    Great Review! I just purchased this cooler in Gray for the back of my 2023 Honda HRV to have during the hotter months in Alabama. I have 3 boys that are always asking for something cold to drink while in the car on short and long distance travel.
    This will be perfect!

    Another big factor is pre-chilling all your drinks and food. If you do that with pre chilling the cooler, you’ll get several days. That just goes for any cooler, water bottle, thermos, etc.

    Little tip for those that are worried about a lack of drain plug: use a tube to siphon water out, literally a straight tube will work. Put it in, jig it up and down and watch the magic. Just make sure your tube exit sits lower than where the water is going in at.

    Just letting you know draining that water will dramatically increase the temperature... Believe it or not that water is helping keep it very cold so I would only drain. If you? Have. Certain things that need to be dry

      Thanks for the feedback and for watching 🙏 depending on the circumstances I will leave the water yes to keep it cold. If I have an opportunity to drain and feel with some fresh ice than I will 🔥🥃

    Good testing of the yeti, but didn't take in consideration that coolers get moved around camp so the ice just doesn't sit there, the cooler was not in the sun if your not lucky to have shade, also it gets opened and closed all the time from people getting drinks and moving ice.

    My observation / question is:
    You did this January 7th - 12th. What was the temp outside when you did this?
    Also, your test in a shaded garage, in winter might yield different results as opposed to July 7th - 12th left in the backyard in the sun.

    I own this cooler in red and I also have a Tundra 65. My 65 I had in the navy blue like yours but the lid warped I think the darker colors absorb sunlight and this can be an issue. I did contact yeti and they replaced it and the process was extremely easy. They even shipped me a Tundra 65 in tan. Great products and excellent customer service. I do love the roadie too but the lack of drain plus is a little annoying but not a deal breaker.

    • @TheRichest88
      @TheRichest88  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching and the feedback. I don’t think you can go wrong either way….both are great products it’s all about preference. The Hopper is a great grab and go, more portability the only flaw is that zipper IMO it’s heavy duty ( which is the point) but the fact you have to be applying lubrication stick to it constantly and the fact for that style of cooler there is ZERO storage for a bottle opener, snacks etc I would def go Roadie. Good luck with your purchase 🔥

      Thank you for watching, I also use my RTIC 20 and it is very very reliable just as much as the Roadie. The drain port is definitely a plus and certainly comes in hand in those time you need to dump it easily. As I stated in the video I have seen those drains leaks over sometime but still a mystery as to why other than the roadie all other sizes have a ports. Again thanks for watching 🔥

    The drain holes at face value seems to be a deal breaker to most people. But if you really use your brain, you realize that no drains is better. Because like the man said, you never have to worry about air or leak from the drain hole. And i seen youtube videos where the the cooler enthusiasts say to leave the water. Because it helps keep it cooler longer. When u take the water out its like your removing insulation from the remaining ice. The water helps the ice last longer actually. But, all that being said, i have always been a perfectionist, and because of that, i would only get models without drain plugs. Because the drain plug is just adding unnecessary drama. 🎭. Also, now my final statement. Yes i like how theres no drain plug. But the ONE and only thing i HATE about this cooler is the height. The height just makes the cooler look ridiculously ugly. And harder to get in a small cars trunk. If only they kept the height of the 15 Hardcoolers height and adjusted all other measurements to make it still a 24, then it be perfect. But unfortunately, because of the height i have to choose the smaller 15 even though its to small. If Yeti was smart, they make a 24 with the height of the 15. Then they have perfection. But regardless, they make this so hard to pick. ✌️

      @@kyobear5453 anything to reflect suns rays. White insulated lids. Thermo bags from Walmart are cheap. You fill the bag up first inside a cooler. Anything helps. It’s 110 now where I live. Ice won’t last with any cooler. Just give it some help.
