I live in America and I've talked to pilots who have had mock dogfights and they lose every time! It does supercruise at Mach 1.8 without afterburner.. I personally think it would crush anything made by Russia or China! In fact America is working on a new plane that is so advanced that it will have no vertical stabilizers or horizontal stabilizers. It will have wingmen who are drones using a.i. to go into the attack with the pilot..
That plane is so technically advanced that America will not allow it to be sold to anyone! The US cannot by law, export sales to anyone else but USAF. It’s a strategic weapon system , not tactical. We can position them within a host nation like Poland that authorizes such a deployment but we cannot sell. The F-35 is a program that allows the sale as well as deployment of US aircraft. Squadrons of F-22’s, F-35’s and F-15’s means these aircraft dominates the skies especially when combined with other equally excellent NATO aircraft. With these guys appearing , it’s End game.

I am from Las Vegas Nevada, Watching the F22 take off after F16s the 22 is much more faster than the 16s the way they have the howl when advancing the throttle is very intimidating, seen 10 take off in pairs of 2 impressive to say the least
I'm from Los Angeles. Whenever I took my 45 min Southwest flight I'd get a room off Fremont Street and bumped into 4 pilots in the elevator and just me... still in their flight suits coming back to the hotel to relax and rest for their next day. I said, "Let me gues... The Skunk Works YF-22 Raptor?" They gave me the nod. Those guys are the rock stars of US aviation.... Asked them a couple questions and thanked them....but was just so rare and random.. me and f-22 pilots in the elevator. Very cool dudes and you could tell they loved flying them and were super nice and humble. But yes... Vegas is one of the spots they train... probably cause it's so close to where they made them in Lancaster, CA on the outskirts of huge LA county up in the high desert. But that's cool Dale... It's my favorite aircraft by far.

Not really.. the YF23 was faster, stealthier,, but she didn't have the maneuvers the 22 had.. what they should have done is taken the thrust vectors and put them on the YF23 then you would have had a beast! The other issue was the lack of sales to foreign countries.. plus computers were changing so fast in speed.. the F35 with its fusion sensor technology is what makes it deadly! It uses the military satellites called "the ever watching eye" and it uploads that data to the plane.. all the plane has to do is go to where it's told and the weapons system lights up all the ground targets and anything flying that's evil.. unload everything and go home!

F35 radar cross section is 0.005 m2 while F22 RCS is 0.0001. Also both of them were designed with different principles in mind. F22 is air superiority fighter where F35 is basicaly battle field dominator. It is flying computer, weapon management. F22 dominates F35 in speed and maneuverability.

They were the first 5th gen planes ever made and still are the superior 5th gen and now there leading the 6th gen production. As for advanced fighter training, they have the Air Force Weapons School (different training squadrons for different aircraft), which is their version of the Navy's Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center which TOPGUN program is part of. Exercise red flag is a realistic air combat exercise event, not a school that provides advanced training on fighter tactics and techniques like the Air Force Weapons School or Navy TOPGUN.
The U.S. Navy has Top Gun School that last under 2 months. The USAF has Fighter Weapons School which is a few days longer than 7 months. You think Top Gun School has anything greater than USAF Fighter Weapons School? Not a chance!!! It was the toughest school ever!!!

They can do this because they take off w/a very light fuel load and then refuel in the air . Most strike aircraft do this to increase weapons load .

I have been inside of that Air Force base and it is very impressive, I saw all 50 f 16 but sadly the f 22s were not visible.

I said, "Let me gues... The Skunk Works YF-22 Raptor?" They gave me the nod. Those guys are the rock stars of US aviation.... Asked them a couple questions and thanked them....but was just so rare and random.. me and f-22 pilots in the elevator. Very cool dudes and you could tell they loved flying them and were super nice and humble. But yes... Vegas is one of the spots they train... probably cause it's so close to where they made them in Lancaster, CA on the outskirts of huge LA county up in the high desert. But that's cool Dale... It's my favorite aircraft by far.

F-22 Raptor is the TOP Gun of Modern Fighter Jet in Air-Air Combat .
Raptors are so impressive, but I can't help to think YF23's would be even more so
Not really.. the YF23 was faster, stealthier,, but she didn't have the maneuvers the 22 had.. what they should have done is taken the thrust vectors and put them on the YF23 then you would have had a beast! The other issue was the lack of sales to foreign countries.. plus computers were changing so fast in speed.. the F35 with its fusion sensor technology is what makes it deadly! It uses the military satellites called "the ever watching eye" and it uploads that data to the plane.. all the plane has to do is go to where it's told and the weapons system lights up all the ground targets and anything flying that's evil.. unload everything and go home!
@Craig I know it was way faster than the 22.. it always comes down to lobbying the air force generals who procure that crap.. after they retire they're placed on the board with a yearly salary of one Million dollars a year.. the whole government is corrupt and now they're turning the IRS into a weapon with authority to use deadly force? That will start a war! This leads to a deadly confrontation!
I remember seeing something that said Japan was interested in buying the YF-23 design to make its own stealth fighters, and it sounds super cool if it does happen

@@matipoprostumati There is nothing better than F22 that has been revealed to the public. First of all F117 is not even a fighter. It wasn't designed as such.
F35 radar cross section is 0.005 m2 while F22 RCS is 0.0001. Also both of them were designed with different principles in mind. F22 is air superiority fighter where F35 is basicaly battle field dominator. It is flying computer, weapon management. F22 dominates F35 in speed and maneuverability.
I get pretty nervous thinking about a fight with Russia. I pray we never go to war against each other. I’m hoping our leaders make wise choices, however Putin doesn’t seem to be a reasonable man.

They were the first 5th gen planes ever made and still are the superior 5th gen and now there leading the 6th gen production. With the upgrades they are now basically the first 6th gen fighter and they have had some really nice upgrades this year
We have more like 120 and they're not overhauling as much as simply updating some electronic interfaces.

They are using afterburners, but their engines are more shielded than standard aircraft so more difficult to spot the afterburner tail.

As for advanced fighter training, they have the Air Force Weapons School (different training squadrons for different aircraft), which is their version of the Navy's Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center which TOPGUN program is part of. Exercise red flag is a realistic air combat exercise event, not a school that provides advanced training on fighter tactics and techniques like the Air Force Weapons School or Navy TOPGUN.
The U.S. Navy has Top Gun School that last under 2 months. The USAF has Fighter Weapons School which is a few days longer than 7 months. You think Top Gun School has anything greater than USAF Fighter Weapons School? Not a chance!!! It was the toughest school ever!!!
