I just love how close you are with your aunt and your uncle and your cousin, it’s so heartwarming to watch.
My very favorite tour guide is Stephanie. When she goes on her trips and takes us along it is always entertaining, informative and fun!!!
Stephanie, you are a brilliant storyteller, your commentary is superb.
I love shopping with you guys! I love when I get the exciting and fascinating history of the items you show and the places you go.
Me 2 🎉
Be awesome to shop there!
More shopping!
So Lovely to See your Dear Aunt and Uncle once again 🌹❣️🌹 such a Very Special Relationship!!
It is never to eRly to think about Holiday decor …… especially Christmas …… and Halloween
The copper bin could be used for umbrellas 😊
How are you not beyond 250+ thousand subscribers? Your channel is educational and lovely!
I totally agree, I know plenty that are bigger and though I like them, non are as varied a slice of Chateau life and with Stephanie’s natural face on camera it should have many more followers and views.
Those faux bois benches from the brocante sale would look absolutely magical in Lalande's woods
@@Eclecting I noticed them too. I was thinking, I bet Nick could make some like that.❤️
@@margielynch7196 Most are made from concrete I believe. I love them too!
I liked them, too - but they would never have fit in the car!
@@andreadern4463 I was thinking of making them from willow trees. The branches are very pliable if you soak them in water. I’ve seen them made in the mountains of North Carolina.❤️
@margielynch7196 Yes, we have them at the mountain houses.
It would be nice to see a tour about Château de Blérancourt and the American Committee that helped in WWI.
I love you're history lessons!💕💕
Beautiful items! Good variety! Well done
I purchased quite a bit at this wonderful brocante (in my imagination).
Me too!
I have dreamt of going to France since about age 12.
Well it is a close call about which videos are best, but just remember we would have never met Dan without Stephanie 😂😂❤❤❤
Dan is okayish no style or bank of knowledge 2 share though
@mariaelenaloveslove They have different knowledge and experiences to share.
@@1968rhiannon thumbs up yes different
@@mariaelenaloveslove
Lots of knowledge to share if you want to fix up a chateau🤗
@@mariaelenaloveslove He has plenty of knowledge, just different from Stephanie. I love watching both of them and even more when they are together.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So many lovely things.
Love the new sunglasses Stephanie👍
They’re Downton Abbey sunglasses!
@@TheChateauDiaries I remember them, and the lady who came to the Chateau and she sells them. Not sure if anyone remembers just where they can purchase them? Am quite sure I am correct, and she sells them? They really do look so nicely on you !
I hadn't looked up Pezenas on a map until this video when you said that Montpellier had eclipsed it (somewhat). I've been to Montpellier and loved it! It is one of my favorite cities in France. Pezenas is very charming and I'd love to visit. Thanks for sharing!
I find its best to find Christmas things before anyone else is thinking about Christmas.
Those figures looked like a large chess set pieces
I think you should have gotten the room divider it matched your bedding ❤
Yes, it was beautiful.
best show in the galaxy
I think you guys need to have another costume ball where people dress as famous writers through history just so Phillip can dress up as Moliere. He would make a great Moliere. He's got the hair for it and the style to pull it off. Or you could do a Versailles party and Stephanie can be the Duke of Oreleans. 😃
Never ever to many plant pots lol in fact I think that giant copper pot would have made a great planter lol 😅
For something tall like an indoor palm 🌴
Each vlog from you Stephanie is a new lesson for me. That was very informative and relaxing, so many interesting things. You certainly have a hard job reigning Philip in lol 🤗
Love the medical knights chess set. Inspiration for Aumorey
Medical!!! 😂
Medieval Amaury
Love the history!! Must visit!
Love that Brocante and the history of that area. So interesting Stephanie thank you
I laughed when that lady passed you and then turned around to look at you talking to your camera ❤❤
😂😂
It makes me look crazy! It took me a couple of years to get over the embarrassment of filming in public 😂
I hope you purchased the ladle. It's awesome.
The cape was pretty elegant. I was surprised when you passed on it. Although, you both probably already have several.
I loved those blue and white plates. Are they transferware?
Steven and Chantel, the shrimp and garlic aoli, looked delicious. How lovely to see you all together for an intimate meal.
Thanks, as always.
❤ from TX!
Those figures you were wondering "what are they for?" could be chess pieces.
Ahhh, I loved every minute! Thank you so much! xx
Love seeing flea markets in different places. Thanks for sharing
I have Oya's in my raised garden beds and planters. Love them as I only have to fill them every few days and my plants do so well.
In my opinion Philip is a big Shopper , he is always buying dishes etc and always has a reason of his purchases. He obviously loves China and porcelain and decorating
I lived in Pezenas for 2 yrs. Loved it. Had a stunning 17th century apartment.
Great history, beautiful town and some really good treasures. Always good to see your aunt and uncle. 🇨🇦❤️
Good evening from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
What are those amazing bench’s …wows ❤
I love your aunt AND uncle, can't have enougth of them! Such sweet AND charming people! Cheers!
