Ultimate Burton Step In Hack

  • After using Burton Step In Bindings for 5 winters, I finally created this hack that I wish I did years ago. The motivation is the many days of deep powder we get here in the Sierra's in California. Back Country / Off Piste can be very dangerous on a snowboard if you cannot reach and release your bindings. This is especially a problem with the Burton Step In Bindings. So here is my hack

    I like it, I would move the release levers to the inside.

    nice idea. seems like a good prototype burton should include as an accessory, (or if you're interested, create as an aftermarket others can purchase). Seems super useful for day to day riding!

    For the people saying burton should do it, unfortunately, they might be late to the game because Clew patented that release system as far as I recall 😢

    How about showing us how you did it. Link what you used. Also I’ve seen this before several times so I wouldn’t say you came up with it.

    You just killed your warranty.

      The bindings are four years old, warranty is long gone . Regardless, I don’t care about the warranty. If I can make something better on any of my sports equipment, I don’t hesitate to do it.
