with fluoride and started doing black cumin oil pulling and guess what? She no longer needed a root canal.

Yes!! I stopped years ago and only drink distilled water because there's no flouride. I haven't been to a dentist in 30 years.