Love a bit of antique shopping with Stephanie, ❤we always learn so much about 🇫🇷 France, perfection 😊🎉. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Safe travels 🏴 x Rosie O x
I enjoyed the video, thank you!!
I love seeing all the stuff! And I'm hoping to find a stack of books like that at the library sale next week!
Safe travels! Hugs!
you really live the life of a chatelaine not of a peasant., you have people at home doing the work and you get to travel and shop , oh what a life....
@@nalubarale6658 Stephanie has worked very long and hard for the lifestyle she is living now. Best wishes to her🌈
Think the “tiny carafe” in the beginning of the video was for salad dressing-oil and vinegar.
I enjoy you taking us out, it's so lovely to see all the treasures. 🥰
I always enjoy shopping with you, and Philip.
Got myself a bowl of homemade soup, got cozy on the couch with my cat (it is Autumn here in the U.S. as well) and watched this video with a very happy heart. One of my fave types of vlog you make! Thank you! ♡
And Spring here in Australia.

Lucky you😊it is Autumn here i in Norway🥹
Philips new pants (trousers) make him seem more like a tailored man than a little boy trying to squeeze into pants that don’t fit. New pants look much more sophisticated. 🎉
😂
@@allisonolcott1263 Styles come and go. At my age I have lived through over 7 decades of change 😀❤️
@@bevmc5061, how do you know what his pants look like? 😂
OK. I was joking. You probably live on the other side pf the pond. Just to a Brittish English speaker it sounds like you're discussing his undies. 😊
@@annivali4356haha. You are right, I am from the other side of the pond, I should edit my comment.
@@allisonolcott1263 , it's OK. Nice to have a giggle. If you don't mind some silly Europeans chuckling a bit at your comment, I think you should leave it.
I'm just in a weird mood these last few days and have commented more than ever. Might be the magnet storms. 😆
My take on the wooden figurines is that they are chess pieces, when you think of knights, rooks, and other pieces. Otherwise, truly wonderful finds.
I was looking for this comment. I also immediately thought so
Very interesting viisit, as usual ! It is good to have you as a history guide in this beautiful town ❤
So nice Stephanie staying with aunt and ancle
love shopping and learning with you!
what a lovely little town!
Wow Stephanie you make these tours so exciting and interesting. Your knowledge of the history is amazing.
Love seeing you and Philip shopping. Everything you buy is so interesting and beautiful.
Thank you for bringing me along ❤❤
Thank you for a wonderful tour of Pezenas! I enjoyed the antiques faire ! Also, it was good see an interesting example Sarreguemines. I have a child’s ca.1900 Kate Greenaway style washbasin on stand from this pottery.
I also prefer used items for me they have more charm, I also like kitchens could we have a peek at your aunt's please. Enjoy your family
Her aunt wants that to wait until she's done decorating.
love when u go to brocantes
This one is fabulous I thought!!
This was the Best. Thank you for taking us along.❤
Love the tour along with the history. Soooo PERFECT! Thank you for taking us along.💖
I love how you wove the history of the city into your browsing. Very interesting and you found some gems. I would have definitely caved for that gorgeous cape, though!
So many pretty things from so many eras
I absolutely loved the white plates with birds in blue. Beautiful!
Stephanie’s history lessons are the best 😍👏 I wish I had had you as a teacher back in school (although I am the same age as you 😬)
This was exactly what I needed to see today - thank you for taking us along. I love hearing the history about the village. It was wonderful ! ❤
Oh my goodness you should’ve bought that remote control car and sold it on your website, I bet you would’ve had 100 men wanting that, something they would’ve loved as a boy. I know it’s not porcelain but that was really special. Thank you for showing it to us it was so cool.
U ALL leave me with such joyful pleasure ❤ thanks a big bunch ⚘️🪻🌷🌼 for sharing with us!
It's interesting to me that it appears the friendship between Stephanie and her Aunt is tighter than Isabell with her sister? Am I right or not?? Either way they are all charming
Stephanie's aunt is also her godmother. There are several siblings in Isabelle's family.
Remember that you only see Stephanie’s interactions with people, since it is her vlog. Our viewpoint is not a fair way to judge other people’s relations with each other.
Isabelle was born in July of 1941 reportedly. I think there are or were also 4 brothers. I'm not sure of the birth order or the range of birth dates, but Isabelle might be the eldest and Chantal the next to youngest. There were 13 years between my eldest sister and me. She was out of the house by the time I was at the age of remembering. I didn't know her as well as I did the sister who was closer in age to me and still at home.
Stephanie's aunt came to live with her sister and brother-in-law, and then her husband and sons lived with their family. They restored homes together. ❤
@@deedeed6853 Friendships with other relatives is always a little different than with parents.❤️
What a lovely getaway merci thank you I liked the giant mouse too, Philippe ! 🇨🇦💜🇫🇷🇬🇧🍂🐕🐭
Well, that was just wonderful. Thank you for sharing such a fabulous trip to the antiques fair. 💜
That was such a wonderful shopping adventure! I love the regional furniture books- nice score!!
Lovely, you get to look for treasures.
Great history of this small town, great buys too.
Great shades Stephanie!!
So many beautiful Antiques i love it when we can go Antique video shopping . 🥰😍🐾🐾
Grab Sean! ( Sean’s World!) Tell him about this copper.
Sean lives a 9 hour drive away from Pezenas

Absolutely love the outings and the market. Wonderful.
I love these shopping for thr chateau vlogs.
Those chess pieces are brilliant. You could have them as a fun game in your garden.
I loved those thr most. And that very old quilt with 2 different patterns.
And they can live in the tower!

You could put your own logo onto plain sheets with your machine. Brilliant to see all around this market. Your vlogs are great.
Merci beaucoup pour le tour de ville de Pézenas. Vous nous faites découvrir les beautés de la France avec beaucoup de talent ❤
Love the history...!!
Stephanie - you are a born tour guide - so much knowledge and energy! Thank you.
I miss your tours with our friend Ollie in Spain. You two bounce history + decor off of each other!!❤ Very educational ❤❤
Those tiles at 6:52 look nearly identical to the border tiles in the ground floor salon of Dan's Château de Chaumont! I swear they are the same. Edit: I went back to Dan's vlog on Escape to Rural France ( it was titled "Restoring a forgotten chateau ruin - what we found will shock you") from a year ago. The tiles are similar but Dan's tiles have a dark red toned background. Not twins, just cousins.
Love the shopping.❤
we love Pezenas but oh my! to have that brocante going at the same time!! have missed that in the past. now its on my calendar for May! that was a Premium brocante, all stellar vendors - once again you scored!
Enjoyed from Texas!
I love when you go to brocantes. Can’t wait to see your Halloween costume. ❤
Ooh love that pottery! ❤️🍇❤️
A beautiful Brocsnte Day! Thanks Stephanie and Phillip!!
History stunning
very interesting brocante in a lovely old city, thanks for taking us along👍and dinner with aunt and uncle with huge prawns 🍤and aioli (cannot be copied unfortunately) are the highlights indeed 🍷
Do not think the glasses you purchsed were Waterford were they? We have a (heavy) vase of glass exact;y like that one you were purchasing with the glasses! It is kept on my dining room table! I never realized there were more of them. It was handed down from family to us. It is a marvelous set you found! We do not have the whole set, just the vase. Beautiful. Love this shopping. The tea cups and saucers that are more for 'collection' are nice too. I had some given to us from a lady who had to get rid of hers and she wanted me, to take them badly, and as she is a friend , I willingly did take them! She did not need to plead at all, and it was so nice of her to think of me for receiving them, They are so lovely! She had them up on shelves (variety of styles), but we did not want her taking down the shelves too, so we will figure out another place for them. My husband can make them too really.
I think you seem to have the greatest antique shopping places in France. Love it! No end to what you can find there! Amazing! Thank you, Stephanie !!
Wow, loved that toile screen
Id be wanting all of those things!
I love videos of flea market antique shopping! Thank you❤ loved that very old red (and other colours) quilt next to the giant shoe.
Me too! 🥰
Capes and black lace.
Was happy when you added information on Moliere!
Some of those tiles look like Dan's floor. I'd love that giant chess set. What neat things.
I love to see the markets
I keep the same family Moto of eating to live combined with breakfast like a king, lunch as a prince, dine as a begger
The decline in France’s wealth during the 19th century corresponds to the enslaved people of Haiti overthrowing their slavers and the French government. Haiti, that tiny half-island) was the wealthiest colony in the entire Western Hemisphere, responsible for France’s great wealth and monuments and chateaux and many other French symbols of wealth that exist to this day. France (along with their US ally) wrote the terms of the treaty and it was unusual because the losers set the terms. They required Haiti to pay back to France all of their property loses, which included the loss of enslaved people. There were many other cruel terms set by the French (and the US), who feared the spread of revolts by the enslaved and the loss of the source of their great wealth. In effect, poverty was imposed upon Haiti by France and it took Haitians nearly a century and a half to pay back France. It’s truly tragic that no amends by France have since been made to Haiti for their brutal treatment and exploitation of these enslaved people and their descendants.
I thought France started to send aid to Hati like reparations in the last years. I will have to look it up.
Had no idea- course history classes were pretty vague in my highschool years. Here in USA. Thanks for the knowledge..
@@dianegriffith3006 It’s tragic how ignorant they keep US. You’re welcome!
I took AP classes in history and math. It was the only way to learn about Civil War in school in the south. My niece took so many AP classes that she got a semester of college credit. Give the next generation books, books and more books. ❤
I enjoy videos about different places in France and often make a note as to the names of places that I would like to visit. Problem is that sometimes I don't know how to spell the name when searching google maps. Wondering if you could put the names of the places you are visiting in the description of the video so I can find out more. As an example, this video was, I think, about Pezenas? But all I could think of was Pirates of Penzance, which I know is in the UK. LOL.
More books to be stored... in the container 😂... you guys need a library in every room of the château ... that would be amazing...
They have book cases in most rooms at Lalande. Stephanie wants to make a library out of the winter salon. ❤
Yes, i was aware of it.... thanks Caroline 😊@@carolinegooder7091
